Hi, I bought my Galaxy S4 9505 about a month ago, everything was great, I later decided to flash a custom ROM.
Something went wrong and i soft bricked my device, I was able to flash the stock ROM later and fix it.
however, I recently found out the after flashing the stock ROM, samsung KIES no longer recognizes my device.
I have installed the device's drivers, and KIES have identified it before I flashed it.
In addition, whenever I try to use samsung HUB, the app crashes immideatly giving an error message: "Mandatory Parameter Not Found (1101)"
Searching for the error, only one result came up where someone flashed his ROM using mobile odin, and it got fixed by reflashing with odin for windows.
Unfortunatly, this is not the case, I originally flashed it with windows odin, and even tried to flash it again, but still the same result.
If anyone can help me that would be great.
Thank you

I live in Israel and bought the phone in israel.
I looked in samfirmware (dot) com
and it seems like there isn't really an Israel firmware, it also says the one I have is of Ireland's
I can guarentee that I9505XXUAMDI was the firmware installed before and after the flashing

Aah i see, you probably don`t have the correct software from the country/region where the phone originated from. You have to find the country where the phone was initialy sold. Look here and typein your imei number http://sndeep.info/en.

Contacting the reseller about it will probably lead to voiding my warranty if I explain why I need to know, or refusing to answer if I don't explain why.
I can try to check out the firmware of some other S4 I9505 of people I know in Israel, hoping it will lead to something.
I still find it very hard to believe that even if the reseller told me where the phone was originally sold, it would turn out to be something different than Ireland.
I can guarentee that I9505XXUAMDI was the version I had before flashing, and I don't see how it could be unless it originated there.
OK, luckily, I still had a CWM recovery from before flashing the new firmware, i restored the backup, and now I know my CSC, my KIES work and samsung HUB as well.
However I now have CWM, and I wish to remove it, from what I know, only by flashing the stock firmware I will be able to remove CWM.
If I flash the firmware I thought was the correct one, I will return to the point where KIES isn't working for me again.
with this info:
PDA: I9505XXUAMDI
CSC: I9505TSIAMD8
which firmware should I flash?
Hi guys
I have run into little problem that I'm hoping learned members here can help me with.
I have a Note 3 SM-9005 that was running Kitkat 4.4.2 and I got it updated to 5.0 from a mobile repair guy. Everything looked smooth until I got home and noticed that now the WiFi does not work anymore. It always stays greyed out and never turns on.
I have tried turning on download booster, smartswitch, nothing helps. I have wiped cache, wipe data / factory reset but that's of no help.
Can you please help me get my WiFi working again.
Many thanks.
Cheers

Wondering if following screenshots are of any help figuring out what's up with the firmware update mishap?

That's the UK version isn't it? Should I just grab that file and use Odin to flash right?
Would it be compatible with my phone which has a UAE version installed currently?
Ok just checked. It looks to be the Phillipines/Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand version. With some of them branded. Not sure which one I should be picking up?
The stock ROM may be slightly different for each country but you can try the latest Singapore version.

Will it trip Knox? As I would be putting a SIN firmware on a XSI (UAE) handset?
Flashing a stock rom will not trip Knox.
Personally, unless there is warranty left on the phone, I wouldn't worry about tripping the Knox counter.

Thanks for your reply.
I have also just noticed that the WiFi hotspot (tethering) doesn't work either.
I downloaded the latest XSI (UAE) firmware and installed it using Odin. But the problem still persists.
Should I try downloading and installing a Singapore firmware?
Is there a possibility that this phone is actually a carrier branded phone and was later debranded and that's why it's having this problem?
Please help life is difficult without Wifi
Does Bluetooth work? It's possible that the phone has a defective wifi chip. I have two galaxy s4 phones that have dead wifi chips but everything else works.
You can try flashinga another country's firmware but not sure if that will help.
Do you have a backup of the efs folder?

Yes the bluetooth works.
The phone's WiFi was working fine before being updated to Lollipop.
No I got it updated from a phone repair guy before I got my hands dirty and put the new firmware my self. So no efs folder backup, unfortunately.
Hmm without knowing what the repair person did to the phone or how the update was performed, it's possible something went wrong during the flash process. Does the phone show the correct imei and MAC address?

