So I've compiled a bunch of wallpapers on my Google Drive that support both desktop and mobile because I like to match wallpapers across devices and they are all made using the same computer and all put out in the same format, PNG.
So I loaded up Google Drive on my Grand Prime and downloaded the images but to my unfortunate surprise when I tried to view them in gallery they wouldn't show. Digging into the file manager I saw they were there but I simply couldn't view them and since I couldn't view them I could not change my wallpaper, of course.
Please help! I really don't wanna change over 1000 images to JPG just so I can view them on my phone and change my wallpaper. Could it be something with downloading it from Google Drive? Any suggestions?

Is it possible to alter the thumbnails of the videos on the Tab?
my 3 year old uses it a lot (so obviously he can't read) and I have quite a few videos on there, I would like to alter the thumbnails to another part of the video like I do with the ones for his iPod (I'm trying to ween him of the iPod and onto the Tab, he already uses my Desire more than the iPod)
can anyone help with this?
for example he has 9 videos on there that are spin-offs to the Disney film "Cars" and they all start the same so the thumbnails for them all are the same and there's no filename their either (he can recognise numbers but there's nothing for him to see)
Any help with where the thumbnails are stored and how I can change them?
thanks
I have my each video stored in a folder with a thumbnail image of the movie poster. When I go to my gallery it shows the thumbnails

What do you name the thumbnails?
Does it show them in the "video" app?
I have many different pictures that I would like to view on my Droid X similar to how they would be viewed in thumbnail view in Windows. For example, on my droid I have the following folders on my SD card.
\2011
\2011\Birthday Pictures
\2011\Football Games
\2010
\2010\Christmas
\2010\Vacation Photos
\2009
You get the idea. I would like to view these folders as albums, but in order of hierarchy. If I open "2011" I would see any photos in that folder, but then could select "Football Games" and then view those as thumbnails. So far every android app I have used takes all of my folders, turns each one into an album, and throws them all together on the same page, which is cumbersome if you have a lot of pictures organized into many folders.
Any suggestions?
Are you just wanting to view them as thumbnails, or in a fancier format?
If you just want to quickly scroll through thumbnails, just use your file manager app, whether it be root explorer, stock file manager, or one of the many others available in the market
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Yeah, I tried that and it wasn't very good (using Astro). I was hoping for something a little fancier, but no more features than say QuickPic offers.
Maybe im missing something, but why cant I view pics Ive downloaded from the browser in a gallery way, meaning flipping through each photo within the same folder?
I can view each pic individually but not scroll through them all.
Thanks.

I'm using QuickPic and it is one of the best image viewers out there. But there is a problem when it comes to browse the photos by directory structure. QuickPic just displays any folder that has images in it (well of course some can be hidden/excluded), but they all appear on the same level, both parent folders and child folders. Is there any good image viewer that actually lets me browse the directories like a file manager? And I need to be able to view images in thumbnail mode (small or big, size of the thumbnails doesn't matter). Thanks in advance.
if i remember correctly, the miui gallery allows you to view by directory:

I just copied over my Camera directory from my Galaxy Nexus to my new N4, but when I view the Gallery on the N4, the thumbnails are grouped with all videos first, then images after. Newly taken images show up before the videos in the first slots as normal. I also tried to empty the Gallery cache and rebooted, but they are still grouped this way.
Is this just how the N4 Gallery works now? Kind of annoying to have to scroll through all of my videos to see my older pictures. Everything should just be chronological like it was on the Galaxy Nexus. My view is set to the default grid view if that matters.
Anyone else seeing this issue?
ok, I think I figured it out. For some reason I am unable to connect my GNex to my Mac using the Android File Transfer app, so I used Airdroid instead to zip the /Camera directory and download it to my Mac instead. I think Airdroid changed the timestamp on the files in doing so, and since the videos took longer to compress/download, they got stamped with the most recent timestamp.
I think the custom ROM (Liquid 412 rc7) is preventing me from connecting to my Mac normally. Looks like I have some digging to do!
Hmm, I connected to my Windows laptop and was able to copy the /Camera from the GNex fine, then back to my N4 /Camera, rebuilt the cache and still have the videos all displayed first!
Anyone else have this problem? Or know of a way to get the Gallery to list the thumbnails of images and videos based on creation date?
TIA.
