I have flash the CM10.1 rom ([ROM][JB 4.2.2][CM10.1] for Lenovo Ideapad K1 Wifi) for IdeaPad K1 by Nvflash and after reboot I have done as step below from step 5-8 and then go to recovery mode. And I have tried to do for step 9 by tried to select by move "Vol +/-" down to "Install Zip" and then tried select it by press "power" but can't. Because after press "power" the selector will go to first row"reboot system now". Look like I can't do anything because after press "power" it will back to first row "reboot system now" and can't selected.
5. Go to settings, Developer options and select Advanced reboot
7. connect your tablet to the pc and save gapps on your sd card. Or download gapps via liink.
8. Go in Recovery via long press of Power, and select "Reboot" then "Recovery"
9. Flash the gapps package that you downloaded in step 1.
Please help to advice, How I can select "install Zip" to install Gapps?

You need to install Gapps while in Recovery.
Go into recovery.
Install ROM
Install gapps
Then
reboot out of recovery.
Make sure you have the gapps for 10.1

you will then boot in recovery,...
use "power botton" to enter recovery..
"volume down" to scroll through the recovery options,,,
and "volume up" to select the options to update from sd card and select the file (ext sd card will do the work)
jst take care to use the right bottons as i mentioned
what is the best to root for note 4 n910p? tia
A (very) shortened installation guide
Hello!
Due it's recommended to root Samsungs phones via a custom recovery system, I'd suggest you TWRP. It has an easy understandable and touchable userinterface. Here's the proper flashable TWRP file for your device. In addition to that, Here's an step to step guide explaining how to install TWRP.
As Superuser app (the actual root you want to install) I'd suggest Magisk. I'm using it for almost an year now and it works perfectly for me.
Although there's an installation guide for Magisk on the site I linked to, here's a short installation guide specific for TWRP
Enter TWRP by powering your device off and powering it on again but with the home button, volume up and the power button pressed at the same time until there's a "Booting to recovery..." in blue letters in the uppern left corner of your screen.
Next, tap "Install" and select the Magisk file you downloaded and placed on your device before booting into TWRP
After that, swipe the "Swipe to confirm flash" to the right and wait for the flashing process to finish
When it's complete, tap "Wipe Cache/Dalvik" and tap "Reboot System"
I attached some screenshots for some extra help. Please ignore the selected file and the file name shown in the screenshots - the Magisk file has a different name.
Also note that rebooting the device after a flashing process can take up to ten minutes - that's normal behavior.
If you've got any further question, feel free to ask them.
Hi guys,
first of all i may apologize for my school-engl. and let you know i am really new in the world of roots.
My goal was to flash magisk in the custom recovery mode of twrp. So after about 3h research i flashed twrp with odin, everything worked like described in my intructions (cant post links here yet, it was from android gadgethacks) and root checker confirmed the root.
Now in all the instructions i have read, i am told to reboot in the recovery mode and see the new modificated "custom recovery"-menu where i can flash the magisk.zip in the intall-section.
I dont. Its rebooting in the original recovery mode, where i havent the possibility to flash anything, right?
In my desperation i tried to flash it in the intall section of twrp manager but that didnt work. Magisk Manager doesnt confirm that magisk is installed.
someone here has experience with that missing twrp-recovery-menu or another idea how i could install magisk on my rooted s5neo? Thanks in advance

