Control all Audio (notifications, alarms, ect…) - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

For some reason despite my best efforts to change the audio (like for example when I get a new e-mail it plays a sound. I change the e-mail sound notification under sounds and notifications, but no matter what I choose it plays the same sound…)
It does this for every sound but my ringtones. (which I have ringo installed for so it somehow supersedes this problem.)
So I am wondering is there is a way to master set the sound so that the sound I choose is the one that plays. Sounds and notifications won’t do this for me.
Searched long and hard, but with any luck I just could not find the answer.
Any help or direction would be appreciated!

MP3 Ringtone - Not Loud Enough

Hey guys, I was wondering why all my mp3 ringtones are awfully silent, while the wavs are alright (but they lack the mp3s' quality). Is there a way to increase the volume for the mp3 ringtones to match the wavs'? Thanks in advance.
Hi,
May I know if you test mp3 ringtone volume from Settings | Sound Notification? If so, try to test it by calling your phone. In my experience, the sound quality is very bad when test from Settings | Sound Notification, but when come to incoming call it is quite good.
On second thought, I'll just leave it as wav. It really does sound a lot better when you're being called.
Maybe you've got hd-tweak installed, there's an option under "sound" where you can switch off 100db limit and set it to "normal". This worked for me!

listen to music, vibrate mode, HOW?

Hi
I have searched but did not find a good answer or solution, how in hell can I listen to music with vibrate mode? it's very annoying that I can't do it, for example when I have many people around me for example at the train, I want to listen to music without hearing the stupid ringtone come through the speakers even when I use the handsfree I get the ringtone direct in my ear and the speakers, why? any solution? I think maybe the problem is Windows Mobile but there must be a way to fix this...
I have found a solution for this, but you will have to use a freeware app called G-Profile.
Install it
Create a profile called Music (or whatever)
In Type choose: Program Based
Choose your Music Player in "Execute"
Change the Notifications: For instance: Phone: Incoming call, choose "Vibrate"
Quick and dirty tutorial, but try G-Profile, get the hang of it and you'll be glad you did.
thanks working
i just have a silent ringtone lol

Personalised ringtones not playing?

Apologies if this has been asked but I've not found a thread so far for this problem.
I am using rom 1.61 and recently decided to add different ringtones to my most common contacts. The ringtones are just normal MP3 files, eg some are songs, some are stuff like TV theme tunes etc. They all play perfectly in any of the media players like coreplayer etc.
But when any person with a personalised ringtone calls me, I get no ringtone at all. The phone vibrates, and the speaker is on & volume turned up, but no sound plays.
Anyone know if this is a fault, or is there a setting I have missed or something?
Thanks
Jim
i had this problem with the same rom but i found that setting the ringtone through file explorer seemed to sort it out
Don't think that will help will it mate?
You can only set the current overall ringtone like that, and the problem I've got is that ringtones set that are different for various people do not play.
Actually, I just found something out, that when I've set these personalised ones for different people it has set itself as a default tone just to vibrate.
I've changed it to a proper ringtone now, but I'll have to get a friend to call me to see if this works now. I have a suspicion there's more to it than this......
Bump! Anyone?

System sound when on vibrate

Is there any way to listen to music while the phone is on vibrate?
I found it highly frustrating that there is no system sound if you choose to put your phone on vibrate. Can this be changed?

You can use an external player that runs a separate volume function, like core player.
Neither Core Player, nor Pocket Player make it work.
When on vibrate there is no sound.
Any other tweaks/ideas/programs?

Yeah, you're right. You can turn the sound off and still hear music but not on Vib.
Yeap. And it is very bad.
Because I want to listen to music with my headphones without disturbing those around me and "vibrate" is important for getting calls, sms etc.
It seems to me very strange that there is no answer for this. I would think that others would have encountered the same problem also.
Aren't there any customizable profiles in Topaz like in other HTC phones?

On that note, I listen to music at work through my headphones and can still hear alerts come in.
hi, i think i found a solution, but for this to work you'll have to enable the HTC Sense interface (or touch flo 3D). I dont know why but i just couldnt find it on the standard windows mobile theme. So here it is. With HTC Sense enabled (or touch flo3D), slide to the Settings tab and then touch Sound. In sound, turn off the Single Volume option and there you go Now you'll have seperate system and ring volume

There is a way, but first you must do as in previous post and disable single volume then install Microsoft Voice Command. MSVC creates a secondary ring profile which can be edited in the registry.
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\
Edit the string "Script" from "as5p" to "v0p" (v-zero-p) this will set the phone to always vibrate even if you remove vibration from your ring profile. This way, even if you set you phone ring volume to minimum (not silent or vibrate) you will hear system sounds and vibrate when receiving calls. [Q] Notifications pausing music

One of my favorite features of 4.1 Jellybean was that notifications (SMS, etc.) did not pause music, but rather were gently overlaid on top of a temporarily lowered volume.
Perhaps this is a Samsung disruption of a thoughtful Android enhancement, as while streaming music from rdio on my shiny new N3, I was dismayed to have had my music brutally interrupted for a text message notification.
Obnoxious. Annoying. Any way to fix this?
You can't fix it. Because it doesn't any error.

i think, it depends on the application, because when im using whatsapp it doesnt interrupt, but a gmail notification will interrupt the music playback... its kinda annoying...
I dream mp3's from my device to my car via Bluetooth.
It's horrid that notifications aren't silenced duringI music playback.
therefore turn off notifications volume when listening to music in the car.
This also bothers me. Coming from an iPhone the notifications would be overlaid and the music or current activity would lower in volume for the duration of the notification.
With the Note 3 if I am listening to a radio/music app I get an email/MSG it cuts the stream completely and then restarts it.

Mute your phones.
Or enable the option to force the phone into silent mode while music is playing (custom ROMs). Perhaps some 3rd party music players support this option, too.
I am annoyed by this too. I use Trigger to automatically mute my phone when it connects to my car's bluetooth (and then start Waze, open Spotify and hit Play).
No custom ROM I've used has a way to change this behavior. I know that the apps are the ones that listen for this, Beyond Pod for example has a setting to ignore these pause signals and the notifications get overlayed. Spotify doesn't have this option, so muting sounds is my only solution. It works great in the car. You can add a Trigger action to mute when connected to Bluetooth, or when a headset is inserted to make it more automatic.
Tasker is of course another option, but I find Trigger much simpler and eye pleasing.
Doesn't happen for me with N7player and Whatsapp... It just keeps playing and puts the notification on top of the audio.
