Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and quite a lot happy to be a part of XDA:laugh:
So here is my problem...
I have a Nexus 7 2012 and I do various experiments on my tablet like hacking through softwares and installing custom roms and all but I dont do any kind of modding
I had previously installed SlimKat custom rom 4.4.4 but after sometime it gave me some errors which I wanted to eliminate and so I decided that I would flash the stock rom
I used the Nexus Root Toolkit but it did not help. It gave me unwanted errors
I mean the first 7 to 8 times I flashed the Rom it gave me no error but my nesus would was always stuck in boot loop
I tried every available method to remove the bootloop situation but now I am totally hopeless(98%)
the rest 2% hope depends to situations : Whether the developers would provide me other usefull information or I would send it to a shop
These Things I should let you know before you provide a solution:
1. I have tried flashing from both methods , i.e, the root toolkit method and through the SDK method
2. even in the root toolkit i have tried it by both softbricked condition and normal condition
3. Right now my main problem is that everytime it tries to flash the rom the cmd says some kind of failiures like No such device or address and Invalid Argument and all
4. Methods like changing the ports or using another cable, I have tried already
Thank You in Advance, brothers:good:

Well I used TWRP to install a boot.img for my Nexus 7. Turns out I downloaded the wrong file, and now I can't get my device past the Google Screen after I rebooted it.
So far I've downloaded another boot.img and tried using that to solve my problem, that didn't work; it would end up stuck on bootloader screen frozen or saying "booting modified img"
I've used almost every recommended solution on Nexus Toolkit and all of them did nothing to help, Including downloading stock images, Restoring stock kernel, etc.
I don't know if perhaps I could have the build number wrong for the toolkit, but I'm not able to see what build it currently is since I can't get pass the google logo. I've done almost everything and now I am completely clueless as to what I can do to fix this. Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Had a similar prob the other days and i solve it fro here

Post number 8 helped me because wugs toolkit has an option to return stock on a bricked device...
Stop relying on toolkits and learn to use fastboot and adb. It helps tremendously when you are having problems. It also prevents you from just getting clicky and selecting every option in hope that something fixes it. Follow the directions in the sticky on flashing a factory ROM/return to stock. It has all the information you need to fix your problem.
Sent from my Nexus 7(2012) that has zero issues.
There is nothing that I can find that pertains to problems with installing Kitkat factory image 4.4 on my nexus 4 so I will state my problem with the hope of some insight.
I have a Nexus 4 that I have decided to sell and as a precautionary measure had decided to flash a fresh copy of Android version 4.3 last week to ensure all files were deleted. I used Nexus root toolkit and all went smoothly.
As the phone has not yet sold, I decided that I would update the currently OS to the latest version 4.4 kitkat to make it more appealing to buyers so I went back to Nexus Root Toolkit and went through the standard procedure of selecting my device and OS, etc. The phone is unlocked. I had no backup and went ahead and told the software to write over version 4.3 with 4.4. I thought all was going well, but the install was too short and didn't work with a message telling my to try "Force Flash" mode. So I tried again using force flash mode and this time the install took longer and the phone rebooted multiple times, only this time the phone wouldn't fully boot. It only boot loops now.
-I can put the phone into fastboot mode.
-The computer can communicate with the phone via USB cable.
-All info such as product name, variant, HW version, etc. is showing in fastboot mode.
I am unable to use Nexus Root Toolkit to fix my phone with or without using Force Flash mode.
I can't mount the phone and the computer can not detect the ADB at all.
Can anyone please tell me what I can do to fix my phone? Are there any other alternatives to flashing a fully functioning version of 4.4 Kitkat?
I have been at this for hours and I can seem to get anywhere with it. Is the phone destroyed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hey the flash-all.bat worked !!!! .. I just waited for like 15 mins after the flash-all.bat was done and viola! its back
This is great find
Those who face this issue can go to safe mode and backup their data while on boot screen just keep pressing up and down volume button for some time phone will get into safe mode and can be backed up.
I'm hoping someone can help here.
I was having issues with my nexus 10 for the last decade with the wifi so I decided to try the new android 6 that Google decided not to provide it to nexus 10 users.
While I was doing it somehow I did something wrong even though I tried my best to follow he steps. And now I have the load up sign 'Google' and it won't go passed it no matter how many times I restart it. What makes it worst I deleted the backup I did with the TeamWin recovery app.
Is there a way I can reload the original rom to the nexus 10? If not can I download it online or do anything to fix this issue?
Would really appreciate any help. Thanks.
If i understand it right you´r looking for factory images
or you can use a Toolkit (for example) and use.
flash stock + unroot
softbricke/Bootloop
Both methods should install the official rom for Nexus 10
the secon one is a little easier
Hi XDA Community!
I can find information to about almost single topic, but the big problem is, i dont know where exactly to start with and the correct order of all of these steps.
What i wanna do is, like on a pc, format the whole phone, delete everything and set up a custom rom and root the phone.
My first step was trying to root it because i dont know if the root is related to the OS or to the phone kernel.....
I tried the CF-Autoroot procedure from XDA-Forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219803 but i experience the same issue as many other users. When i click start the process starts, but gets stuck immediately when it comes to the imaging step. Then i get no response from my phone or Odin anymore, the bar wont process for hours.
I tried different USB ports, same result. But i can exchange data from phone OS to pc via USB without problems !
So im kind of thrown back now and i dont know what to do or where to start. Can anyone help me ?
5 Years ago i cooked a rom for my Sony Xperia X1 and put it on my phone without any problems lol, and now with Samsung i get only problems.....
If you want to put a custom ROM on it you only need to flash a custom recovery.
This can be done, also, with Odin.
The only other steps are with ADB or root.
TWRP have install instructions (for all methods) on their site.
One important thing is that you also have to take your device model into consideration. Some models (AT&T & Verizon) have locked bootloaders, which make the whole process of rooting and flashing a pain in the butt.

