OK your problem is that you downgraded the modem and it doesn't match your software version which will make it so WiFi won't work. It looks like you are Lollipop, and I'm guessing you need unlocked modem so you can try this one- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3116542

Hello There,
Was talking to my mate about stuff yesterday when he metioned that he couldn't send/recieve texts, to my thought it might of just been his sim or something, so I took it off him to have a look at it.
After a few minutes of looking around the device, i noticed in the top left that he had a wierd symbol which I have never seen before.
Now, I was just going to ask, anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks in Advance

if its not on flightmode,
and as u had mentioned it shows no network, go to settings->wireless and networks->Mobile network->Network mode->GSM only.
instead of GSM/WCDMA(Auto mode)
this might help.
Thanks for all the replys.
Yes, the sim card is inserted properly.

Also just to add, when i search for networks, none show up, yet when I remove the sim card it connects to 3 UK
Yes, I have tried multiple sims, but they will all show up that circle with a line through it
EDIT: The Phone is running stock 2.3.5, he does not want it rooted, and this issues shows up when ANY TYPE of sim card is inserted, but connects to a local network when sim is removed (Sometimes)

By KitKat I assume you mean cm11-There is no official KitKat for this device
If you have flashed stock rom via odin (see my firmware thread link in signature) then with the exception of an unlikely hardware fault it will be down to your network provider - contact them for issues regarding your network

Support for cm11 cannot be given unless you use psyke83 kernel (the kernel that comes with the cm11 rom)
As explained on the cm11 thread - using any other kernel means psyke83 will not give any support
Signature is what is at the bottom of every one of my posts - the link that says click here to goto my thread
There you will find the link to stock rom firmware - or just goto direct to the top of the dev section where you will find the firmware thread
Thanks

Mate there is no option to activate LTE, its your provider who has to provide you the key (i.e convert the signals you receive to the band/frequency that of a 4G).
Contact your provider and ask them to activate 4G for your connection. I had to do this procedure for mine too.
You wouldn't expect to see LTE options if your current carrier doesn't support LTE. Can you provide a link to confirm that your carrier is using LTE?
The sm-g900f handset itself supports a set of LTE bands. Possibly your carrier firmware has disabled LTE if they don't use LTE. Again we need you to tell us which carrier the phone was originally sold through and what carrier you are currently using the phone on.
Or just reflash to another 900F carrier firmware, choosing a carrier that is known to use LTE. You should do a search and find the appropriate PIT file for the new carrier and flash that concurrently with the firmware.
Alternately, do a search to find the threads that explain how to use service mode to check your LTE band preferences.

Be sure permissions of persist.radio.lteon are set to rw and then to “true” inside this file, after altering the file save the file and make it read-only.
Reboot your phone, now you will see and be able to pick the option “LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)” in Network Mode menu
Important: before altering ANY file on your phone be sure you have a copy of the original, unaltered file!!!
I even found: find the file with this EXACT name 'persist.radio.lteon' and delete it.
Becareful with this i perfer to chance it name & loction not delete it.. (onlt if this first meton didn't work...)

If you flash it, possibly. There's no harm in flashing to find out and flashing back if you aren't satisfied.

I don't know why you would need a factory data reset. But if you want to go ahead
Your phone should connect to the best band provided by your network by default, I don't think it's going to matter what European firmware you use. If you are on Three I would flash the Three firmware anyway so you can use VOLTE when it comes out.

You will have to factory reset your phone because you will get a small system update from Three, which I think enables the 800Mhz network.
Not sure if it supports VOLTE but my phone doesn't show the VOLTE arrows but I have made calls while on 4G.
Or you can try to connect to the 800Mhz 4G network by going to a area where the 1800Mhz 4G signal is weaker.
I have factory reset now but got no update as of yet

Hi guys,
I wanted to make sure if this version is compatible with my AT&T S7 edge (SM-G935A)
Here is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/odin-apk1-tmobile-tmbg935ttmb4apk1-t3494724
Can you guys tell me if this works fine on the att phone? I have bootloader version 2. I'm getting tired of the ATT version that blocks the cool features (e.g. Identify unsaved callers)
Also, can you guys tell me which version of Odin works best with this firmware (don't want to get fail and brick my phone)
I hate to say this, but I think my phone stopped receiving updates from ATT (because I don't want to keep changing my sim card, my sim card is T-Mobile(Metro) and I read the threads that said that in order to update they have to put the ATT sim card. I don't want to do that since my sim card keep coming out of the card (atleast I got in the tray and works)
Anyways, can someone confirm this is compatible with the firmware?
Thanks

Hi guys,
I wanted to make sure if this version is compatible with my AT&T S7 edge (SM-G935A)
Here is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/odin-apk1-tmobile-tmbg935ttmb4apk1-t3494724
Can you guys tell me if this works fine on the att phone? I have bootloader version 2. I'm getting tired of the ATT version that blocks the cool features (e.g. Identify unsaved callers)

Yes you should be fine. I did use this particular on my 935a ATT S7 Edge. Only thing that did not work on my behalf was Wifi Calling. Since you have a TMobile sim in an ATT phone it could work. The Odin I used was Prince's Odin in the Root thread.

Thanks! Well, first of all, my bootloader version is 2. Should I download the T-Mobile firmware bootloader v2 or the latest one(v4)?
One question, whats the difference between home_csc and csc? Is it wiping data? Does using home_csc works with it? If not, I am fine to try csc version.
Honestly I have to check when I get home. Currently at work still. With bootloader you can always upgrade but you can NEVER downgrade. It would result in a fail.

Okay, what do you think firmware is better? 935U or 935T? Do I have to enable OEM unlock? Do I have to turn on startup secure?

Yes! It works! Wi-Fi calling works too! No problem with everything. I see slightly improvements on speed. No problems at all.

It works because it uses T-Mobile SIM (Metro) and I have experienced Wi-Fi Calling on my different phones.
Hello,
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Tmobile - Unlocked (Came with T mobile bloatware)
I had bought SM-G935T unlocked, I was using it with Lycamobile and I wasn't getting proper reception. I played around with ODIN and installed SM-G935U then SM-G935T again but this time, I updated to 8.0.
After flashing, I cannot make phone calls, cannot receive phone calls, cannot use LTE or mobile data network. Tried with other sim cards but nothing works. Wifi and Bluetooth works fine, everything else works fine in the phone.
Can someone help?

I flashed everything a couple of times.
even Home CSC and CSC (nonhome)
Took it to Samsung customer care, they flashed it a couple of times too.
Still no Network (no calls - outgoing/incoming and no Mobile internet), However sim gets recognised - ATT, Tmobile, lyca, Ultramobile

Should I Install Latest Sm-G935F?
Or if its something else, can you share link?

if the hardware id a G935F, then flash the most current G935F firmware on it, factory reset in recovery afterwards, profit, go have a sammich because you fixed your phone make sure you do this in exactly this order, the last two are optional, but recommended

you can flash any G935 firmware to any G935 device and it will boot as long as the kernel is written for the type of processor you have in your device. If its a snapdragon, any snapdragon G935 tar.md5 will work and boot, likewise with the xynos based tar.md5's. Ive flashed a G935f on a G935V before and it worked fine
