I´m having problems enabling the WIFI after 4 days using the CM13.... it is very strange.
What I have tryed,
-Fly mode on - off
-Flashing the Radio
-Wiping cache with TWRP
-Factory reset
Still not working. Now after a factory reset it is still haning up on the CM13 Configuration Wizard/Assistant, when you select select a WLAN....
Here some screenshots
Does the wifi work properly on stock LP? If not, it could be a hardware issue.

sorry but what do you mean with stock LP?
I mean stock Lollipop (5.1.1) for Nexus 4.
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
Maybe problem is with Kernel.

Hello guys, after I flashed a custom rom my phone went into a bootloop. I decided to flash stock , via odin. After I flashed the stock rom for my region (open european) I got many FC messages , the phone was unusable.
I started digging and flashing roms. Now I have i9505xxugng8 which is a nordic country rom.
When I try to open wifi , the button gets green for one second but then it stays deactivated.
1. Tried to remove battery
2.Tried to delete the wpa_supplicant.conf file from /data/misc/wifi or /system/etc/wifi
3.Tried the non-hos bin.
Nothing worked. I'm desperate.

Try this steps
1. Rooted ! Open root explorer > System > Build.prop change this in the build.prop:
ro.securestorage.support=true TO ro.securestorage.support=false Save , Reboot
2. Either flash a diff kernel.
Have a nice day.
Hello repulsa, i Tried your method but it didn't work
It may be a hardware problem? But I've never dropped it
Tried hard reset?

Yes I tried.
Problem solved , I flshed a cm11 based rom with a custom kernel and everything works

I think you should fully wipe in the custom recovery before flashing the stock rom with Odin.

i might try this however.. im having trouble with the bluetooth and not on the wifi toggle/module. are you using the M9 build or the nightlies?
The Wi-Fi problem is knox related , I don t think switching go cm11 would solve the Bluetooth problem.
Now I'm using the latest version of miui and works well.

I also have this problem. Went from CM11 to stock (GF was supposed to use the phone and preferred stock...).
And now, no wifi, tried most things, checked build.prop, deleted wpa_supplicant, pulled battery, cleared cache.
Nothing works.
I'd be ok with going back to CM11, but the S-View cover won't work with it.
Any more ideas?

I don't think this is your problem, but just to put this out there in case other people stumble upon the thread....
This can be caused by using a custom kernel in a CM11 based ROM that was built after about August 3rd (give or take a few days)
CM changed the way the Wifi and data are managed by the kernel. So older customer kernels aren't compatible.

Solved my issue...
Booted to recovery, wiped data and cache, booted straight to Download mode, flashed stock rom, booted straight to recovery, wiped data and cache again, booted, profit.
Wi-Fi not going on / bootloops (SOLVED)

1) Flash Wifi fix/NON-HLOS from this post. See here how to flash a modem.
2) Solved those FC / Bootloops problem flashing that KT-SGS4 Kernel.
3) See here how my same Wi-Fi / Bootlop problems were all solved.
Hi Guys,
I flashed my Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 on Cm12 optimized final version (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=21406&sort_by=date&sort_dir=DESC)
and everything was fine until I couldn't get a connection to any wifi.
I am at home now and try to get a connection to my router but it won't work.
I even flashed the matching modem.bin again (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025)
but nothing...
I am located in Germany by the way and my baseband version is "I9505XXUGNG1".
It tries to connect via ad-hoc out of the sudden but I did not change anything.
Since I've connected via a router from the very beginning this is wrong, right?
Any suggestions what to do?
Thanks!

You are using a 4.4.2 modem on a 5.0.1 rom. That could be the source of your problem.
ps I would just update to the CM 12.1 optimized version. It's rock solid and that could possibly also fix your problems.

Thank you for the quick response!
Yeah..I just stumbled over the cm 12.1 a few minutes ago.
I will try. Will I have to install the right modem manually or is it included?

A modem is never included in a custom rom. Make sure to fully wipe before you flash the 12.1.
If after that you still have wifi issues, then you could try to upgrade bootloader and modem.

