I installed CWM-SuperSU-v0.99.zip using adb on my phone and now my phone won't boot back up! It gets stuck on the loading screen.
What did I do wrong? Do I need to boot into recovery?
Thanks. I'm new.
Please explain exactly what you did. I need more info to help.
have you tried force rebooting it(10-20 second power button press)?

I followed this video to root the phone:
I then decided that I wanted to un-root it. So I fastbooted fastboot oem lock, but decided to unlock it again and go back to the original base band. Now with the phone rooted, I restarted it and now it's just stuck on the Google X loading screen. Help please!
Reboot the phone, holding down power and volume down. It should boot you into the bootloader. Then go to recovery and wipe data. Then reboot.
If that doesn't work you'll have to flash the stock recovery and factory reset from there.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You saved me.
Can you tell me now what I have to do to unroot it? Do I lock bootloader then factory reset, or factory reset then lock bootloader? Is the factory reset how you install the stock OS?
Thanks!
Efrant made a great guide how to go back to stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312
After you complete that you then relock the bootloader if you so choose.
My s4 doesn't boot anymore.
I can get into recovery.
I can flash another custom rom but still stuck at booting.
I did read somewhere that i need to wipe data/factory reset, but once i do that my phone just reboots and gets stuck again?
I can't flash a rom/recovery through odin since i can't boot my phone and so odin won't see my phone connected...
Any ideas how to get my s4 working again?

Flash philz recovery using odin and for that to work u need to have your phone in download mode
Unplug Power off then press volume down / home / power button all together till a screen comes there press volume up and connect to odin and flash recovery
Then goto recovery and wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache then reboot
If still stuck at boot flash stock firmware using odin using above method and then wipe cache / reset the reboot
Edit : also be clear abt what u saying I can go to recovery and flash rom it's confusing

A lot of users have complained about the efficacy of that application, it lead to too many bootloops.
But in your scenario you need to do a factory reset by holding "volume up + power button" till you see huawei logo.....you'll lose all data on internal storage including any previously installed, or updated apps.

Volume up + power button, should NOT install you any package at all, it has to go to either custom or stock recovery,I will assume that you're not touching the volume down at the same time while you're doing this right?
Edit:
Updating from to B161 via dload method must have reinstalled the factor recovery, so this is where you can find the factory reset option.
But if you do choose to install a custom recovery, voiding warranty temporarily, you need Meticulus TWRP for marshmallow since it's ur base system, this you can install via fastboot after unlocking it.

Use TWRP to factory reset, if that fails too, get the recovery file from the update package, extract just this file, then install it via TWRP by installing/flashing file(*.img) instead of zip, find this button in TWRP, just tap it to change to file and browse for the recovery.img, then after go to stock recovery by selecting reboot to recovery in TWRP...then try again to factory reset, if that file don't work Or fails, I'll send you my VNS-L31 MM Stock recovery for B161, of this is your device too, then you'll lemme know.

So I successfully unlocked bootloader and installed back TWRP however i can't make fully factory reset as TWRP fail to mount /data when i do factory reset (and i can't even mount my data through MTP on TWRP). Should i tried to flash another package like full b150 through dload or i absolutely need to try factory reset on stock recovery ?

To mount data go to swipe, advanced swipe, select data partition only, then change filesystem, then select f2fs, then repeat this but NOW selecting ext4, then flash what you need to , to the data partition, if this is leads to boot loop after, then reinstall stock recovery then factory reset, then you'll b good

Hi all,
I have try to go back to stock by follow this procedure.
- Coming from Official LineageOS
- Wipe cache, dalvik, data via TWRP
- flash bootstack and stock system from here
- restart system and everything work fine except I have an unlocked bootloader
- so I try to lock bootloader by using Axon7Toolkit from this thread
- The phone was restart but unable to boot to android coz it stuck with "Enter passcode" page and I have try any password include "default_password" but still fail
- I try to enter passcode several times till it guide me to factory reset instead to wipe all user data
- but when it try to factory reset, it stuck with a black screen when loading to recovery mode
Luckily, the phone still could enter to Factory Test Mode when I press Volume down + power button and could get on ADB
Anyone have any suggestion, please help... :crying::crying:
PS. I'm on G model

No, and I though it was reset to stock recovery because I did not flash SuperSU following step 7 in this thread
Finally solve !!
I've followed this thread again by re-flashing TWRP then do a factory reset and now it's on the way setting up !!
Thanks all

Okay, glad you got it sorted
Okay, so time for the ultimate idiocy.
I think I may have perma-bricked my brand new phone.
Yes, I had backups, but in a state of panic I wiped those on accident like the biggest dumbass alive.
My steps were as follows.
1. unlocked the bootloader
2. downgraded to 10p
3. installed twrp first into download and then into recovery
4. rooted via flashing supersu first
5. remembered this phone had nfc and decided android pay was rad and I didnt want it blocked
6. looked into magisk
7. unrooted supersu (full unroot including stock boot img), rooted magisk
8. everything was absolutely fine until an application (official twrp app thing) requested root access
9. phone crashed completely, stuck on LG splash screen
at this point I could still access twrp via download mode, but not recovery (the button combo didnt work.)
10. wiped dalvik and cache, nothing
11. full wipe, nothing
12. tried installing a couple different ROMs, still stuck on LG splash
I think here's where I ****ed up the worst. in my attempt to get back to stock I reflashed the laf thing so I could flash a kdz via LGUP.
Uppercut no longer found my device, though, so that eliminated that as an option. Biggest problem is download mode was my ONLY way into TWRP. So now I can't access recovery, download mode doesn't work, and I can't boot so I can get into adb.
Oh and not even the charging screen comes up, by the way.
Is it even possible to save this damned paperweight now?? :crying::crying::crying:

Tried, using @runningnak3d 's lafsploit method, said it succeeded, but when I tried to boot into recovery its still on the normal "firmware update" download mode.

Tried several times, this time I'm attempting reflashing but using a different USB port to see what happens.
Edit: Did not work. I feel as though download mode might be broken? And LGUP doesn't recognize my device either.

A number of ways..
1. Vol Down + Power til LG Logo, let go, press again
2. Vol Down + Power til LG Logo, let go
3. Vol Down + Power til the "bricked point" (LG Logo dims slightly like it does before moving to next screen, but stays on splash)

I finally got it to work (I think), but it seems it didn't truly flash twrp like I had tried to do, I'm at "factory data reset" should I try this anyways?
(I had tried flashing twrp to recovery via the download-accessed version of twrp. I didn't know how else to do it that would respond - using anything adb/fastboot didn't pick up my device.)

Didn't work, ended up timing out. However, I did find a small ray of hope. After erasing via factory reset, I discovered that LGUP no longer said there was no handset connected. It did give me the following errors, though.
1. When using a modded version of LGUP: Could not load the model
2. When using uppercut: DLL for H91810p is invalid
3. When using regular LGUP: No handset.
BUT. I managed to get into it anyways by removing the modded version and then trying Uppercut... and now I'm gonna flash that ****in' kdz… fingers crossed..
