Verizon Note 4, non rooted running stock 5.0.1
Ever since I got my phone (used) I've been having issues with WiFi. At first it started after I use HotSpot couple of times, after I turn it off WiFi seems to be on but either doesn't see any networks, or connects to my router(s) and get's no Internet. Reboot always solves it.
At the same time I usually start having Bluetooth issues (won't connect). Again reboot helps.
Then it started to happen every 2-3 days even when I'm not using HotSpot feature.
Once every blue moon, phone will get stuck in Wireless Charging mode (I have Samsung inductive cover and charger). It will say "now charging wirelessly" when when my phone is miles away from charging base
Again reboot was only remedy.
I did a factory restore and it didn't help a bit.
Lately I started to have USB issues. When I connect Note 4 to my computer via USB cable, it's not detected and phone is not even charging! I thought it was my USB hub (which btw has high current 2.1 A ports) or ports, but after I rebooted phone USB started to work.
Any clues what might be happening? Could it be hardware issue

Well, the issues with this thing are coming in hard and fast now that they've been in use for a couple of months...
2 of my Pro's are having some severe USB connection issues. When connected and ActiveSync on, the USB connection drops out and reconnects every couple of seconds. This goes on until you disconnect the device - causing it to play the USB connection and disconnection sounds constantly.
I think this may be a cable issue, as I tried a non-palm branded USB cable that I got from some chinese guy on ebay and couldnt reproduce the problem on my computer.
Any thoughts? Anyone else had this?

Did you do a hard reset recently. I've had that happen after a hard reset, when the phone was trying to install ActiveSync to the PC & couldn't because there was already an installed version. If that's the case, go to Settings -> System tab -> PC Setup. There are two options: "Setup My PC" & "Synchronize". Make sure it's set to "Synchronize". That should fix it. If not, then I'm not sure what you're experiencing.
I have a stock Verizon S5 that I've had for about a month now. Initially I rooted it using Towelroot, then I unsuspectingly applied the OTA update to NE9 which killed my root. I've decided to just keep the phone unrooted going forward and haven't tried to root it since the NE9 upgrade.
Since upgrading, I've noticed that every time I power up my device, or restart it, the device seems to remain in a hardened state for an indeterminate amount of time. The most obvious symptoms of this include the WiFi and Bluetooth being turned off (but NFC will stay on if it was on before). I've also noticed that if you plug it into a computer, the USB will say it is connected as a media server, and the computer will acknowledge a USB device has connected, but it won't show up in Windows.
If I manually turn on WiFi and Bluetooth, the WiFi will find a network, connect to it and get an IP Address, but then it gets stuck on "Checking the quality of your Internet connection..." This can go on for 10 minutes or more. This means that for however long the phone decides not to connect to the WiFi my phone is using up my cellular data unnecessarily.
Without warning this hardened state will go away and the WiFi and Bluetooth will turn on if they weren't already manually turned on, it will connect to a network, and the USB drives will become accessible.
I was worried this might be an issue with applying the update while rooted. I've Used Odin to flash the NE9 stock ROM on the device. The issue has persisted after the flash. I'm wondering what could possibly be causing this behavior and if it is now worth doing a factory reset to see if that fixes the issue. I'd rather not do that and find out it didn't help because then I'll have to re-setup my phone.
Anyone experienced this, know what's causing it, or if a factory reset might fix the issue? Thanks!
Something I've noticed: while browsing the internet on my z3 while it is charging sometimes the internet connection will drop out. Usually I turn airplane mode on then off and it fixes the problem. However, I have also noticed that when I unplug my phone after the internet connection fails the connection almost immediately comes back up and anything I was trying to load comes up instantly. I have also noticed that if I am using chrome and loading webpages and at the same time plug my phone in to charge the browser will appear to do a back function and the site I was trying to load does not appear at all. I'm using a mag connector if that helps. Anyone else notice this strange behavior?

It may have something to do with the mag charging, I use USB charging and never came across this issue.
I'm using a Magtron Magnector to charge (connected to the original Sony charger) and I've tried both WiFi and cell data, both seem to be fine on mine and it makes no difference if the magnector is connected or not. I'm running stock rom, version 23.0.1.A.5.77 and I'm not rooted or boot loader unlocked. It's also a UK O2 phone if any of that helps.
I noticed that whenever I connect my Nexus 6P to the computer with USB that the wi-fi gets lost after a while. When I disconnect the phone from the computer it takes a while and the phone is back online.
Also when I keep the phone connected to the computer occasionally the wi-fi comes back but gets lost again after a few minutes.
I dont't have any problems with my Nexus 5 (2013) nor with the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini.
Any ideas what might cause that? It's pretty annoying.
Hi all,
I am having trouble connecting my phone to the PC through USB. When I plug it in the PC doesn't do anything, no notifications or pop ups that a device has been connected. The phone itself just goes into charging mode, again with no sign of a USB connection. When I drag down the menu bar it just says charging with no options such as USB connection mode as you would expect. I have tried two different cables and a different PC and it's the same, nothing on the PC to indicate a connection and the phone just entering charging mode. A different Samsung phone (Galaxy S5) connects immediately with the same cable on the same PC, giving the notification and connection option on the phone. I have tried a hard reset/factory reset of the phone but have had no luck. The phone still fast charges as normal using the standard factory charger, so the port on the phone doesn't seem to have any issues that way, but I just can't get the USB to connect.
I bought the phone second hand just over a year ago, when I got it Knox had been triggered and it didn't work with my GearVR due to a software problem (it seems the previous owner was likely a tinkerer who installed a custom ROM). At this time I plugged the phone in and manually re-installed the Stock Samsung Software using Odin to reset the phone to default. Since this time I have used the phone with no issues, everything has run fine. I only realised when I used a friends S7 Edge that my software was out of date, it seems OTA updates don't work on this phone and it still has the software I installed. This led me to try plugging it in again and updating manually and I have only now found this issue with the USB. Do you think this is a hardware problem or possibly software? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