I'm new to root as well, but I just rooted my own S5 Neo (which is why I saw your post while searching for information), so I'm a couple of weeks ahead of you.
I'm a little unclear why after flashing TWRP you say the root check confirmed root. My understanding is that TWRP alone won't root the phone.
You may have already figured this out, but here's what I needed to do to install TWRP and Magisk. The issue for me was that auto-reboot from ODIN was allowing the phone to clear TWRP before it was installed. I'm not sure what your issue is, but there is one possibility I note below.
My successful procedure follows (ask for clarification if I gloss over something you don't understand). Others should feel free to correct any mistakes I write, since I'm no expert and I'm writing from memory:
1) Download the Magisk ZIP to your phone, so it will be available when needed.
2) Ensure your phone is set for OEM Unlock (via the Settings/Developer Options setting menu, which is only shown after you activate it by going to Settings/About Phone/Software Information and tapping Build number 7 times).
3) Download the TWRP *.img.tar file to your PC. Make sure it was made for your model phone.
4) Start ODIN on your PC, and use the AP button to load the TWRP *.img.tar file. Wait for ODIN to finish checking it.
5) In ODIN's Options tab, unselect "auto reboot", so your phone won't reboot when done.
6) Turn off your phone, then boot into Download mode (vol_down+home+power button) and confirm with vol_up button.
7) Now connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable and confirm that the "Added!" message shows in ODIN.
8) Click Start in ODIN to flash TWRP to your phone. Wait for the top left to show a green PASS message.
9) At this point, your phone is connected and still in Download mode. Detach the cable and hold Vol_down+power until your phone shuts off (maybe 10-20 sec).
10) Boot into Recovery mode (vol_up+home+power). The phone should now be installing TWRP. Wait until it finishes and then shows something.
11) My memory here is fuzzy. I don't recall whether TWRP immediately shows now, or if the phone boots normally, or it asks you whether to boot or shutdown, so here are five possible routes:
11a) If the phone shows the TWRP window, go to step 12. I think this is what should happen.
11b) If the phone shuts off, boot into Recovery mode again. This should now be TWRP, so go to 12.
11c) If the phone boots normally, shut it off and boot into Recovery mode. This should now be TWRP, so go to 12.
11d) If the phone asks you what to do, select power off and then boot into Recovery mode. This should now be TWRP, so go to 12.
11e) If booting into Recovery doesn't show TWRP, then something is not quite right with my instructions, or how you followed them, so come back here with the results.
12) Here's where your issue may be. TWRP is installed temporarily by default, and restarting the phone will overwrite it. During this temporary time, you can immediately flash a Zip, then reboot and get your original stock recovery back. You may have restarted the phone without realizing this, which then overwrote TWRP. So you need to decide whether your want it temporarily to flash Magisk, or keep it permanent for other uses (like making Nandroid backups). To make the choice, TWRP asks you whether your want to "Keep Read Only" mode (temporary) or not (permanent).
13) If TWRP is temporary, you need to install Magisk now before rebooting. If it's permanent, you can reboot and do it later. In the TWRP menu, tap Install. Navigate to the location where you placed the Magisk ZIP. If you don't see it, look at the lower right button. If it says "Install Image", it should be showing available Zips. If it says "Install Zip", then it's showing images, so tap it to show Zips.
14) Select the Magisk Zip and it should be installed. Go back to the main TWRP menus and tap Reboot, then System to restart your phone.
15) Look in your Apps for the Magisk Manager. It should have been installed from the Zip. Open it and check that "Installed Version" has a green check. That should be it.
This is a much easier way to flash a new recovery and custom roms. Besides using a PC / USB cable for unlocking the bootloader, all the process can be done straight from your device.
IMPORTANT: This procedure is only valid for LG G6 H872. Other G6 variants will end up bricked. All partitions will be wiped, this means that all the files needed must be saved to your external SD. It’s been tested with 20g firmware.
Prerequisites:
LG G6 device with original Oreo 20g firmware and fully charged
External SD card
Download and install su98.apk, Root Checker and Flashify
Download this specific TWRP version and save it to your external SD
Download Magisk and save it to your external SD
(Optional) Download latest TWRP to flash A10+ custom roms and save it to your external SD
0. Backup everything
1. Unlock your bootloader, otherwise you will brick your device. You can follow this guide.
2. Disable Google Play Protect (from PlayStore) or you won't be able to go on with the next step
3. Install su98.apk, open it and tap INSTALL NOW (leave the checkbox blank)
4. Install Root Checker and open it to verify that your device is rooted
5. Install Flashify and open it to flash TWRP (recovery_h872_20180813-1.img)
6. Turn off the phone (at this point, if the phone boots to Android you will have to start over from step 3).
7. Reboot into recovery (press and hold Volume Down and Power buttons together for a few seconds. When the LG logo appears, release the Power button while keep pressing the Volume Down and then press the Power button once more. Once you see a white screen, use Volume keys to choose "Yes" and Power button to select the option, you will have to press “Yes” twice).
8. Once in TWRP (be patient, takes some time to load) a “decrypt data” legend will appear. Press cancel. Then swype to allow system modifications. After that, go to Wipe / Format data and confirm by typing yes.
You are now able to flash any Stock ZIP (not KDZ). If this is your choice, remember to flash Magisk after flashing the ROM. If you want to flash any other custom ROM, jump to the next step.
9. Still in TWRP, flash Magisk to keep your device rooted
10. Flash the latest TWRP. Go to reboot options and tap Recovery
11. Once in the new TWRP, wipe system, data, dalvik, cache
12. Flash Rom + Gapps + Magisk and reboot to system

