Controlling Cyanogenmod13 (aka LineageOS 13) via TeamViewer
Hi. I've been searching fro a way to control a Cyanogenmod13 device and I finally found it!
My device is SM-N900 Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (ha_3g international).
1. Go to Google play market and install application: QuickSupport (there are QS letters written in the top left corner of the icon).
2. Run the app. After TeamViewer downloads the QS Addon APK, retrieve it from Internal Storage/Android/data/com.teamviewer.host.market/files/Download/TeamViewerQSAddon.apk
Use a file explorer that has root permissions and the ability to change files and folders permissions (I use ES)
3. Create a folder in /system/app/ or /system/priv-app/ named TeamViewerQSAddon with rwx r-x r-x (I used /system/app/).
3.1 To change permissions in ES - long tap --> 3 dots in the lower right corner MORE --> and then Properties (or somth like that Idk 'cause I use russian version) then in the lower part of the Properties window there will be the line: Permissions. Tap Change and mark as follows: Owner: 1,2,3; Group: 1,3; Others: 1,3.
4. Put the APK in that folder and change its permissions to rw- r-- r--
4.1 To change Permission again: long tap, More, Permissions. Tap change permission and mark as follows: Owner: 1,2; Group: 1; Others: 1.
5. Reboot and it must work! Tested on my SM-N900 ha_3g running LineageOS 13.0-20170204-UNOFFICIAL-ha_3g. I guess that Official will do just the same. Good luck pals!

Access all apps from market

I'm not responsible if your phone crashes, bricks, vanishes or display Apple logos, or if you buy apps you can't use because "wrong version".
Also, experimental tweak, don't expect miracles - It is useful for developpers and curious guys ^^
Okay guys, here is a very easy tweak to allow you to display/install (NOT use, most won't work) all apps from Market (your version and all upper), just add the stuff I give below and you're ready to go
What you need : rooted phone, Android (1.6, 2.x.y, 3.x... Stock or not)
File to edit : /system/build.prop
How to edit : Root explorer
How long : 5 minutes (edit, reboot, try)
** Make a backup of your build.prop !!!!!! (Root Explorer will do it automatically) **
1. Root Explorer > Go to /System/ > Long press build.prop and click Open in Text Editor
2. Find the line :
Code:
ro.build.version.sdk=7
Simply edit the value (API Level) according to what you want to display.
Code:
API Level = 7 >> Android 2.1 (Default)
API Level = 8 >> Android 2.2
API Level = 9 >> Android 2.3
API Level = 10 >> Android 2.3.3
API Level = 11 >> Android 3.0
Save and check backup is created, then reboot and try searching apps you usually can't access (ie. for Android 2.1 : Flash Player)
What it will do :
* Display & install apps for your current Android version AND upper versions (ie. if you set API Level to 9, you will see apps for Android 2.1 + 2.2 + 2.3). Dunno if you can display previous versions, but you can try levels 3,4...
* Allow you to get .apk directly from Market (install, then copy apk with Root Explorer)
What it will not do :
* Make the downloaded/installed apps of other versions to work. The apk will come with no icon, service name and will probably crash when you'll try to run it - You can try to patch it with APK Manager. So do not buy apps, you will probably won't be able to use them ! (Check also the version, Market will NOT warn you about the app's API Level)
Hope this will help people to port .apk files from other versions to our old 2.1...
what about device fingerprint?

I haven't tried, but there are also several strings you can edit in the build.prop... Those *should* allow to change fingerprint.

Try using a root explorer and go into your device and change your otacerts.zip to otacerts.bak, this file is found in the device etc security. This tricks the update into thinking you have the latest and it wont update.
Edit:
Here is a step by step guide (please give props to @chzeckmate)
1. First be sure you have superuser access (root access). You can use a root checker like this one to be sure
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ootcheck&hl=en
2. Download and install ES File explorer. You can get that here...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roid.pop&hl=en
3. Open ES File explorer and grant root permission. Go into settings and set your preferences
4. Tap your device menu
5. Tap Tools
6. Tap root explorer.
7. The root explorer menu will pop up and you'll tap Mount R/W
8. Fill in all the bubbles for RW and tap OK
9. Navigate to the root of your device (At the Top you'll see the root directory is listed as "Device" or "/")
10. Tap the File named "etc"
11. Tap the File named "security"
12. Long press on the otacerts.zip until the check box appears and put a check in it.
13. Tap more
14. Tap properties
15. Place check marks in the read and write boxes and Tap ok
16. Tap rename (on the bottom action bar)
17. Rename the otacerts.zip file to otacerts.bak and tap ok
18. Tap refresh (bottom action bar)
19. Pull down the notification curtain and accept the update. *Some devices reboot here. (if the notice isn't in your notification bar just go on to the next step)
20. On your homescreen open your device menu and Tap system settings.
21. Scroll to and select System update.
22. Tap Update firmware.

[HOW TO] Install GNU/Linux on Nook HD+ (CM11 support) No shell commands needed!