My phone is NOT locked. But my question was the correct ORDER of these things to do. Please read my question carefully. What I do first and what comes next ? I also want to root my phone for full acess

I read it and I told you.
If you want to put a custom ROM on it, you have to flash a custom recovery First!
Recovery and root are two independent things. The only reason to root first would be if you want to backup your apps and data of your current ROM.
Custom ROMs are pre-rooted
Otherwise flash a custom recovery, put the ROM zip on your microSD card, boot into recovery, wipe the phone, flash the ROM.
And don't forget about gapps.
Since you said you've already flashed ROMs before, this shouldn't be anything different from what you did before.
Well, it was a lot easier on my Sony, even cooking the rom was a first time success. Here im struggling really hard since i feel im running around in circles, not able to proceed...
First of all some details to my phone:
Android 5.0.1
API Level 21
Bootloader I9505XXUHOJ2
Build ID LRX22C.I9505XXUHOJ2
Java VM ART 2.1.0
OpenGL ES 3.0
Kernel armv7l
Kernel V 3.4.0-5978264 (I9505XXUHOJ2)
Root No
Thing is, every source tells me that I need TWRP or a different custom loader to flash the ROM. But i cannot install it since my phone isnt rooted and the ODIN root-method fails for me, since the process stops right in the beginning at the recovery.img, like its hung up. I tried everything from different USB ports to disabling windows firewall and enabling USBdebugging in the developer settings of my phone... Still same result, no sucess....
Is there any way to do this via Kies ? What should I do ?

There are 3 methods to flash TWRP:
1) Root and Flashify
2) Odin
3) ADB
Since rooting with Odin doesn't work, maybe you should try flashing recovery with Odin.
Have you tried a different version of Odin or a different Windows version?
Hi, I'm going to say in advance that I'm no expert in this subject, so any help is well appreciated...
I bought this Nexus 7 in 2012/2013 and was really really satisified with the product. But as many of you know Google ruined it with a poor Android update.
After a long time without using this device, I tried to ressurect it by installing Cyanogen Mod (don't remember the version). I had followed some tutorial to root the device, install TWRP and Cyanogen.
All worked fine, the device got a little bit faster, but a lot of apps didn't work (like Netflix for example). So, again I left it aside...
This year, I saw the need to have a tablet for study purposes, but the device wasn't working really well with CMod.
Then I tried to flash the stock version with TWRP and something went wrong...
Now the device is soft bricked (I believe).
-I can access TWRP just fine. But the device doesn't show up on Windows 10 (Even after installing several different drivers)
-I can't use adb or fastboot.
I have used USBDeview, have tried using the toolkit, changing USB ports, changing cables, using different OS and nothing seems to work.
If anybody in here can help, I'll be forever grateful.
