Hi, i've got my nexus 6p two weeks ago.
In the last week i've noticed that the phone is always awake, even with screen off. In the first days of use doze was working well and i didn't have problems.

It doesn't seem to be regular.
Any suggestion?

Did you disable any systemupdate services? That can cause a wakelock.

That's what I did also to solve it. But that's a workaround. Does anyone have a solution?
As far as I know, there is no solution yet. There is a bug report to Google android team but no answer yet. Very disappointed..
Your cell signal is very weak in most of your readings, which will cause the phone to use more battery than if it were a stronger signal

I'm always with bluetooth off, and i have only Wi-Fi detection for localization. How can i disable system update services?

So what should i do? A reset may solve the problem?
Inviato dal mio Nexus 6P utilizzando Tapatalk
Mine was this way after I flashed a ROM. After day 2 is just magically disappeared
I'll try to reset the phone because this problem does the battery last only 3.5 hours (screen time).

After a factory reset, nothing changed ?
Inviato dal mio Nexus 6P utilizzando Tapatalk
3.5 hours of Screen on time is what most people get.
I had the exact same issue and on day 2 it just stopped. Have you waited that long?
Yes, and nothing changed. Today i have done a factory reset. I hope something changes in two days..

Uninstall Facebook and use Metal for Facebook. The latest Facebook is causing wakelocks and battery drain.

turn off wifi scanning
I uninstalled Facebook and messenger and I have no more random wakelocks keeping the phone awake. I tried to install it back today and it's started again..... It's a new bug... It wasn't like that before

theres a way to get rid of it completely from your homescreen, forgot exactly what but it has to do with disabling a stock google app in 'all apps'. if this is what your asking..

The only ways to get rid of it that I know of are to use a different launcher, like AleCai, or to disable Google Search, which eliminates the stock voice-recognition program.
jamaaal, did you notice whether or not voice recognition was missing?
(No question is dumb, szc21, but your thread, since it's Q&A, may be in the wrong section.)
Hey guys!
So I recently discovered some features I hadn't known about with the Moto G's camera. After wondering why I wasn't getting geo-tags with my photos, I Googled around a bit. When you slide right in the camera app, the options pop up. From there, you can scroll the wheel up and down to reveal more options, including: geo-tagging, widescreen & 4:3 mode, sound on or off. They don't discuss these features in the tutorial, so hopefully this helps others!
When you open the app for the first time there is a tutorial that tells you exactly what you just wrote..

From my experience with the tutorial, it only included the swipe left and right, and never mentioned scrolling up and down the options wheel:

Sorry, I didn't read well what you wrote, by the way I think that it was quite obvious the fact that you can turn the wheel because there is a shadow on the scrollable side! Never thought it was a "secret"..

Don't worry OP, we've all been there...
Thankfully you can disable the camera shutter noise in that menu

Do I need a factory reset?(Yes, probably)
I'm on stock ITV firmware no root
Even under heavy loads (games, benchmarks) it doesn't kick on.

Dude, this is normal. Those last two CPU's only get activated when the phone is doing heavy duty stuff like gaming and such. Mine is the same and im pretty sure everybody's else's is to.
Cpu spy still not support stat for 2nd cpu so it doesn't show up.

Yep that is true , when i had Note 5 there were one governor that Arter97 brought that almost was perfect, cafeactive. it utilized CPU as it should be, i know because as far as cpu intensive games, Tekken 6 on ppsspp emulator is super intensive, and it worked perfect, but it had problem with heavy 3d games so it got replaced
Use other apps. Cpu spy don't show them all for exynos cpu.

Hi, this feature works if you leave the phone in a flat surface. If you have the phone in your hand, it doesn´t work.

Yes, i tried both to move my hands over the sensors and to keep it over the sensors, but it doesn't work. I don't know what could be.
I don't think that it is a sensor's problems since the sensors are working fine. Very strange.

I like to use it since they are useful. This morning i did few tries and i saw that if i lay my hand touching the sensors it works sometimes, but if i only put my hands on it without touching the sensors, it doesn't work. Very strange, i really don't understand what could be.
Anyone experienced battery drain after september 2019 update or it's just my battery problem?
Works fine for me.
Same thing for me, I've noticed a huge battery drain all of a sudden since August update, forcing me to charge the phone twice a day since it got to the point where the phone was losing like 5% battery every hour in idle... First I thought the battery was dead but simply deactivating LTE does the trick for me.
I suggest you try forcing EDGE and use Wi-Fi instead of LTE, at least it's worked so far.
Haven't put an eye on that. (O_O)
Let me check. Thanks for the advise!
and I thought I was the only one with this problem
I have consistent idle screen-off usage ~0.8% per hour probably ever since I bought the phone. Use battery monitoring app and check if you really have high battery usage with screen off. It will also help you confirm if any action you take is successful or just a placebo.
Edit: It's worth noting, that if you use quite popular Whatsapp on the PC, it will cause higher battery usage of your phone. Not sure how many people realize this.
I replaced battery yesterday because my old one was really bad.I can confirm that after September update i have battery drain.

That's quite normal usage for Bluetooth (especially if you're streaming online music). My Bluetooth streaming uses about 4-6% per hour. Also screen on is perfectly normal.
