firmware update.

hello everyone. my phone is huawei p8 lite (ALE-L21C30B121)
so, for example, china releases android 6.0 beta, I see alot of posts about it, with steps, guides and all...
but I was wondering, if I want to install that ROM (android 6.0) can I install it directly from B121 to B5xx?
if not, how do I upgrade/downgrade from B121 to Bxxx, so I can make the B5xx update?
another question was - is it restricted to regions? I mean the "C30" it stands for Latvia, as I live in europe, and I have an europian P8 lite.
if yes, how can I change the "C30" to "C432" or other region, that has the official update?

Single sim to Dual sim B575

Good Morning,
I have an issue for the expert, I have P8 lite with B575 single sim and I'd like to change it in dual sim.
the question is: Can I flash B574 ROM on my phone which is already running B575 ?
Phone details:
Model nr ALE-L21
Serial. ALE-L21C432B575
EMUI VER. 4.0
OS. ANDROID 6.0

first of all,you need to unlock bootloader,and then flash by fastboot this firmware:
Ale-L21C432B052

when is done,reboot phone,now flash this firmware by fastboot:
Ale-L21C432B132 http://www.carbontesla.com/2015/09/download-huawei-p8-lite-b132-firmware-dual-sim/ (download and extract,you will find a folder dload,now use huawei update extractor to extract this files:boot,cust,recovery and system)
Now you need to make local update with this firmware

At the end your phone will end up with build number Ale-L21C432B170,now open HiCare app from phone,update to last version,and then HiCare app will tale you there is an update to Ale-L21C432B574

in order to fix Balong error you must flash again those 4 files from Ale-L21C432B132,once is done,reboot your phone,now download this

extract and rename that folder to dload,putt in to your memory phone and make a local update,once is done check an see if your build number is Ale-L21C432B132,do the same with firmware Ale-L21C432B170 and make local update

You can't use this files,you will brick your phone, please search for PRA-LX1 in XDA forum's

Hi, I am now on B170 with Dual sim enabled, but no OTA update to B574, I tried to install B574 manually via update.zip - local update, but failed. Could someone help me please ? Thank you.

This phone is new... It's probably branded by a French operator (Bouygues).

VNS-L31 is the model number of the phone, Cxxx is the region and Bxx is the firmware version.
To obtain the stock recovery, use Huawei extractor to get it from the UPDATE.APP. To obtain the UPDATE.APP, you need to download the firmware related to your phone, ie. VNS-L31C530B130. Simply unpack the update.zip, you'll see the UPDATE.APP in it. Hope this helps

If I find a Rom B130 from another region, will this recovery be ok with my C530 region? I just found a C432 region...
I think that it's not possible to extract my stock Recovery from my phone.

Whether the region matters or not depends on if your device (carrier) is region locked...

VNS - Phone name, I believe the codename is Venus
L31 - denotes the 3GB RAM version (L21 is 2GB, there are also L23 but they are only available in certain regions and I'm not sure about them)
CXXX - Region, C432 is the global, probably the best you can have
BYYY - Firmware number, B161 is the latest, those starting with B3YY are Nougat builds

Hi guys,
There's an offer from aliexpress for the P9 Lite but from the feedbacks, the phone is coming with a chinese firmware. Well, you can set the language you want but some people say it still has some chinese stuff.

I've made some search and came with a tutorial with dload and just an sdcard with the content of the new ROM. Is it just simple as that ? Will it erase every chinese stuff and put Google Play Store ?

First, which model is it? There are some particular chinese model that have a different chipset so it may be incompatible with international firmware.

Yes you should be able to do it. I don't have the link at the moment, but if you search Huawei Firmware Finder you can find a tool to search all Huawei firmware. The European ROM is c432 and the international one is the c900

Theorically if he flashes c432 oeminfo it should work.
The AL00 version is a different phone with a snapdragon chipset so be very careful.

No. You can't . Different hardware. You may brick your device.

I have a P9 Lite VNS-L31 with build VNS-L31C432B160, EMEUI 4.1.1, Android 6.0.
For some reasons, the update menu tells me that there is no update for my phone.
I know this is not true because I can see people on the same P9 Lite with EMUI 5.x, so my question is the following, is there a way to find and flash the latest stock ROM available for my phone ?
(I used to have Samsung mobiles and look at samfirmwares websites to find my stock ROMs)

Nope, I switched to this version to enable dual sim on my single sim phone.
But I don't need dual SIM anymore, and just would like to have the latest official version available.

You must flash oeminfo for single sim and install VNS-L31C432B161 .
