Is anyone able to export the Grand Prime's ringtones and share them here? I'm looking for a specific ringtone of this phone. It's a whistle melody which gets stuck in your head forever once you've heard it (it's not the default Samsung notification whistle).
Would be great!

For some reason despite my best efforts to change the audio (like for example when I get a new e-mail it plays a sound. I change the e-mail sound notification under sounds and notifications, but no matter what I choose it plays the same sound…)
It does this for every sound but my ringtones. (which I have ringo installed for so it somehow supersedes this problem.)
So I am wondering is there is a way to master set the sound so that the sound I choose is the one that plays. Sounds and notifications won’t do this for me.
Searched long and hard, but with any luck I just could not find the answer.
Any help or direction would be appreciated!
Q
The majority of my ringtones are listed twice, they are too quiet when turned all the way up and there are no ringtones appropriate for somebody who is not a soccer mom or in junior school...am i missing something? like maybe ringtones that are not entire original instrumental songs? I use a song from my music but id like a standard ringtone...otherwise Im loving the phone (except for the notification light that seems to only work for some text messages) thank you
Apologies if this has been asked but I've not found a thread so far for this problem.
I am using rom 1.61 and recently decided to add different ringtones to my most common contacts. The ringtones are just normal MP3 files, eg some are songs, some are stuff like TV theme tunes etc. They all play perfectly in any of the media players like coreplayer etc.
But when any person with a personalised ringtone calls me, I get no ringtone at all. The phone vibrates, and the speaker is on & volume turned up, but no sound plays.
Anyone know if this is a fault, or is there a setting I have missed or something?
Thanks
Jim
i had this problem with the same rom but i found that setting the ringtone through file explorer seemed to sort it out
Don't think that will help will it mate?
You can only set the current overall ringtone like that, and the problem I've got is that ringtones set that are different for various people do not play.
Actually, I just found something out, that when I've set these personalised ones for different people it has set itself as a default tone just to vibrate.
I've changed it to a proper ringtone now, but I'll have to get a friend to call me to see if this works now. I have a suspicion there's more to it than this......
Bump! Anyone?
I haven't played with ringtones ( besides default ) until today. Well I have convinced myself that I am retarded. I did some searching, and I found out that the ringtones are in the /system/media/audio folder. Great ! Copy and paste, right ?!? Wrong. Putting an MP3 in there did nothing. Hmmm, all the files are ogg ... so I convert the MP3 to ogg. I changed permissions to match the default ones. Hell, I even made sure it had a capital letter. Now it does show up in the list, but not with the proper name. Its listed as "0". For God's sake, there has to be a way to fix this and there has to be an easier way to add mp3's/oggs for custom ringtones. Honestly, if I can get the Imperial March to play when the wife calls and the theme from Jaws to play when the mother in-law calls, I'll be a happy guy. Please tell me there's an app for that !

Ringdroid.
Also.. /sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
Thank you. Hangs head in shame ...
By accident I found out if you long hold the song in the music player a menu will appear. Select use as ringtone. Showed up in the list perfect for me.

I cant set ringtones at all because it just crashes ANY app that would set one
Hello, is there an app that will play highlights of a song as a ringtone? Samsung Galaxy devices do this.
I usually cut them up with a ring tone maker. Or zedge might help you.
