I haven't been able to find any other posts on this, so if this question has already been answered, I apologize.
Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I can't find a way to link the ringtone and notification volumes on my S4. This feature has been present in every other android phone I've ever used, so I can't imagine Samsung would choose to omit it. Does anyone have any insight on this?
*bump*
Anyone?
Use master volume is disabled in the framework-res.apk

Why would they do that?
Same reason they disabled home and lock screen rotation

And wallpaper scrolling. They're the worst.

Have people done this yet? I am using the GOLDENEYE ROM and would love to have these volumes linked up. I decompiled framework-res.apk, but I have no idea which file to add this option to.

download an Oppo stock ROM.
go into the zip and copy /media/audio in your oppo.
too easy don't need a zip
Here you are.
Hey guys,
I made this installation zip for everyone who likes the iOS sounds, like the lock or unlock sound.
When you install this zip you can expect the following:
Camera sounds
Video Record sounds
Lock/Unlock sounds
All of the iOS notification sounds
Enjoy!
Download iOS 7 v2
Old versions:
iOS 6
iOS 7 v1
Revert zip
Great work! Can you please do a revert file as well? Thanks

Flashed the sound mod but nothing changed I don't even seen the files on my phone from the file

Worked great. Thanks op. Anyway you can do the keyboard sounds as well?
Correction... The lock and unlock sounds worked... But the notifications didn't flash. I had to extract and install manually
Edit 2... After extracting and installing the audio notifications, I made sure permissions were 0644 (rw,r,r) and rebooted. They still don't show up in sound settings.

My fault, it's probably because the notifications are .mp3 files, and not .ogg . I'll look into that, and convert the mp3's to .ogg files!
Edit; fixed the notifications not showing up in the select menu and also fixed a script error in the restore .zip.
So we can redownload the file

Okay, since people are interested, i'll make a iOS 7 version!
does this overwrite or just give us the option to choose the sounds when we want to use them?

Thanks. Makes sense, since those aren't user selectable.

Haha I totally agree, but I thought some people would like to have the iOS sounds on their Android phones!
Update on iOS7 version; I achieved the iOS7 sounds in .M4A from my sister's jailbroken iPad mini. Not sure if I have to convert those to .OGG's to get them working, but i'll look into that tomorrow, since I have a lot of homework to do today.

Yeah bro. Use an online converter to make them .ogg files. It will take u no time. Thanks for doing this. I love ios7 sounds, icons, and animations. Just hate everything else from the iTunes, to the lack of customization options, to not having an app drawer.

They go in Ringtones folder and Notifications folder. Once you put the sounds in those folders they will show up when you go to change them in settings.
Yep... All the Samsung tones are on Zedge

I'm using handcent with light manager and am unable to get notifications when I receive a MMS text.. Regular texts work just fine.. Any ideas?
Thank you
Kyle
I'm sure you did this but there are separate notifications in light manager. One for SMS and one for MMS. Did you activate a set color for MMS? It works fine for me with stock message app.
Maybe email the dev and attach a log..

Always makes me really happy when I write a developer about an app I'm having trouble with and they respond quick and fix the issue. That's a good dev. Wish everyone was like that. Unfortunately they aren't all but I sure like when it does happy. Glad you got it resolved. ?
