I am using android auto with my rooted Huawei P8 GRA-L09 B200 and my Pioneer AVH-X8700BT. It needs ~10sec to start but it works. Sometimes android auto crashes after some minutes but then it starts again and works fine.
To setup android auto you will need to apply the parking break.

Same issue with the p8 and android auto, can't connect.
I'm having the same issue, cannot connect the Huawei p8 running Android 7 to the Cadillac Que system with android auto. So frustrating.

Same here, with a Kenwood DDX9016DABS head unit. Works fine with Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.

OP3T
I have now got a OnePlus 3T and android auto is night and day different. It connects immediately no lag what so ever never crashes and is reliable as the car dash itself.
I cannot believe the difference. On my P8 it was quite laggy but on the OP3T it's snappy as you like.
I never used Android Auto on the P8 once I finally got it working as it always seemed a faff to get it going. Now on the OP3T I use it all the time.

Huawei P Smart - Android Auto issue

Hi all,
i have a Huawei P Smart (dual Sim) updated to September patches of Google (EMUI 8.0 and Android 8.0). The model is FIG-LX1.
The smartphone is not rooted and i have a problem with Android Auto in my car headunit.
Previously i had a Huawei P9 Lite that was able to connect to my car by Android Auto correctly and it showed correctly on the car screen (i was able to use maps and other apps in the car by the car screen).
Now Huawei P Smart is not able to connect to my car. When i plug the USB in the car, the smartphone is only in charge and the car doesn't recognize the device.
My car is Opel Corsa 2016 (and it is compatible with Android Auto).
Do you have advice to solve this issue? Any workaround?
Thanks in adance

Android Auto not starting when connected

Hey everyone, I'm having troubles getting android auto to work at all on my new s10+. All my previous android phones worked flawlessly. I have been trying all sorts of debug methods in order to get my car to launch AA somehow but to no avail. I would really appreciate anyones input on this.

Same here. And the 1% of the time it does launch all the setting are going and have to go through the initial setup. So annoying. Have a '16 Escalade.
I have no issues on Ford Sync 3, even is better than before with P20 Pro where it was not loaded usually on first time. Maybe try different cable?
On your display scroll over to your mercedes connect and choose it. You should see boxes to check for android auto and apple carplay
Had the same today with my new car and S10+
Resolved it by installing APK for Android Auto from APK mirror.
I chose "armeabi-v7a" variant from https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-auto/android-auto-5-4-5022-release/
Hi, what version you've used? I have tried 5.4.50and it doesn't work. I mean the app works, but it wont connect to my car.

Latest Android Auto Interface when using Seicane Headunit?

I'm currently looking to purchase a Seicane headunit for my 2008 Accord, but really just want to connect my phone via USB to use Android Auto on it. I've read up on the Autokit app, I'm guessing I need the Carplay/Android Auto USB Dongle as well.
https://www.seicane.com/2008-2013-h...lay-swc-wifi-music-support-dvr-tpms-obd2-h281
I apologize if this isn't the right place for this question, but in order to use the latest Android Auto Interface (that came out in 2019), does it matter which version of Android the headunit has on it, or does it only depend on my phone? I currently have the Pixel 2XL and will actually be upgrading the Galaxy S20+ once it's released. Before placing the order with Seicane, I just wanted to check to see if that mattered. The headunit I'm looking at would be Android 8.0 whie my phone would be Android 10. I've read a lot of mixed things on Seicane, however they are the only unit that I could have a 10.1 inch screen above the dash instead of a regular unit below.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

These Seicane units and others are not Android Auto, they are a hacked android OS. Are you wanting Android Auto or Android.

I have the below the dash Dasaita 10.2inch PX6 9.0 with the Carlinkit USB dongle and it works really well with the latest iPhone 11 and the Samsung S9+.

So regular Android Auto is ideally what I'm looking for. However I've looked at most of the normal aftermarket setups with the dash kit for my 2008 Accord, but don't like the standard spot for it in my car since it is too low like the attached pic (1 - LowDashLocation.jpg), especially when using it for navigation. I'd like to have a unit where it's higher up (like the other attached pic, 2 - SeicaneAccord). I also like the larger 10.1 Screen. I like how the stock screen is moved below.
The Seicane really seems like the only option for this, but I'm planning on trying to use that Carplay/Android Auto USB Dongle with AutoLink to use it with Android Auto. I'm not sure how well it would work though in this case. If anyone has any other solutions that might work better for Android Auto I'd definitely appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks!

