With the release of Plex server for shield TV I've decided to make the shield my permanent media server which the media will be saved to a Western digital USB storage device. My problem is getting new media on the shield.
I'd like to have a method to remotely download torrents directly to the western digital drive on the Shield using my phone or laptop. Is there anyway I could achieve this?

Well, for add torrents from my phone I use tTorrent WebUI in my Shield and Transdroid in my phone. Just make sure to set the right config in your router to get access from your phone. :good:

NVidia Shield TV with PSVue Firetv APK

I've extracted the firetv psvue app and loaded it on to nvidia shield tv. I've have the amazon app store installed.
The application starts and then exists saying that it is not meant for the device.
Is there a way to spoof a firetv on nvidia shield or make the changes to the application so it works?
Any advise tips as to where should I start digging?

Sideload Windows Games onto ShieldTV?

So i'd like to sideload a game onto my Shield TV, is this possible? I know it's possible with Apps, but this is a full game. Thanks! (Game is Witcher3)
if its an .exe no but if its in a format that can work with an emulator then you can test it.
In case of an exe, what you can do is stream from your PC the game using an app like Splashtop (it supports hardware accel) to remote control your PC or if your have a compatible Nvidia Card on your PC you can use the Gamestream feature by Nvidia in your Shield TV.

I don't know about Splashtop, but the native way to stream on the Shield TV is using its native app GameStream, if you have an nVidia Card.
Beside that, you can't sideload an .exe on the Shield, and generally on Android. And you wouldn't have the computational power to run a game on it like The Witcher 3, natively.
Have a nice day
was this a serious question?
First of all, you can't run windows games on Android devices. Second, this device doesn't even have the performance to run that game.
Third, the shield tv is equipped to stream windows game from your computer to your device, or from the cloud to your device. You can only stream PC games to the Nvidia Shield (tv). Windows Applications won't work either. Unless there's some x86 emulator somewhere.

Waipu App for nvidia shield TV?

Hi there.
Waipu is a live Service from Germany. Unfortunately they just programmed Apps for Android and firetv. None of them are working on the shield.
The Android App isn't able to switch the Channels correctly, it just gets Black.
The firetv App can't be installed.
And there is no kodi addon.
Is anybody able to help me, use waipu at the shield?
Regards
If it requires a full version of Android, then it will not run on the Shield TV unless you replace the ROM.

Be aware that installing any custom ROM requires wiping all data on the Shield TV.
