My sea variant finally got an ota update to MM (20C) this evening.
Tempting... Except for the part about losing root
How did you root it? I am on build v20b, and i haven't gotten the update yet either.

Actually - I'm still on LP with 10f. I checked LG Bridge several times and have never seen an update, and this is the first time I've seen it on OTA. Just thought I'd mention the fact that the OTA update is out there now for those that haven't noticed yet.

You can't root MM on the G4 unless you have an unlocked bootloader.
I didn't get 20c Ota but I got it when I used lg bridge
I don't know what is the problem with LGBridge, but the speed is low as hell. I have a 20 mbps internet speed connection and it has been downloading for more than 2 hours.
Always the same with every update.

Hey, I rooted my Lg g2, and I see that there is an update for srpint G2's to get to kitkat, however I am on jellybean. I am not seeing an update for kitkat, and when I manually check it says I am up to date? is this because I rooted, or?

No it isn't because you have root. I wouldn't accept the OTA though. There isn't a native root process for KitKat as of yet. We just have the sneaky pants ninja workaround at the moment bc of the new KitKat security shenanigans. OTAs are sometimes pushed out in waves. When the AT&T OTA pushed I didn't get it until 2 days after it was initially pushed. I'd just keep checking. If you get the "Device is up to date. You can check again in 24 hrs" message you can get around that by going into date and time and manually changing your date to tomorrow and it lets you check again right away.
Also you might want to edit your post title. Spring G2
EDIT: Actually I just found out ioroot25 roots KitKat without the downgrade workaround. Yay XDA devs!!!

you can always try either a)contacting your company and asking them to push the ota or b)depending on which device you have there are roms/kdz/tots to flash kk if you don't want to wait http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705259
Hey guys, i''ve received 50MB V10e OTA.
probably one before the V20 Marshmallow
Got It As well
Just searched for the update as soon as I saw this post, which is now. So downloading now. I'm curious to what has been changed.
Mmm. Most disappointing when waiting patiently for the official Marshmallow update for my TWN device.
Doesn't suggest that we will be receiving it any time soon.
Received as well for SEA variant
Anybody on the TWN version found a rooted image for v10E? Right now I've got a rooted V10D on mine and OTA doesn't install. Any suggestions?

You have to remove root via SuperSU settings, then install the update using LG Bridge.
Once I get the update on mine (hopefully today) I'll root the image and upload for others to use.
EDIT: Got the update - I'll root the image and upload it. Will post a link here when it's done.
Here's the pre-rooted 10E system image. Flash as normal

Noticed any clear improvements in V10E??
Might be placebo but I have less stutter...noticeably less. Seems most apparent when typing with Google keyboard.
The marshmallow update has been released today. Via LG Bridge you can download it right now!

Nice but without a way to root MM yet (for locked bootloader) I can't see me using it yet.

As far as I can tell now, it is pretty cool. I had to wipe all data anyway, because I had my phone rooted before, but the new permissionmanagement is really nice. The new battery-saving function which shuts down apps automatically is a bit confusing.
I have this but no idea what's different

That's not for the TWN device, which is what this thread is for.
Apologies..please delete
Just received a TWN G4 with 10b installed. Any reason not to use this to gain root?

I would update with OTA up to 10E first, then root.
V20e being pushed by Telus/Koodo which is OS update to 6.0. Size is 927mb.
Edit based on recommendation: you will lose root access with updating to marshmallow
Edit 2: LG description of updates http://dyk.lgmobile.com/dyk/osupgrade/mosu.dev
Missing some important information here. Might want to mention the loss of root access and the need for LG Bridge to update, since it is not available via OTA right now to my knowledge. That could change within the day or so, however.
Downloading now through OTA, no need for LG Bridge.
Edited the OP to reflect the lost of root access.

Just checked on two G4's I have kicken around and no OTA yet so if some want MM right now, they will need LG Bridge.

Yes, updates through OTA are usually rolled out by s/n so the servers are not overloaded.
I manually checked on mine and it was there.
Update: Yeah never mind, it's just a minor software change from VS98039A to VS9803AA
I'm getting forced to update via OTA. Currently running 5.0.2. Scouring the net, I don't see any mention of a new OTA.
Anyone else getting an update?
Likely just a security update. How big is the OTA?
Backup and update

Well if your device is rotted then you are gonna stuck in bootloop .
Here is the article from Android Police.
https://goo.gl/Cr4dOM
AT&T has finally started rolling out the long-awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update to its variant of the LG G5.
LG G5 US AT&T here. Did the OTA update about 28 hrs ago now, and it went very smoothly. So far, I'm super pleased with the update. My phone feels faster and smoother all around, and while it's too early to tell for certain, it seems initially like battery life is noticeably improved.

The OTA file gets deleted after the update is installed. Hopefully someone will back it up before they install the update.

I don't think its possible to back it up without root. Its stored in the system and we can't access it