Thanks for this info. Dasaita would be similar to the Seicane I was looking at. So does Android Auto specifically work well on it, and do you have the newer Android Auto 2019 interface (which is much better) that comes up? Is it pretty quick to come up and any lag? Do you use Google Maps from your phone?

Android Auto /Apple Car play works really well, I haven't had any problems what's so ever and yes it's the Android Auto 2019 interface.
Less than 10 secs and it's connected and as soon as it's connected it loads up Google maps on my Android head unit, I use the head unit and put the phone in my centre console and have no need to touch it.

That's great to hear! If you don't mind I have a few questions! Lol
I'm curious, on your Android head unit what version of Android do you have on it and what did you have to do in order to get the 2019 Android Auto installed? Once it synced with your phone was it something on the phone side? If you didn't have the adapter and just plugged the phone in with USB even with Autolink I'm guessing it wouldn't work?
Also, do all the functions of Android auto including the phone function work well without lag and connects fine with Bluetooth? I read some people had issues with phone not working through it and having to use the dialer that came with the unit. Is the microphone used during calling the one from the headunit or on the actual USB dongle?
Assuming you don't have any issues with lag, how much RAM do you have on your unit?
Thanks a ton for your help! I apologize for all the questions.

I have the Dasaita 10.2 inch Android 9 Pie
CPU : RK3399 , Dual Cortex-A72 + Quad Cortex-A53, 64-bit
RAM : 4 GB
ROM : 64 GB
Telephone functions works well, no drop outs or lag.
Either use the microphone from the head unit but I have installed an external microphone in the original location of the cars microphone position. I use the external microphone jack from the back of the Head unit.

Thanks, appreciate the pics too! Did you have to do anything special to get the 2019 interface for Android Auto on the unit after installing the Autolink apk? And every time you get into the car you just open the Autolink app and connect the phone I'm assuming, does it take awhile to connect? Did you install a particular launcher that you liked?
Having a USB-C phone I'm guessing I'll just need to use a USB-A to USB-C adapter so I won't get fast charging, but still would probably be worth it to modernize my car a bit.

Hi,There is nothing that I have to do other than plug my phone into the usb socket and approx 10 seconds later Android auto/Apple Carplay is up and running.
You can install what ever launcher you like that suits you, I'm using Car Launcher Pro.

Hello everyone. I received an updated Firmware directly from seicane for their head unit. This is Android 10 update for the 2/32 GB unit. Everything seems to be working great so far on unit. If you would like to try it for yourself please feel free to download and install. I'm not too tech savvy so if you have any questions I'll answer them the best I can. Thought I would share for anyone to update their own unit if possible
PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I will not be held responsible for any damages done to your own unit.
Thank you!

Help Identifying Chery Cars Head Unit (2020-..)

Hello all,
I have been struggling to upgrade or at least Identify my head unit on the Chery Arrizo 6 Pro car , i know for a fact that it is android based (when editing the car name in the head unite, it shows a familiar google G-board) thought it has CarPlay, it doesn't have android auto, and the screen mirroring function are not the best.
Though i just my car this week, I found out that since i got it from a deal showroom, all its system on v1.0, it will be a while tell i go to the official dealer (long drive, you do not wanna know)
so if anyone out there who are facing or no a solution to this issue for Chery cars, just leave your good comment below.
on a side note, is there an app that can spoof the carplay to run android auto in it?
Quick adding to my thread, this is my software right now
My car is chery Arrizo 6 Pro
AKA Chery GX, or Chery Arrizo 5 plus (they all have the same head unit)

Junsun V1 PRO / 4 GB + 64 GB / Problem with Android Auto and CarPlay

Hello,
I recently purchased an Android Head-Unit from Aliexpress, the Junsun V1 PRO. My car is a Peugeot 208 from 2013.
I have a problem that is driving me mad, and I'm wondering if any of you came across it.
The problem is about Zlink / Tlink. The app worked once for me, and I was able to use CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly.
But weirdly enough, it stopped working after the first attempt. I tried everything, from connecting, disconnecting, using wifi-hotspots, until I decided to factory reset.
The Tlink5 app disappeared. Do you know a way to get it back ?
Or, another solution to get CarPlay and Android Auto ? I found out about Headunit Reloaded which allow for Android Auto, but how about CarPlay ?
Thanks in advance.