He did it in front of me and from memory I can tell that he took a firmware file and used a software (probably Odin) to flash it in download mode.
The phone does show the correct IMEI as written under the battery spot and in device info does show a WiFi mac addresd however I'm unsure how to verify if that may be the correct one.
I have browsed Google and found few other people's posts on different forums who have this exact same problem. Someone suggested that I should reflash the firmware with bootloader checked using Odin.
Do you think it may be of help?
I have just discovered that the serial number on the back of the phone under battery is different from what is reported by the device.
Does this give any hint to what may be the issue?
Does anyone have the AT&T variant ( or a link ) of the stock firmware for the G950U? Also.. could someone please explain how to go about flashing it over? I have a Verizon G950U.. my old Verizon S7 Edge I flashed to the AT&T firmware but it was much simpler... I used odin and just put in the 4 files ( AP, BL, CP, & CSC_ATT ) ... but after reading quite a few threads on here.... it appears to be a much more complicated process with the S8.

please check, odin saids md5 invalid
Rename every file, remove the .md5 off the end.
That's ALWAYS step 1.
2. Use modded Odin
I've flashed it many times with no problem so if you're getting any error it's user error.
Ok, so I flashed the June att firmware sucesfully but when I booted it up, the boot screen still show custom. Anyway to fix this to not show anything like stock att?
nevermind, once rebooted again, it disappeared

Can you pretty please link the latest Revision 2 AT&T G950U Firmware? I cannot seem to find the Revision 2 Dec 20th Updated Release Build. I am pretty sure the build number is G950USQU2BQK5 but I have access to all the other variants on this update just cannot find the damn ATT version. I keep getting errored out writing the G950U1 XAA firmware, the G950U on all other carriers I get errors on it as well. I tried using Odin Comsy, Odin 3.12.7, 3.12.3 patched 256 version, 3.12.7, and even using the Z3X Samsung Tool Pro to reflash the firmware. I got one to finally take using all 5 files on G950U TMB but now the baseband is unknown and I cannot see the IMEI either. Anyone have any suggestions, I would highly appreciate that....
Flash QK5. It's for all carriers and installs proper carrier files and settings depending on the SIM you have installed. Use Prince Comsy Odin.

Me too, after latest OTA.
I made these ODIN Flashable Firmware and Modem files for myself. And figured I'd share them here for anyone wanting to upgrade their phone without having to download the entire ROM!
**** Warning!!! FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! XDA or I am not Responsible for ANY Destruction!! ****
Install Directions:
The procedure I use to install these is, In Odin Untick 'AutoReboot', then load Modem file into AP slot, Flash! When complete, Pull battery for 5 sec. Then REBOOT into Download Mode Again.
Then in Odin, load Firmware file into AP slot, Flash! When Complete, REBOOT!
Done!
N910T ONLY!!
Firmware/Bootloader:
Firmware-N910TUVS2EQE2-Firmware.tar.md5
Modem/Baseband:
Modem-N910TUVS2EQE2-Modem.tar.md5
N910T3 ONLY!!
Firmware/Bootloader:
Firmware-N910T3UVS3EQE2-Firmware.tar.md5
Modem/Baseband:
Modem-N910T3UVS3EQE2-Modem.tar.md5
Enjoy!!
They are for t or t3?
Thanks
Edit. I think they are for t only. Could you upload for t3 or explain which files to use? Can I just extract from official fimware and flash the .bin in odin? If yes, which files should I extract?

Im a little unsure about your question, so ill try to answer best I can.
Yes this can be flashed with any rom, rom doesnt matter, this is flashed in Odin! It updates your Bootloader and Modem! BUT you must pay attention to what your ROM states. Some ROMS dont work Good with certain Firmware.
About the baseband, This would update it.
Since Im new to the N910T model, Im unsure about the downgrade procedure. So You might want to check that your model can be downgraded back to DOK2 once you update. Just in case your rom dont play nice with new Firmware!!
Hope this answered your question! I added install directions to OP

I would highly recommend you start a new thread for this, there are many reasons why a phone could be doing this and you need
to provide more information, like what happened before the phone was restarted, did you have a stock rom or a custom rom, were you trying to flash anything when it started restating, were you rooted, can you boot into recovery or download mode...all these things factor but like I said I would definitively start a new thread because your hijacking someone Else's and it has nothing to do with the topic.