Here's a quick/simplified guide to bring Debian Linux (you can choose another distro if you will) to Nook HD+.
It's for those that don't want to get their hands dirty with shell commands to set the thing up.
You have to run CM11 (the later the version the better), you also have to give root permissions wherever asked:
1) Download and Install Meefik's Busybox
a) Install the app
b) Open it
c) Tap install -> OK in the lower right corner2) Update ENV settings on LinuxDeploy:
a) Install LinuxDeploy
b) Open it
c) Go to settings (three-dot icon -> Settings)
d) Tap Update ENV3) Download and place config files
a) Download the Config Files
b) Extract and place the files to your Download folder in your tablet (/sdcard/Download).4) Install LinuxCanvas companion up (it's an app I made to solve some bugs of LinuxDeploy)
a) Download it
b) Install the apk (tap it)
c) Open it and give it root permissions5) Install a Linux image:
a) Open LinuxDeploy
b) Go to properties (icon showing an "arrow down")
c) Use the follow settings (everything else you leave it as is):
To Distribution Suite: Wheezy
To Installation Path: change the "/storage/emulated" part to "/data/media" (everything else stays as is)
To Select Components: Tick X server and untick VNC Server
To Graphics subsystem: choose Framebufer
To GUI Settings: On Freeze Android UI, choose Pause
To Custom Mounts: Tick it
To Mount Points: Delete the extant mount points and add ("plus" sign) the following:
/data/media/0
/mnt/media_rw/sdcard1
d) Tap install on properties' main menu and wait (quite) a bit (until it reads "<<< install")
With the installation finished do as follows to run the thing:
1) Turn Bluetooth on
2) Pair bluetooth devices to Android, so that to control Linux later (typically keyboard and mouse, you only need to do that once)
3) Go to LinuxCanvas and press "Volume up"
4) Voila!
The only way to get back to Android is to reboot. To do that double click the reboot.sh file and press "Execute" (you can find it to /mnt/0/Download, copy it to desktop for easier access).
I'll try to find a better solution, I'm open to suggestions.
Pro Tip: If the elements are too small for you change the DPI from LinuxDeploy -> Properties -> GUI Settings
If you tried the above guide please post feedback (i.e. "where the guide can become better/easier?" and/or "how did Linux work for you?").
Note: The guide is checked to work with CyanogenMod-11 February 2016's nightlies running internally and LinuxDeploy v1.5.6 . Any other versions of either may not work as intended.
Also you need at least 4GB of Internal storage to make it work (of course you can choose a different image size from LinuxDeploy's Properties or opt to use the whole of your external SDcard/partition).
thank you for this post it works great

Phone goes back to huawei eRecovery

Hi there,
First of all, lemme tell what i did.
Phone model : Huawei p9 lite VNS-L31 ( Dual Sim )
I downgraded my p9lite to andriod 6.0
After that, i unlocked the bootloader, unlocked my Phone etc and installed TWRP.
Phone was still working at this point. Installed the magisk root and Phone still worked.
main reason i wanted to root is to spoof at pokemon go ( yeah it sounds silly, but it is ).
In order to make it work i had to do some stuff, heres a copy paste from the website i followed the tutorial from :
* Step 5- Download a GPS Spoofing app of your choice. I prefer GPS Joystick but I have had great success with Fake GPS Floater. HERE is a known working GPS Joystick apk from my phone to use instead of converting the app over.
Download Service Disabler
Download a root file manager. I use root explorer but I believe its a paid only app, give Root Browser a try from HERE.
Download GPS Test app from HERE
Now its time to convert your spoofing app to a system app. If you downloaded my apk open your root explorer and copy/paste the apk to /system/priv-app and select the file and change permissions to 644 (all read selected and owner write selected), skip the rest of these steps below. If you downloaded from the Play store Open up your root explorer and navigate to /data/app and find the gps spoofing app that you installed and select the entire folder and cut it to /system/priv-app. Now go into the folder that you just moved and delete everything but the apk, All odex files and folders must go. Now long press highlight the apk and change permissions of the file to 644 (all read selected and owner write selected). Back out to the folder that the apk is in and do the same but set permissions to 755 (all read, owner write, and all execute).
Next up is Service Disabler, open the app and go to the system tab, search for location, open fusedlocation and disable it (samsung owners need to do the same for Samsungfusedlocation), search again for google and select google play services, navigate down to fusedlocation and disable it.
Next open GPS Test and go to hamburger menu, AGPS and select clear only.
Reboot to recovery and select wipe, advanced, select dalvic cache and cache. swipe to wipe and then reboot. Boot up time will take a few minutes to optimize all apps.
I followed the steps verry carefully.
My Phone starts to huawei logo, it stays on the logo and it goes to the Huawei eRecovery.
any suggestions?
Restart your phone by holding power button (Hold it until it vibrates).
try this 20 times for example , till it boots into system

As far as i noticed, on a huawei p9 lite you can't disable a system module, such the fused location module. I know, I did this mistake by myself time ago for the same purpose as yours and i did'nt find a solution. Another strange thing is that after the wipe data and th magisk reflash (reinstall) the safetynet test won't pass. That's strange..
