Samsung Camera App on Custom ROM - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ive just installed BlissPop on my S5 for the 2nd time and I would like to know if it possible to install the stock Samsung Camera App to my custom rom as its much better than the camera app with this ROM.
Main thing I want to be able to use is Burst Mode as taking pictures of my 2 little ones is tricky at the best of times and they will never sit still. Alternatively if someone suggests a really good camera app with this feature I could try that
Many thanks
Bart

The detailed answer is - it will be difficult - very difficult. The camera from the stock samsung firmware relies on the touchwiz framework to work correctly.

can anyone help (dspmanager, call recording, geotagging & custom roms

Well I have had my sgs for a couple of weeks now on the whole very happy with android can't help thinking how great my last phone (i8910) would have been with froyo though, oh well. ,Anyway so I have managed to root and lag fix a stock 2.2.1 Rom and add the voodoo sound driver thing as well as the clockworkRom bootloader. So think I'm doing ok, albeit with a couple of big mistakes. Thank god for titanium backup pro and latterly CM.
Any way i have tried to install dsp manager a couple of times via different methods and each time suffered the hardest to recover from failures both times took several hours to find the
right recovery combinations. So does anyone know why this is?
My ultimate goal is to increase volume on music playback on my Bluetooth headset so if you have a better way this would also be welcome?
Secondly I can't find a single call recording app that will record both sides when using Bluetooth headsets anyone know of anything?
Thirdly i see geotagging remains an issue on the sgs I'd like to share increase that 5x zoom pro works okay a camera app that can disable geotagging but it misses some of the better features of the native app like anti shake and smile detect etc does anyone know of a better option?
Finally the custom Rom's thing is confusing me a great deal is there a decent beginners guide that has information regarding most of the main ones and their main benefits?

[Q] Changing the stock camera app.

Hi,
I noticed my friend with a S4 as well had different options in his stock camera application, probably due to the fact that I flashed my ROM to something else because I screwed it trying to rename the shutter sound files. Is there anyway to safely replace the stock camera app with one with all the options, for example shutter sound, and all the lighting options, because atm, I can't even zoom, it's really just silly.
Thanks ahead.
stock camera wont run on cm or google based roms
you need TW roms

Camera with surround shot for Galaxy s4 lollypop

Is there finally at least one normal solution to get surround shot mode (aka photo sphere, 360 photo, vr panorama, orb) at samsung galaxy S4 GT-I9505? I want it to work fast, save images to SD card, use samsung camera's drivers.
Stock camera is well, but there is not such mode there. There is easy way to make surround panoramas, but it has some incomfortabilities:
There is Google camera, which has photo sphere mode, but it has poor settings and can only save pictures in internal storage, not on the SD card. Is it possible to make Google's camera to be a "system application" to be possible to write to sd?
Also I have found an easy solution to install apk from here. It is stock camera from google play edition smartphone. It do not requires root. It was for Android 4.2, but apk works normally on Lollipop. It also has poor settings and saves only on intermal storage.
It seems, that for making good pictures the solution (for me for now) is keeping stock camera with its cool features (autofocusing, animated picture, etc) and one of above cameras for spherical shots.
But also I wanted to ask, maybe there is a solution to port one of samsung's devices camera, which has surround mode to galaxy s4? I think that should be good, due to samsung are using specific hardware drivers for their camera and shots should be bettes quality.
I did a discovery about what cameras has such mode.
As I understand, Note 4 camera has no such mode. But Note 3 camera has.
In this thread they say that they ported Note 3 camera to sgs4. But it is for Android 4.4.2. Is it possible to install it on Lollypop? Because in that case I could keep only single camera application on smart phone.
I also tried that s5 camera port on stock lollypop 5.0.1, but it did not worked for me.
As I understand, in s5 and s6 cameras there is surround mode, but you need to separately download it from galaxy apps.
I tryed to install that ROM which include S6 camera, but in Galaxy apps there is no even one application. So is there a way for somebody extract needed apk from Galaxy apps store (by installing on their S6 for example and extract from file system) and publish it for s4 users?
So, exprienced developers, please help.

What's the current CM camera status for the i9505?

Hi guys,
I'm considering moving from danvdh's ROM back to the latest CM, due to some limitations (not being able to use the SD card to move apps, unable to use xposed at the moment), but wanted to know what's the status of CM's camera, as this is something that works rather well on Danvdh's ROM. Does it take pictures on HDR mode? Able to use SDcard to store the pics?
Thanks!
I've seen storage location options in the camera app. As for the HDR, I don't know.
Xposed is working on the GPE ROM. HDR does not and probably never will function on Cyanogenmod. Your best bet is a third-party camera app that uses its own libraries for HDR and other effects instead of relying on the ones in the ROM.
If done some testing (with my i9505 with optimized CM 12.1). This seems to work and offers additional features to defauklt cam:

[APK Suggestion] New camera apk for the custom roms.

I Found a perfect camera apk but the UI it's not the best (Cameringo+), works very good but it's time to make a new camera apk because the Lineage OS Camera it's old in this times and i not see a camera that's work good and looks good, my suggestion it's work in new apk with the heart and soul of Cameringo+ but with the look of Footej (Obviously add the button HDR), that's it, only a sugesttion, i know.. Maybe it's very complicated but, it's time to create a new camera apk for the new custom roms.
By the way, I'm sorry if I got into the wrong category to give this suggestion ?