Special thanks to Man Stevo for sharing this!!
LG G6 H872 back to stock Oreo 20g
IMPORTANT: All partitions will be wiped, this means that you must backup everything otherwise you’ll lose everything stored in the phone.
Prerequisites:
LG G6 device fully charged
USB cable
LG Mobile driver installed
Patched LG UP installed in the right folder (otherwise your device will not be recognized)
LG G6 H872 latest Oreo firmware (20g)
0. Backup everything.
1. We are going to flash this using the patched LG UP. Place the files in C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP. You can't just unzip it anywhere and run it, it will not find the model file.
2. Boot to download mode (power off your Phone. Plug one end of the USB cable to PC and while holding the Volume Up button connect the other end of the cable to your device. Release the Volume button once the device boots into Download Mode. To exit the Download Mode, press and hold the Power button until the device reboots)
3. Open LG UP and wait until the device model is recognized. Then choose partition DL
4. Pick the H872 20g KDZ and click start / ok
5. You’ll now get a list of partitions to flash, check them all and click start / ok
6. You may get a warning about additional modified partitions. Ignore it, and click ok
7. When the process is finished, the device will reboot
If the progress bar reached 100% and the device got stuck in the pink bootanimation, follow these steps:
Unplug the device and turn it off by holding Volume Down + Power (keep holding them down until it turns off)
Once the device is off, press and hold Volume Down and Power buttons together for a few seconds. When the LG logo appears, release the Power button while keep pressing the Volume Down and then press the Power button once more. Once you see a white screen, use Volume keys to choose "Yes" and Power button to select the option, you will have to press “Yes” twice.
The phone will now restore factory defaults and reboot to system
IMPORTANT
In case camera crashes when opening or you get an IMS error, you'll have to flash H87211h_00_0406.kdz (same procedure as above from step 0 to 7, just changing step 4 where you need to pick H872 11h KDZ), reboot to system (until you finish the initial wizard) and then flash H87220g_00_1228.kdz (again, same procedure from step 0 to 7).

Works like a charm. Thanks
FYI, Going back to full working stock need to return to Android 7 firmware 1st (H87211h_00_0406.kdz); otherwise, you will get camera and IMS error.
Questions:
Does SkyHawk Recovery support stock firmware as TWRP can't backup and restore stock properly.

Worked here when getting back straight to stock 20g, but good to know for those with issues.
I didn't test any custom recovery to backup stock, so I don't know about that.
Thanks for reporting!
Has anyone else used this recently? I cannot get the phone to boot to recovery at step 7. I've tried:
1) press vol- and pwr until the LG logo appears, release power, and press it once more
2) same as 1) above, but pressing power button multiple times to get through the "your phone can't be checked for security stuff" warning
Both times, it just boots straight to Android.
EDIT: Using adb reboot recovery worked!
Yeah, it works @zolotiyeruki
Check the vídeo in the first post for more details with the whole procedure.

To follow up on this, I believe it's flagged because it is the exploit to get root that is seeing.
So it seems it's getting recognized by the anti-virus correctly and it's the desired functionality of the .apk.
(Anyone feel free to chime in to correct this if it's inaccurate.)

Download latest Magisk APK, rename it to ZIP and flash it through TWRP.
