Zenfone 2 Stock Marshmallow 223 Bugs?

Hey everyone,
Im using the latest stock LP on my Zenfone 2.
Im planning to try out the latest stock Marshmallow from asus
i.e. 223
What are the bugs u guys are facing?
Please let me know. So accordingly i'll flash MM

This version is pretty stable imo. I've encountered only one issue: After I use the GPS, the phone heats up and it starts draining battery. This can be solved by restarting the phone after using GPS stuff (Google Maps etc). I rarely use the GPS so this doesn't bother me. Other than that, performance is good and battery is the same as on LP. All sensors are working correctly.

Other than GPS everything good?

the bugs of this phone are a russian roulette, the phone is the same but there are huge differences of how the phone is bugged from piece ti piece. for me working all except the proximity sensor, battery is good but I use greenyfy and have debloated all.
you must try mm and see if you will be lucky or not.

Only problem for me (and it happens also to others here) is sometimes the screen freeze, music/video still playing, haptic feedback on buttons, but nothing else, after ~20 seconds everything freeze and need to hard reboot. This happens ~1 a day.

Had a few call freezes on 223M , 184M was better on battery IMO
But since latest TWRP installed , getting 5 hrs screen on time to my personal 6hrs record on .184M
Bear in mind , its stock with junk removed , rooted etc etc

Unresponsive touch when phone runs. After lock screen and unlock it its all ok.

Hello there. Im new to this forum. Im using a A3 2016 galaxy model. I was running 6.0.1. I decided to update to 7.0 via Odin because this update hasnt released in my country. It was all good. The keyboard was fast and responsive. After a minute was unresponisve. i mean i was typing sthng fast and in the end only the half word was done! i googled this and found a lot of threads about this in nougat . After that i saw unresponsive pitch zoom in gallery. But when i lock and unlocked the screen zoom and keyboard lag was gone. i think its general unresponsive(not only in keyboard and zoom). I decide to downgrade back to 6.0.1 . Faster than nougat of course. But all of the sudden the probem was still there!!! Now im writing to help me out guys. I have some thinks in my mind:
1.Is Odin s fault?
2.I moved on to my village that temp is 40 celsius. Is the temp ?or the temperd glass became unresponsive cause of that hot weather? So its tempered glass fault ?
3. Is a hardware s problem? (i dont think so because all was good before *as i remember* )
Its just a temporary issue and will go away by the time ?
Note ! I wiped the cache and data 3 times at least!!!

Same situation I thought is the fault of hardware not enought performant on some situation, the ram isn't suffisant to use two application on the same time, I find that nougat is more laggy than marshmallow but when nougat lag the phone freeze and with marshmallow it was more time to response probably du by too much information waiting ... Can you say me when you get thoses issues to may or may not confirm my theory

The stock keyboard is also very laggy on my A310f using any Samsung based Nougat ROM.
I generally use the standalone Touchtype Swiftkey, which is just head and shoulders above any other KB I've found, and which you can make almost identical(but better) via theming, if you really must have the look of the S-Keyboard. I'm also so used to the Swiftkey symbol/key layout and find it much faster and intuitive to type with in general.
I haven't found any other lag issues with Nougat on Samsung ROMs, other than keyboard input.

I think that happens when overheating.

I Will try intilization via Smart Switch to my stock rom.

Some serious touch problems

Hello everyone ,
From past few days i'm facing massive problems with my touchscreen , for example - can't able to type properly always ended up with something else which i did'nt wanted to type , trying to call contact A but call connects to contact B , not able to unlock my lockscreen (sometimes after 7-8 times trying , it works) and many more . But whenever i plug in my redmi 2 prime to charger (wall or in pc ) all the touch problems vanished :3 it works smooth as hell and i do not face any of the touch problems but as soon as i unplugged it from the charger the problem again reappears
Anyone of you facing such problems?

P.S - I did reset , flashed fastboot rom , flashed recovery roms but none of them worked .:crying:

I get reverse problem when i connect the phone into charging and use it. Screen gets unresponsive or keeps tapping itself. Its a normal problem in low end devices. Now in new phones it would had been fixed. But in ur situation i think its a problem with data connection of high frequency. Coz i got that problem in a low end lava device of 2013 , where screen becomes unresponsive when connected to charger or when i turn on 3g data connection. In my experience it might be due to high signal strengths the phone would gets junky. Try flashing back to kitkat miui with clean flash and update to miui lollipop if u have 2 gb ram phone

It could be becouse of the voltage, are you using a custom kernel?

About .309 update...

After i install .309 here i found the bugs is:
-wallpaper does not working once u want to change ur wallpaper
-when open camera the brightness will turn to max
-scrolling sometimes quite weird
-multitouch bugs
-typing will feel alittle bit delay or lag sometimes..?
-geature like double tap to wake and swipe to wake is not working(require to off the geature and on agn then working)
-recovery mode is missing in action...
-charging quite little slow..
does anyone has facing same problem to me? leave the comment...

(can someone able to send to asus support center there cause it always say me verification pending and i already verify 1day ago...)

That seems to be default behavior and not a bug.
-scrolling sometimes quite weird
Scrolling seems to be smooth. I have changed animation to .5X.
-multitouch bugs
Do not have this issue.

Can you elobrate this? I have TWRP and that works fine.
-charging quite little slow..
My phone take 3 hours to charge fully from 10%. Seems to be same as previous version. Try restarting the phone before putting it for charging, it may help.

A) For me, changing wallpapers works like a charm. I haven't tried live wallpapers.

A) This is the norm for a lot of apps. One prominent example is Open Camera.
Q) scrolling sometimes quite weird
A) No problem here.
Q) multitouch bugs
A) I have this issue. When playing games like Batman (tell tale), PUBG, etc. the touch does not respond correctly.

A) No issues here.

A) Confirmed.

A) If you're talking about the switch off menu, I can't confirm this. I have never had the reboot to recovery option.
Q) charging quite little slow..
A) Seems okay to me. 2.5-3 hours from 5-100% battery.
Another bug that I have encountered is that some apps do not work on WiFi connection. The ones I can confirm are Twitter, PhonePe and Amazon Music. They work just fine on mobile data.

live wallpaper doesnt work since .305 update still not fixed in .309 update

I also am having multi touch issue. The screen flickers when I use both fingers to play PUBG Mobile. When will it be fixed ? Any method to fix it without root or harming future OTA updates ?

I have this issue too and I think this is considered a serious problem that Asus need to fix ASAP. A phone with multi-touch issue is really unusable especially when playing games which this phone is catered for. Is there an official Asus site that we file our complain?

google is the one that should fix it not asus
as every phoje that runs android 8.1 with security patch before june has that bug too
even a flagship phone has it

ROM + Kernel or other software combo to prevent battery drain while on video call?

Hi. Is there any rom + kernel combo or any other software related way to get the battery to charge while on video calls or at least hold the charge? I'm using WhatsApp/Messenger while charging and the battery goes down still. It doesn't happen to me on my Mi A2 or Nexus 5X. Is it just a CPU issue? Thanks.

in which ROM you're facing this?

I'm facing it in any nougat+ rom or higher. Both stock and custom. I'm trying to find a decent marshmallow rom other than stock (cause camera freezes on my side only during calls). I found Chroma but opening WhatsApp sometimes causes Reboot.
Edit: Is it just me or does the search function not work anymore. I'm trying to find any mentions of stuff in specific threads and I always get no results; even when I'm literally on a page that mentions it. :/
