Hi guys,
I got my Samsung Galaxy Y about a month ago, after looking at custom roms and such, without really reading into it (Like an absolute moron) I just went ahead and flashed, PDA, Phone And CSC and my network has stopped working.
The phone was locked to telstra, but I have rooted and unlocked it from the network (After losing network operator connection)
I've searched high and low for a fix to my problem in hope that I have not completely stuffed my phone.
Code:
Firmware versions:
PDA: S5360DXKL2
PHONE: S53650XXLA4
CSC: S5360OLBKL2
From the knowledge I gained over the last 2-3 days trying to fix this problem. This doesn't look correct at all. (And I hope someone here has this phone in Australia with the original rom, I believe that the original ROM for my phone was: DXLA1 or something along those lines.
Code:
About Phone:
Android Version: 4.1.1
Baseband: S5360XXLA4 (WHY?)
Build Name: NXT2ICSv2
IMEI and operator settings stayed as normal and didn't corrupt.
After wondering about this for days, I thought I'd get some help. Does anyone have any suggestion on how I should, if i can fix it?
Thanks.
EDIT:
I have S5830TDVKQ3_S5830TTELKQ3_S5830TDVKQ3_HOME.tar.md5,
Troubleshooting Instructions:
1.Restart your phone if you lost your signal(hold power button until your phone turns black and then release power button).
2.If the method 1 doesn't works, Try turning off your phone and remove for 5 minutes your SIM card and then blow the SIM card slot then after 5 minutes, Re-insert the SIM and turn on phone and see if this method works.
3.Try re-flashing your firmware using ODIN.
4.try checking your CSC , maybe you selected the wrong CSC.
5.Do a hard reset by dialing *2767*3855# in your dialer
if all the method that i've listed doesn't works , re-lock your phone to your carrier , unroot , factory reset and then bring your phone to your carrier's store where you got your network-locked galaxy y.

Hi Sean,
Thanks for your help. It was as easy as calling the telstra shop and asking what firmware was needed, getting it from sammobile and splitting it then reflashing the original firmware.
Turns out that the firmware Telstra is using for their 5360 is TAJKK3. (Austria) Does anyone know why this is?

you just saved my phone + 1 THANKS
i have a similar problem where can i download the software tajkk3 and put it on my phone thank you very much
oh and also did it work for you?
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S4, GT-i9500. But I suspect that this might be a fake.
From About Device:
Model number - GT-i9500
Android version - 4.4.2
Baseband version - I9500ZCUGND1
Kernel version - 3.4.0-505595 [email protected] #1 Tue Feb 11 22.24.31 KST 2014
Build number - DONGCHAO.V1
Secure boot status - Type: Samsung
Security software version - MDF v1.0 Release 2
From Phone INFO:
Manufacturer / Brand - samsung
Phone Model - GT-I9500
Device Type - jflteatt
Product Name - jfltezc
Country of Origin - Made in Korea
Original CSC Code - CHN
Firmware's CSC Code - CHN
Active CSC Code - CHN
CSC Country - USA
CSC Country ISO - CN
Product Code - SGH-I337ZRACHN
Bootloader Version - I337UCUEMK2
Baseband Version - I337UCUFNB1
PDA Version - I9500ZCUGND1
CSC Version - I337ATTFNB1
Changelist - 505595
Build Number - KOT49H.I9500ZCUGND1
Build Fingerprint - samsung/jflteucjflteatt:4.4.2/KOT49H/I9500ZCUGND1:user/release-keys
Build Description - jflteuc-user 4.4.2 KOT49H I9500ZCUGND1 release keys
Hardware / Board - qcom / MSM8960
Platform / Chip - msm8960 / apq8064
GPS Status shows me both GPS and GLONASS.
CPU Identifier reports CPU is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T x4
My concern stems from the Build Number being DONGCHOU.V1 being that Dongchou is a city in China, the various CSC codes being CHN, the model reporting as GT-i9500 but the Product Code reporting as SGH-I337ZRACHN.
I've been unable to get root on this phone nor can I load a recovery.
Does anyone recognize the DONGCHOU.V1 build number? Or give me a pointer to how I can root and/or flash a custom recovery?
This appears to be exactly what it seems: a 9500 with AT&T firmware. And whenever I see people saying they purchased one of these off ebay I tell them to return the phone and purchase off Swappa instead. You may have a lot of work ahead of you to get this working, and even if you do you still have to deal with AT&T's encrypted bootloader in customizing the device.
Note that the 9500 is not available in the US, and thus NO 9500 should ever have AT&T firmware.
So if it's a 9500 with AT&T firmware, then it either wasn't made by Samsung or it was modified after manufacture. (If I put my tinfoil hat on, I could come up with all kinds of nasty scenarios.) Either way, it's going to be difficult or impossible to do anything with it.
Thanks for your help.
Modified after manufacture more likely. Posts regarding these phones have been coming up with some frequency over the last two months, and in each case the phone turned out to be an AT&T S4 with modified or otherwise incorrect firmware. Yours may be the first where the device is correct but the firmware wrong, but I wouldn't bother cracking open the phone to find out.
samsung s4 i9505 at back sticker & even in "about" but i337 in recovery mode
hi guys, i have got a Samsung s4 which is showing a circle sign within line in it at network. i checked the IMEI in about is "null" & even in *#06#. i tried to re-flash it with Odin 3.09 it says "fail (auth)". i tried to delete data & cache in recovery mode but suddenly checked it is showing SGH-I337 in there. i am totally confused whether i have Samsung i9505 or i337 in my hands.
info regarding s4 in about
model number GT-I9505
android version 4.4.2
bb version I9505XXUFNB8
kernel version 3.4.0-505595 [email protected] #1 Tue Feb 11 22:24:31 KST 2014
build number KOT49H.I9505XXUFNB7
IMEI unknown
IMEISV unknown
device status official
info from device info app
Product Code nothing
Original CSC code ATT
Active CSC code TGY
PDA version I9505XXUFNB8
CSC version I337ATTFNB1
Baseband version nothing
Android version 4.4.2
Mobile operator nothing
this is the info from the app where "nothing" means blank field.
Whatever model appears on the download mode screen is the model of S4, regardless of what the sticker may say. In this case, an AT&T Frankenphone (SGH-I337).

for me is false, i9500 uses Exynos , not Qualcomm Snapdragon 600
I missed that about the CPU when the post was made back in January, and thus the OP's device is just like all the other Frankenphones.Even so, my advice to return the phone applies regardless.
