Maybe im missing something, but why cant I view pics Ive downloaded from the browser in a gallery way, meaning flipping through each photo within the same folder?
I can view each pic individually but not scroll through them all.
Thanks.

Hello!
Does someone know how to manage pictures in the photo album, like rearrange pictures into folders?
I try to put folder in the My images folder, hoping they would appear into the photo album, but it won't. I would like to show someone, for exemple, only a couple of pictures, using this fabulous photo album finger friendly, but all my pictures appears...
Advices appreciate

Yep Same here.. moved all my pictures all in nice subfolders to the My Images folder.. but indeed.. the all appear without any folder structure.
Starting up takes a while now and finding the pictures is very hard.
Too bad.. i'm moving back to the old picture viewer.
Beeing possible to navigate through subfolders would be very helpfull.
Anyone know a 'hack' for this?
i'd like a hack for this as well, i synced my picture collection of over 300 images to my touch dual and i have to scan through all 300. would be nice to see folders
same prob here. i had to use tcpmp finally. what a pity for not able to use the touchflo features.
HTC photo album can only read from MyPictures folder in device and
DCIM folder in the storage (using digital camera format)
Thats not so I use it to view pictures from MY PICTURES on my SD card as I use the MY PICTURES on the phone for something else. May I offer a suggestion to the people wanting to use folders, why not just keep the individual folders outside of MY PICTURES till you want to look at it and than import that particular folder? That way theres nothing else but the pictures you want to show............HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
@sneakyp86
what do you mean by "import that particular folder"? a feature of HTCAlbum or just file movement? thanks
start --> programs --> pictures and videos
it's the only way i know if i wanna show some pictures inside a folder, sadly we cant configure it in touch cube
I have many different pictures that I would like to view on my Droid X similar to how they would be viewed in thumbnail view in Windows. For example, on my droid I have the following folders on my SD card.
\2011
\2011\Birthday Pictures
\2011\Football Games
\2010
\2010\Christmas
\2010\Vacation Photos
\2009
You get the idea. I would like to view these folders as albums, but in order of hierarchy. If I open "2011" I would see any photos in that folder, but then could select "Football Games" and then view those as thumbnails. So far every android app I have used takes all of my folders, turns each one into an album, and throws them all together on the same page, which is cumbersome if you have a lot of pictures organized into many folders.
Any suggestions?
Are you just wanting to view them as thumbnails, or in a fancier format?
If you just want to quickly scroll through thumbnails, just use your file manager app, whether it be root explorer, stock file manager, or one of the many others available in the market
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Yeah, I tried that and it wasn't very good (using Astro). I was hoping for something a little fancier, but no more features than say QuickPic offers.
I just copied over my Camera directory from my Galaxy Nexus to my new N4, but when I view the Gallery on the N4, the thumbnails are grouped with all videos first, then images after. Newly taken images show up before the videos in the first slots as normal. I also tried to empty the Gallery cache and rebooted, but they are still grouped this way.
Is this just how the N4 Gallery works now? Kind of annoying to have to scroll through all of my videos to see my older pictures. Everything should just be chronological like it was on the Galaxy Nexus. My view is set to the default grid view if that matters.
Anyone else seeing this issue?
ok, I think I figured it out. For some reason I am unable to connect my GNex to my Mac using the Android File Transfer app, so I used Airdroid instead to zip the /Camera directory and download it to my Mac instead. I think Airdroid changed the timestamp on the files in doing so, and since the videos took longer to compress/download, they got stamped with the most recent timestamp.
I think the custom ROM (Liquid 412 rc7) is preventing me from connecting to my Mac normally. Looks like I have some digging to do!
Hmm, I connected to my Windows laptop and was able to copy the /Camera from the GNex fine, then back to my N4 /Camera, rebuilt the cache and still have the videos all displayed first!
Anyone else have this problem? Or know of a way to get the Gallery to list the thumbnails of images and videos based on creation date?
TIA.
I've seen other threads on this but no fix for it yet. When I open my camera, and then click on the gallery preview it shows me every single picture on my device, not just pictures I've taken. I don't really want to show people game screenshots or porn I downloaded when I'm trying to show them a picture of my dog. Is there any fix for this other than adding .nomedia to every folder, which also disables me sharing pictures in other apps?

Sorry about that but you can try any AppLocker for your Gallery app.
Try search: AppLocker on Google Play Store.
Regards.
You can download every pic of porn in the secure folder, if you like take candids for example, the photos you take in secure folder go directly to your secure gallery, the pictures you downloaded go directly to your secure gallery etc... I hope you understand me because i'm spanish speaker.
I would like to know if there is any perfect gallery app in which the portrait photos don't come up as separate albums instead of it shows in gallery. I am using GCam and found the issues with all gallery apps I had used but I found the OnePlus Gallery show exactly what I want but unfortunately directly installing apk from Oneplus didn't worked. Anyone having any solution or working gallery which shows both portrait and original photo inside Camera folder instead of different folder?
I had created this thread because I found so many people using Gcam but no one had asked about this kind of Gallery app.
Will be very thankful if anyone have gallery like this.
