I've extracted the firetv psvue app and loaded it on to nvidia shield tv. I've have the amazon app store installed.
The application starts and then exists saying that it is not meant for the device.
Is there a way to spoof a firetv on nvidia shield or make the changes to the application so it works?
Any advise tips as to where should I start digging?

Most games that allow a controller can recognize and work with the SATV. I use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.offworldsoftware.androidgamepadgames
That let's me browse games that are compatible with the shield or any gamepad. That might be a good place to start.

The Google Play app searches for apps that are flagged with the Android TV/controller compatibility so what you see when you search is it. It's a bit sparse but there's some good ones on there.
Some apps have Android TV counterparts specifically made for controller or shield TV, which isn't a great thing. Nice that they specifically support our device, but not nice that if you've already purchased it on mobile you'll have to purchase it again for TV. Skyforce being the first one I've come across with this, which is an excellent game.

Hello, I bought Autovoice. It works great in my phone. I installed it on Nvidia Shield Tv and I only have trial. Also, voice recognition on Nvidia shield TV does not work. Somebody help me
You have to sideload AutoApps (create an apk from your smartphone and install it on your Shield) to activate it.
Now that some of the Premier League has moved onto the NBCsn Gold app, does anyone have a version that works on the Shield TV. The std android app sideloaded doesn't work. There is the Fire stick version but that requires Amazon store authentification. It can be cast from a laptop or whatever to the shield but it would be nice to have an app on the shield.
Unfortunately, this is a stand alone app, so the Kodi version of the old NBCsn app can't be used either as a work around.
Also curious about this. Really strange that the apps are available in the Play Store, on Roku etc. but not in the Play Store for Android TV.

Waipu is a live Service from Germany. Unfortunately they just programmed Apps for Android and firetv. None of them are working on the shield.
The Android App isn't able to switch the Channels correctly, it just gets Black.
The firetv App can't be installed.
And there is no kodi addon.
Is anybody able to help me, use waipu at the shield?

If it requires a full version of Android, then it will not run on the Shield TV unless you replace the ROM.

Be aware that installing any custom ROM requires wiping all data on the Shield TV.
