I am planning to purchase sandisk pro UHS class 32 gb sd card but I dont know whether s4 is UHS host or non UHS host.
Thanks
It will most probably recognize the sd card, but I don't know if it will read/write at the maximum speed available.
Kingston 32 GB UHS-I U3 90R/80W (SDCA3/32GB) works without any problem on my S4

I want to use a 8GB microsd SDHC card but the card is not recognised. If I insert a 2GB microsd card it is working. What can I do to use the a 8GB SDHC card?
Thank you in advance 4 help.
i can't understand why your card don't work. I have a 8GB SDHC too. ANd this work perfectly for me.
I tried a Kingston and a Sandisk micro sdhc card - both cards are not working within the HTC Touch 3G.
Both cards are formatted to FAT32. The 2GB card which is working is no sdhc and is formatted to FAT.
ruclip: Which card are you using and what format?
Thank you.
I have this Sandisk and its work. Fat32
I have a Kingston 8Go SDHC and it works perfect.
Take a Hard-Reset. It could help you
Check what class of Micro SDHC you have on hand.
I think high speed SDHC might not work
Mine is SDHC 4 GB class 2, work very well.
I try both of them... they are working
16GB SanDisk microSDHC Card
8192MB SanDisk microSDHC Ultra
almost the same problem :
4GB kingston works
8GB sandisk don't work (both cards class 4)
i can't understand: if i try the 8GB card while the phone is on it works!
if i switch on the phone the 8 GB card won't recognized
I have SanDisk 8GB SDHC class 4
it work perfect
My 8GB Sandisk is working fine, just using the default formatting the card came with, whatever that is.
next try
8GB Kingston class4 .... it works
now i can sell a cheap sandisk 8GB
I have Kingston 8Gb HCmc ... it works, but some time HTC 3G not see this card...if restart work agein
I have SanDisk 8GB SDHC class 2
and it work perfect also
I have two cards: 8MB SanDisk SDHC class 2, and 4MB SanDisk SDHC Ultra class 6. The 4MB version works perfectly, while the 8MB version doesn't work at all. So I'd suggest to try another card...
I have a Sandisk 16 Gb SDHC card and work without problems. Lots of space to play...
I have a SanDisk 4GB Mobile Ultra MicroSDHC SD2.0 Class 6 and works perfect on FAT32
What is highest class suppor ?
Unfortunately i'm feeling the same luck of some of you guys... I bought one 8Gb class 4 Dane-Elec micro sd card, and i just couldn't get it recognized by my htc, so i returned it to the shop and got one Sandisk Class 2. When i got home, i plugged it in my htc, and it recognized it, but after i plugged the htc to the pc and transferred some stuff to the card, the htc never recognized it anymore. I'm felling a little unlucky... I think this could derive from the rom version... Mine is 1.40.410.2 (21259). Could you post your rom's info please? Specially the guys that got the 8gb cards running with no problem.
Thanks

8g kingston micro-sdhc class 4, working perfectly. rom version 1.40.723.2 (21259).
by the way, is your 'micro' sd card comes with sd card adapter? maybe u can test with card reader to confirm whether it is your card problem or your jade got problem!
What is the largest capacity SDHC card that this phone can accommodate? Has anyone tried 16 GB or 32 GB cards yet?
biggest card I'm using up to now is an 8GB card from sandisk.
16 Gb from SANDISK works perfectly...
16G Kingstone works perfectly as well.
That's good news.
Brought a 8G Kingston the other day.Installed it into the device but cannot detect it.Put in a 4g and it was able to detect the 4g card.Call up the HTC support and was told that only scandisk brand of memory card can be used.

Good thing my 8 gig happens to be Sandisk.
I'm using 16gb scandisk, working fine.
As far as I know, SD 2.0 (SDHC) is fully supported by the jade, i. e. cards up to 32gb.
Unfortunately the highest available capacity for micro SD is 16 right now :>

I think I saw a 32gb one at Amazon or Newegg ............... prohibitively expensive though.
What is the highest Class supported? Class 6 or higher?
i use 8gb Kingston (micro-SDHC, Class 4). works fine with my jade.
Hi,
I'm considering to upgrade my SD card to a newer one and need some help please.
These are my candidates, price is almost the same:
KINGSTON microSDHC Card, Class 4, 32GB (SDC4/32GB)
KINGSTON microSDHC Card, Class 10, 16GB (SDC10/16GB-2ADP)
I think Class 10 speed will never be used by my phone. Class 4 is enough. Is this correct?
Also interesting if anyone tried a 32 GB microSDHC in Hero? Does it work?
Thanks
I gave Hero GSM with CM6.1

SanDisk 16GB fastest microSD
95MB/s read - 90 MB/s write
SanDisk 64GB very fast microSD
80MB/s read - 50 MB/s write
SanDisk 128GB regular microSD
30MB/s read - less than 30 MB/s write
Samsung 64GB very fast microSD
70MB/s read - 20 MB/s write
These are advertised speeds, I don't know about reliability and actual speeds. Somehow I'm more inclined buying the Samsung one, somehow it makes me feel it's more compatible. Just my opinion.

I agree, I feel more comfortable buying a Samsung for the compatibility feeling.
I just recently purchased the 64GB Sammy that you listed for my S5.

Does the S5 allow you to move apps to SD card like my current S4?

There are numerous people on here, and on other forums, that also has had issues with the Samsung cards. SD cards are a hit and miss these days.
I personally went for the latest Samsung pro 64GB one that was released today on Amazon. Hoping it can last for a long time, but we'll see.
Hi all,
I just wanna know, is the spice mi-498 supports micro SDHC cards? because i am thinking to buy one 16GB card for my mobile.
Any ideas? I browsed a lot, can't find the solid and trusted solution.
Thanks,
KK
You have to purchase microSDHC card. I have 16gb Samsung microsdhc card class 10 evo which works flawlessly.
