i have a slightly different issue than most folks and the googles are failing me.
fastboot recognizes my device, gives me confirmation of flash, but the device itself is not registering the commands and is stuck on "Connect USB Data Cable". i don't have my OEM cable and am using the iOrange-E C-A cable. i've tried different USB ports, restarting, etc.
fastboot says that the flash is successful, but the device never takes.
ugh. nevermind. i don't know what's different, but suddenly it's working. i've tried flashing this recovery file 5 different times and it never sticked. now it's working. /thread.

So I actually did multiple searches before I decided to post, and although I've seen similar issues posted none of the resolotions have seemed to work. I flashed a theme on top of a custom rom i had previously flashed which sent me into a boot loop. I cant boot into CWM using the bootloader. Ive seen people suggest that I try to plug a USB cord into the computer before I select recovery mode, but my Nexus freezes in the bootloader once I plug a USB in my PC and the volume keys won't let me select anything. I've tried using multiple USB cords, etc and can't seem to figure it out. I can't get into fastboot because my device isn't responding in the bootloader. Am I completely bricked? Can anyone help? I'm super frustrated at this point.
I need some help guys.
My Nexus 7 all of a sudden stopped sending data through usb OTG and i tried to erase cache through TRWP but ended up deleting the OS. Now I am stuck with a device with no OS. I cannot mount the USB for my computer to recognise it so that I can restore it. I tried ADB sideload but it doesnt load and gets stuck on starting...
If I click on Mount, I cannot click on the USB-OTG box. My computer does have the correct drivers for the USB as it used to work on it before but since the OTG stopped responding to data I am now stuck and cannot push a restore image to the device.
Any help would really be appreciated.
Many thanks.
I've tried almost everything I can think off. I tried different OTG cables, different computers. None of the computers even detect a device as plugged in. Whether I boot into bootloader or recovery I just cannot get the PC to even acknowledge the fact that something is plugged in. As a result I am just not able to flash it at all. I tried NRT with the soft-brick option but that fails too because it says no adb connectivity.
any help please?
Hey guys i'm trying to unlock bootloader and flash the latest version but my devices is not recognised in fastboot. I do have the Android Bootloader Interface show up in drivers but when I use the command /adb devices, nothing show up in the list. In fastboot I have "Connect USB Data Cable" text but no matter how many times I had it replug or switch USB, the same error. I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with the cable because I can use it in normal mode.
The other day I was trying to flash my 6p back to stock so I can sell it, and I was flashing everything through cmd, until all of a sudden cmd stopped working towards the end for some reason. Now my phone only boots into fastboot mode and is NOT being detected by my pc. When it's plugged in, the fastboot menu says to connect the data cable. I've tried restarting my computer and reinstalling the drivers, but nothing seems to work. When I go into cmd and type adb devices, nothing shows up when it's plugged in, and device manager doesn't show any changes whether it's plugged in or not.
I've called local cellphone repair shops, but apparently if it's not Samsung or iPhone they can't help
Btw I've searched the forums and haven't found a solution to this problem.

Can you enter recovery?
No I can't enter recovery
Almost a month ago, my phone ran out of battery so I charged it. When I got back, there was a warning sign and below it said: "the system has been destroyed"
I tried everything I could to flash it, included the official Xiaomi flash tool, but the problem isn't the method itself, but the phone, which it's not being recognized by my pc at all.
When I connect it (In fastboot mode), a notification shows up saying: "The USB device is not recognized", I tried commands, updating the drives, cleaning up the USB port, another USB cable, but nothing worked.
Does anyone know any possible solution for this? Thanks in advance : D
faulty usb cable may be the reason and try edl mode

I have already tried with other cables (and all of them are working for everything except this, so it's the device's fault), and edl mode can only be activated with a computer, so i guess i'll keep trying
Drivers must have been installed multiple times.Delete them and reinstall.
Cheers.
Same problem bro
Hi!
There is a way to enable EDL mode without computer but you'll have to open your phone.
Once opened, you must short two specific test points while connecting USB.
That's how I got out of a bootloop with a locked bootloader.
For the procedure just search for "edl test point mi a1", there are many videos.
