OK Now I also have something to tell about this
Last night I experimented On my Phone-
My phone was on stand by/Not used for 6-7 Hours on 1% battery
After this when I checked the battery, it was still at 1%-This meant that standby battery was ok
Also I looked into for a solution and found that U should try to calibrate ur battery-Discharge it till 0% then offline charge ur phone till 100% - so battery is calibrated - but still its a long experiment
U can tryy th is too
If it worked Plz Inform
use amplify battery extender if you want real battery backup
and limit the wakelocks and alarm
i can browse till 8 hours screen on time i have limited most of the wakelocks and my device still running fine without any lag or missing any importent notification or else
you can try and see the results u need pro version in order to have full use of this app
hit thanks

I installed Batery Callibration in my Galaxy Note .. Love this app...... Increase so much my life battery
One question: How often I Calibrate My Battery??
1. After flash or update ROM.
2. When replace or pull out & put in battery for whatever reasons.
3. I do calibration about once a week.
I always drain battery till it is 1% before plug in charger after hit the calibration button.
Battery time is acceptable to me...15+ hrs with normal use (stock ICS rooted).
Thank you very much for the tips. I Have Rocket Room V07 and Speedmod kernel 3.3. With 3g and Wifi turn on all day, my battery last 24 hs.....Very good for me
which battery calibration app?

A question for both of you and anyone else who's using such a tool: which battery calibration app do you use? Any views on how good (or not) these apps are?
Cheers

Never. That app does NOTHING. You have fallen victim to the placebo effect.
Wiping battery stats does NOTHING on any Android device other than change the behavior of Settings->Battery. It does nothing with regards to fuel gauge calibration.
The fuel gauge chipset in our device does not require calibration and calibration techniques cannot be applied to it. (With one exception - resetting it after a reboot on low battery can have a temporary positive effect - but you can just wait a few hours for it to converge.)

As stated above - they are 100% useless and worthless on our device and any other Samsung Galaxy S1/S2 family device.
To enthropy512, thank you very much for your hardwork for us here in xda. How about a tread that says, after a battery full, you take out the battery for 3 mins then put it back again.

Battery Calibration, try following the procedure stated therein and verify by yourself if it works.
At least you have nothing to lose but very poor battery performance.
You guys should have ever heard of an alternative battery product named MUGEN that selling original and extra sized batteries world wide including range of Galaxy batteries. They also supply a battery calibration app on Play Store regardless phone models but it's for rooted phone only. If this app does nothing they wouldn't bother wasting their time developing it.
Another thing is to investigate what apps or services prevent your phone from going into deep sleep, also try freezing apps or services you aren't using.
Those are my tricks for having battery performance improved.

Hi can i have the link for the calibration app ???
Search battery calibration on google play...its free
Your phone had to be root to use battery calibration
i dont trust any battery callibration app or battery power saving app
i only used cpu spy and betterbatterystats
my point is check ur device, does it goes to deepsleep everytime screen turned off. if it doesnt check using bbs what apps making ur device turned on/wake ur device. im very satisfied with this method. 1x full charge for 24 hr for my daily use and only 24 % battery drained for 24 hr if u didnt use ur device at all(standby)

I even tried odexing the rom cause i i've read it gives you more battery and internal storage and it does give me a little bit more battery life.. but it's still not like the stock ones.. it still drains a bit faster? why is that??

The draining nature of the battery depends on the rom and the kernel on how it optimises the usage of battery.
There are lots of tips to save battery. Google it.
You can use battery tweaks to get more performance in less consumption.
As there is no Ambient Light Sensor on Samsung Galaxy Y, I suggest you to adjust brightness often to save some life on the battery.
What I am hearing from you is new. I never heard that odexing a rom will increase battery life. I think you misunderstood it. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
You can follow a trick that is opted by me:
Charge your phone completely without disturbing.
Then use it until the battery reached 5% or nearby.
Then charge it again completely without disturbing.
This type of charging will help you get more battery life.
Press thanks if I have helped.