Yes bud, you'd get better responses making your own post in question area. As I'm not on here a lot. And only people visiting this thread are few to download this link. I just seen your post.
But since I am here I'll try my best to answer you.
Judging by your post, I'm gonna assume your were on pure stock and took an Ota that went bad? Correct?
2. If you used Odin, and noticed you didn't mention getting errors.
So it leads me to ask are you using this firmware here, because this isn't the complete rom. And that's what you want!
Let me know if this is correct? Plus explain more detail? Model T or T3? Last update you were on and file you tried flashing?
And I'll help you get correct file and such.
EQE2 Modem only on DOK2 base 5.1.1 Rom?
Anyone flash just the Modem as per my title over top a Lollipop build and get any better reception or otherwise results or is this a big no go?
There are new firmware and modem QG1, hope they can be uploaded.-

Hello guys, I have just now heard that At&T is rolling out the Android Pie update to the S8 Active. Unfortunately, I do not have a AT&T SIM card on my device currently. This causes my phone to not get ANY updates. The only update I last got was when I sent my phone to a Samsung Technician after I bricked my phone from failed root attempts. I am currently in Android 8.0.0. Is there any way to flash any Pie firmware to my phone even though it is Bootloader v3? Any help is GREATLY appreciated as I am getting so tired of Oreo. I tried using Smart Switch but it says my phone is in the latest firmware update which is a lie, my security patch level is July 2018...
Edit: I have recently unlocked my phone from AT&T in hopes of getting an update, but I didn't know the firmware would stay. And no, I do not have ANY access to AT&T SIM cards or stores.
Edit 2: Solved! I just used a firmware download I got from this forum because sammobile.com did not have it here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bw-cYNY1KoEH4Pa-a9dJRQJW09r_uw93/view Just flash this firmware to your phone from Odin! This does not risk breaking or voiding your warranty if you still have one! I am enjoying Pie right now! Give thanks to the who supplied me with the firmware link and youdoofus who actually responded to me. I just wanted to be assured that the firmware that is Pie will be good for my device. This is for people who do not have ATT SIM on their phone or cannot receive update. Model number must be from ATT and SM-G892A!

the problem youre going to run into is the availability of firmwares for your phone. sammobile.com/firmwares was a bust, looking elsewhere for ya. But if you have a computer, usb type-c cable Odin and the correct firmware version and are able to get to download mode, then you should be in good shape.
So I have a firmware at hand with my phone model that is pie, if I update it through Odin, will it void my warranty? Or will there be any chance it will brick my phone because I have done this many times. If it wasn't for ATT bootloader v3 I would've not been asking all these questions. I have already used sammobile.

Some tips before flashing? Did you flash every file on the .zip archive? (BL_ , AP_ , CSC and so?)
Factory reset before/after flashing?

Since its just an update, you are able to keep your data if you put HOME_CSC in the bottom box. So, yes use every file if you want to keep your data. If not, put CSC where its supposed to be and thats it. I don't have access to my computer but thats what I did. You don't need factory reset. Just go to any "How to Install Any Firmware Update through Odin" Video on YouTube and you should see a good tutorial. It is just an update. I hope I fixed you problem! Don't be nervous about updating, only be nervous when you flash a ROM on it!

nothing other than having the correct version of Odin for your phone and ADB drivers installed along with the correct firmware files. And yes the Home_CSC is to not factory reset, and the regular CSC is to factory reset it
PIT Error
I tried flashing the files you provided, but it keeps failing on "Get PIT for Mapping". I tried 4 times and every one failed on the same part. I am on the exact same baseband version you were on, the provider is AT&T and the phone is unlocked. I don't get what the problem is...

you need to go into the CSC file and extract the PIT. once extracted, go into the other options in Odin and put the pit in its slot, then reflash with the CSC you got the PIT from in its proper place along with the others.

The CSC is just a compressed file, so WinRAR will do it if 7zip doesnt

I did that but it didn't change anything. Do I need to remove the pit file from the CSC file?