OK. Full wipe means wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache?
Because in Antares instructions it just says wipe data/ factory reset.
You mentioned that I use a 4.4.2 modem.
Won't this be on it after the reset?
Thanks for the ongoing support mate :good:

Yes it means wiping data/ factory reset from the recovery (the cache is wiped automatically in the process).
It's up to you what you want. I would still update to the CM 12.1 because it contains the latest Android bugfixes.
If after that you still have wifi issues, you could update the bootloader + modem to match lollipop version.
Or you could just update bootloader + modem now and see if it fixes it.

I think you got me wrong.
I will update to cm 12.1 anyways but my question is
whether after the wipe the old 4.4.2 modem I've got
installed still will be on my device and cause problems
with the newer ROM or not because you mentioned that
no custom ROMs have modems included.
Installed 12.1 and it seems to work fine!
Wifi works without any trouble..hope it stays that way.
The Modem is still the same but I assume that I can leave it like that.
Thank you for your help again!

Good to hear
I updated lately to the latest Lollipop rom (I9505XXUHOD7 DBT & I9505XXUHOE1 SIO) and all go perfect here less the screen rotation. I mean the toggle is actived but no works (I tried in Gallery and QuickPic app). I'm not a noob flashing ROMs and custom ROMS and YES:
1. Wiped data/Factory reset my device before install Lollipop.
2. I downgraded to android 4.4.2 and the Screen Rotation works perfectly.
3. Dialing *#1234# all seems correct.
4. Do you have the same problem?.
5. Ty for your help :fingers-crossed:.

Strange issue you are having. It's unclear to me if you also wiped the /system partition. That would my place to start.

What about custom roms?
Mostly it's caused by hardware problems. It's maybe worth to see if the connector is still at it's place or maybe dirty. Even if it works in 4.4.2.
I have an extremely persistent set of problems:
1. Unable to record video
- stock camera freezes and the phone restarts (no matter the resolution or storage)
- other camera apps (mx, open, google..) either freezes or acts like its recording but it doesn't
2. While playing some videos, the phone freezes and restarts (in 90% its instagram videos, but sometimes it plays them fine)
What i tried:
- a bunch of roms. The problems probably started with some of them.
- returned to a stock lolipop
- several custom and stock kernels
- a bunch of camera apps
Currently i'm on Audax rom v26.1 with its audax kernel.
Does anyone have idea what could i try?
Could it be a hardware problem? (other than that, camera works fine)
Thanks in advance.
So I solved it by:
Using Odin 3.11.1
I have already tried Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, flashed the latest stock Lolipop or older lollipop with ODin and nothing solved the problem.
So I tried to flash the latest stock lolipop with Odin and marking checked (Auto Reboot , F. Reset Time , Phone EFS clear, Phone Bootloader update).
I suspect that the Phone EFS clear did the trick. It's function is related to the modem and radio of the phone. And clearly the modem has a problem here.
I hope this will help anybody out there having this issue.
This problem happened after trying to flash lollipop using FlashFire app to reserve the root that I had in my previos Android KK 4.4.2.

Hi there,
Sorry, but did not face any issue like that before.
If you have searched a lot for a solution and could not solve it, I suggest that you install this ROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/purify-cm-13-hlte-n9005-unofficial-cm13-t3337234
This happened to me once after a terrible mistake , which is not related to my above issue. Then I installed this ROM and never looked back. Much snappier phone, lower battery usage and less heated device. I just love it. The only thing that I missed, the better camera app in the stock ROM, and the TouchWiz ability to show multiple apps at the same time.
I strongly suggest that you do a Nandroid backup then give this ROM a try. If you did not like it, you can always return to the Nandroid backup again.
You are frustrated now, like I was. Take a deep breath, and remember that we all went through such bad times with our phone, not just you. This is part of the experience of using such complicated devices. You will solve it eventually, believe me!
I'm using RR 6 latest with OB7 and Flash Kernel and have been having these 2 issues:
1. If I start waze in a building it says no GPS connection and even when I go to a place with GPS connection it never refreshes and I have to kill the app and reopen it.
2. When I disable wifi sometimes it locks the screen and disables cellular then when I open it everything works again.
Reflashed everything from kernel to rom and nothing changes
Did you factory reset (incl. internal storage) before re-flashing?
I've also heard OB7 is very buggy, could be the reason...

Have had these issues since before OB7. Just flashed OB8. Yes I did factory reset everything already multiple times but the bugs persist