I agree. The key to save battery depends both on charging and the use you make of your phone. Battery saving tips are:
1. Disable animations.
2. Select a simple PNG, JPEG or BMP picture for home screen wallpaper, instead of a live wallpaper.
3. Adjust your brightness where you want to.
4. Use a launcher which doesn't consume a lot of RAM.
You can Google to learn more methods.
I hope I was helpful, if I was, you know what to do.

You can check this thread on XDA. Features every possible way of battery saving. Featured on XDA Portal few days ago.
I agree with the_pirate_predator
that charging should be done 100% without disturbance and again put on charger when battery is approximately 5-10%. It is also suggested for other batteries like vehicle, UPS batteries etc.

Hi guys welcome to this thread and today I will tell you ways on how to get more battery life out of your device/1. don't constantly use you're device as this can lead to battery problems. Med-High use at max //2.If you're using a custom rom it can overheat the device so be warned, this can also lead to more battery problems, for example cyanogenmod. But the problems are fixed on that rom I believe/ /If you do these two things then you should be ok, good luck guys and try not to brick you're devices if you downgrade from lollipopto Kitkat/Hope this has helped and click the thanks button is this thread has helped you if you have had any issues on you're Moto E device. This is your battery saving tip!!!
Ohh man we never knew that.
Great observation.
infinite battery life
Try using the infinate battery life script, if you are rooted. This can help increase the battery life by far. Hope this helps.
If you want more battery, root you're device and install a battery life script. If anyone wants to link I can give it to them. If this does not help and you done to root the device install a external battery life booster from the play store. Hope this helps if not pm me or reply. Good luck, if your device does not last at least a full day without charging turn down the brightness settings on the device as this will improve battery life. Another way would be to close any unwanted apps and 3g/wifi as this can drain battery usage. Hope this helps?
@ANDROmodderHD, I have just one "noobish" question: Why are you spamming? :'3
You are just asking us to just keep the phone on standby, turn off everything, even the apps we are using even those we need to be kept running and even turn off the internet, pull down the brightness to zero so that we can't see anything out under the sun. Then what do we do with the phone? Throw it away into the storeroom or sell it?
You could sell it if you like. I know where you are coming from but if you just turned up the brightness when you are using it then you can turn it down when you are not. This could help.

Don't you think the phone will be on standby with the display *off* when I am not using it? How will the brightness level matter then?
PS. You are damn interesting
I found out the battery lasts more then 24 hours when on a low to medium brightness setting. Even when you are not using it. Why don't you take a test to see if the battery would last more longer if it was on a higher or lower brightness setting when you are not using the phone. My battery life can last more than a day. So see for yourself.

I can't imagine how battery brightness can affect battery life when screen is off, I mean, no matter if you have brightness at maximum because screen is off.

C'mon man. We don't need to test because we know the phone is not stupid. What you are experiencing is called a "placebo" effect dude. Use your brains and don't act so noobish, no offense but this is getting irritating. I too made the battery last for 2 and half days when I did not use the phone at all because I was damn sick.
For improving battery life, try keeping the CPU clock to lowest (300MHz) when the phone is on standby. By default, the minimum freq. on LP is set to 787MHz unlike that of on KK which is 300Mhz. Just revert it back to 300MHz as min and set the governor to interactive. Or, ever heard of "deep sleep?" That's the best battery saving technique.

Stupidity ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ
Btw guys u can use GREENIFY app for saving battery and also xposed modules like Boot Manager.
Or flash a custom kernel which can sometimes make the battery last longer. This depends if you are already running cm or any other Rom with a custom kernel.
O.O
.... *slowly walks away*
Is this thread still going on??
Yes, if you want it to be on. Anyways this might be slightly of topic but is anyone running a custom rom. I know this may be off topic but has anyone got LP working on their device? Hope the update is good, what does everyone think about LP? Do you like it more than kitkat?
Is battery life is good according to this ?I am liitle bit of confused that if it is the time for replacing battery or not.
I was 20 min on 2g and rest is on 3g without turning off data for a moment. I was playing and browsing and downloading (2 or 3 little things ) most of the time.
I know ..the graph is showing little good (not best) statistics. But when observing the battery consumption from indicator ,I am horrified. Some time 2% reducing within 2 min.
Is screen on time is really a good measurement for battery?
It's good, no need to change, redmi 2 can make a max of 3hrs and 30minutes of continue use
