So I have an oddity that has been true with both of my Nexus 6p's. When my wife calls me from her work, the call shows up as "Private Number". If she calls anyone else, the proper number shows on their caller ID. If I put my sim back into my old Moto X or my Galaxy Nexus, the proper number shows on my caller ID. This is something odd with the 6p. Does anyone have any clue where to start? I'm on Verizon

Hi,
In normal mobile phones when you receive a diverted call you see on the screen an arroe preceding the caller id to alert you that the caller is calling your diverted phone number and not your sim number.
In the I-mate pocket pc i do not see such indication.
any solution for that ???
Tks/regards

No solution for this?
hello,
I'm using a HTC Kaiser with a WM 6.1 rom.
Sometimes I forward a normal wired telephone number via the isdn forwarding feature ( i active this using *21*numertoforwardto# on my wired telephone here in germany) to forward incoming calls to my mobile.
When now someone calls my wired number the call is forwarded to my cellular phone, and the real caller ID is displayed (so not the id of my number I forwarded from). I think this is because it is forwarded by my provider when I use the ISDN feature and not by my phone.
My old mobile (sony ericson W810i) showed a message when a forwarded call was received(while also displaying the real caller id), which indicates, that something in the gsm or umts protocol tells the phone that it is a forwarded call. As I want to be able to distinguish if the call I receive is forwarded or not on my new phone, too, I want to know, if there is a way or tool to either display a message when I receive a forwarded call or assign another ringtone to it on my HTC Kaiser?

Did you ever find a solution? Same issue here!
Hello, I'm writing in the hope that you've found a solution to your forwarded call problem. On my old phone, a Sony Treo 650, the phone could distinguish between forwarded and original calls and I could answer them appropriately.
On my blackberry 8900, there is a brief flash on the screen that distinguishes a forwarded call, but neither the blackberry programmers nor my tmobile carrier can tell me how to generate a separate ring tone for such calls.
If you found a work-around, I'd be grateful (as would thousands of others with an identical need) for some advice.
My name's Ed. Hope to hear from you.
Kind regards.
I'm also writing in hope that you have found something to identify the forwarded call.
It does not show on mt HTC Glacier froyo 2.21. Neithet T-mobile or HTC were helpful.
FYI, I have tested it on some other phones:
Samsung Galaxy S (T-mobile) not rooted stock 2.1 shows "Forwaded Call" in a separate green window, only briefely then goes out while showing the caller number.
Other older phones like Nokia E71 also show a broken arrow for forwarded calls.
Nexus S (that is made by Samsung) stock 2.21 and some blackberries I tested did not show.
I am a newbie and so far I have found out that this function is part of the "telephony" that supposedly the manufacturer puts on the phone.
There are Several other treads in this forum under Diverted or forwarded calls, mostly asking for help. One had a reference to Windows Mobile that supposedly works but it's no help for the android.

Warren
Hey everyone,
my Axon seems to hide my phone number by default when I call other people.
I know that the phone is responsible for this because:
1. others can see my number when I call them with my old phone
and
2. when I put *31# in front of a number to basically override the phones setting the person I'm calling will see that it's me.
I feel like there is no setting to change the caller ID option in my Axon. At least it's not where it normally is (Call Settings, Additional Settings).
Does anyone have a similar problem or even better, a solution?
I asked about this on ZTE`s forum and never received a reply.
Okay, that's interesting.
I wonder why no one in the Axon 7 section talks about this issue. There should be more people with the same problem.
This is generally a carrier setting problem not a phone problem.
For T- Mobile not sure about ATT.
*67DN Activate Calling Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) for outgoing call
*82DN Deactivate Activate Calling Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) for outgoing call
In this case I know that it is not a carrier problem because I've tested it.
It might be worth mentioning that I own the European model and that I live in Germany.
Same for me, Europen Version and I live in Germany. Provider is O2. Switched from my HTC M8 to the Axon 7, had no hidden caller ID whatsoever on the M8.
Kind of annoying and I can't find anything to switch it off.
Anyone else has the same problem?

I live in France and my provider is Free Mobile.
The caller ID works for me.
My Axon 7 is a 2017G model with B05 firmware.
I've got news:
After dialing the gsm code #31# the phone is no longer automatically hiding my number. The strange thing is that this code is supposed to do something completely different: hide the number for the next call.
This still works after restarting the phone but after updating the software (bo5 to b06) I had to dial the code again which means that this method is only a temporary fix and this is something the ZTE devs have to look into.
Same here in Spain
I suscribe all your comments ace.infinity.
I'm in Spain, my carrier is Oceans. I'm in last build and with code *31# my name appears, I have to use it in all calls to be visible.
No solution found by the moment.

It is the phone setting itself that is now hidden from thre user menu that is actually hiding the number!
I was able to modify my caller ID setting by opening the phone app > menu> setting > call setting> SIM 1 or 2> additional setting.
Hi all,
Just got my G6 H870DS recently.
When I call people, they don't see my number so I show up as an unknown caller.
I have been to the caller setting and set my caller ID to always show and it doesn't fix the problem.
I didn't change SIM card or phone carrier when changing phone and it was working fine on the LG G3.
This is only when making an international call.
Local calls display my number.
Anyone else having this problem?
Anyone know how to fix this issue?
Thank you
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Huawei p9 lite with EliteTWRP and Validus ROM.
My EMEI is correct.
When I try to call someone with the phone the call instantly ends with "call ended".
The SIM works fine on other devices, on my device SMS and Mobile Data works too, but no calls.
The call still gets through and when the other person accepts the call it's just an empty call.
On the carrier list after "search carriers" it only shows other carriers, not mine, but it still shows my carrier as
the registered carrier somehow. I tried restarting, removing and putting in the SIM and other phone apps.
When the other person has answered the call and is speaking I can sometimes hear a short fractal of a second long
the other persons voice before it then ends.
What could the problem be?
I have the exact same problem and can't find a solution
