Hi, I have a problem with my D802.
My smartphone overheats in a short time. I check the temperatures with cpuz, I see that "pm8941_tz" exceeds 95° Celsius, why? If I use the smartphone with this temperatures, it reboots.
What's the problem? And what is "pm8941_tz"?
Please help me.
Same problems with KitKat and Lollipop
P.S.: sorry for my English
Have you tried to install custom kernel or ROM? I don't know what cause the device to heat that much, but some custom kernels and even those that come with custom ROMs have thermal control. I'm on AICP 11 and everything is normal so far. If you like Stock ROM, you can still try CloudyG2 or G3.

I don't know how I install a new ROM but if I can, I prefer a ROM like nexus, without any personalization.
Anyway, I would like to know why overheats

You need to root your phone and install a recovery, so you can install new ROMs. If you prefer ''pure Android'' ROMs, I think you'll enjoy AICP 11, it's Android 6.0.1 and it has more customizations than CM 13. I'll give you a tutorial:
1 - Follow the tutorial to get root: forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
2 - Download the recovery for you model here: gregtwallace.com/lgg2-projects/twrp/?version=2.8.7.3
3 - Install the recovery zip using the app ''Flashify (for root users)'', you can find it on the Play Store
4 - Download and install the app ''Quick Boot (reboot)'', also found in the Play Store
5 - Download the hybrid bootstack from here (it is needed for any CM 13 based ROM): danielstuart.tk/bootstacks.html
6 - Download the AICP 11 ROM for your model here (you'll have to search it): dwnld.aicp-rom.com/?device=d802
7 - Download the OpenGApps 6.0 for ARM (pico, nano, whatever, you choose) here: opengapps.org
8 - Put bootstack, AICP 11 and GApps on your internal storage. Then reboot to recovery using Quick Boot app
9 - Once in recovery, go to ''Wipe'' tab, then ''Advanced Wipe'', choose ''Dalvik Cache'', ''System'', ''Data'' and ''Cache''
10 - Go back to the recovery home, install the bootstack. Then go to ''Reboot'' tab and reboot recovery, reboot ONLY recovery, it will tell you that there is no System installed, reboot recovery anyway.
11 - Now install AICP 11, then GApps, then reboot system
12 - Enjoy an AOSP ROM

Thank you very much but on start, when it asks me the language ecc., it shows an error like "the XX as stopped" and I can't continue with the configuration.
I will try the cynogenmod...I hope it is better without any "problems"

Most people recommend using blastagator's TWRP, I don't know if you had that issue because of it, I use another one by dr4stic. If you keep having problem to install the ROM, give dr4stic's TWRP a try. You can download it here: androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347840163

I managed to install all thanks to your guide. I have tried CM 13 but is still unstable then CM 12.1 and it's all ok, but has some shortcomings. However it appears good, for now...I hope...

I dont know about that twrp. he had heat issues. say twrp uses all cores and that heats up phone and damage screen. so balstagator has thermal it controls the cores wich all 4 arent needed to flash.

I'm glad I could help. In case you want to test dr4stic's TWRP on installing CM13 or any ROM based on it, you can download it here: www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347840163
Install steps are the same as if you were installing with blastagator's one.

I got it, but I think that he was complaning about having heating issues during normal use of ROM, not on Recovery. Anyway, I'm not sure that dr4stic's TWRP has thermal control, but I haven't had heating issues so far using it.

Now Official CM14.1 is available for our beloved Google Nexus 7 2013 WiFi (flo). The nightlies and changelogs could be find here: https://www.cmxlog.com/14.1/flo/
I updated from CM13 (around Aug 29 nightly): dirty flash Nov 13 nightly + OpenGapps nano package (7.1) Nov 11 ver.
Everything is fine. Updating my apps now.
************************************
Please take note of the following:
1) TWRP recovery should be used to flash CM14.1 nightlies.
2) Recommended Gapps should be Open Gapps (arm, 7.1 pico). Otherwise you may encounter "insufficient space error" as reported. Mine is 32 GB. I installed nano package and I also have about 70 apps installed on my end.
3) The 2 lines of error mentioning "E:command log" (or something similar~), during flashing, is a common thing for Nougat based ROM
4)CM's gerrit: https://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/status:open
5)CM's github: https://github.com/CyanogenMod
Update: This a discussion thread and thus users can come together to discuss issues, provide solutions and assist other users that are using CM14.1 Nightlies. (Thanks @Bobbi lim for these suggestions!)
I recommend clean flash if you comes from CM13 or other custom ROMs, and please make nandroid backup using TWRP before installing this.
Please also be noted that I am just a "power user", not a Dev
************************************
I did dirty flash of 20161115 nightly over the initial 20161113 nightly as well. Dirty flash 20161117 nightly as well
************************************
Again I recommend clean flash if you comes from CM13 or other custom ROMs, and please make nandroid backup using TWRP before installing this.

Update (Nov 18, 2016) : Official Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...icial-cyanogenmod-14-1-nightlies-flo-t3502494
I'm first booting it right now, I try to installs gapps micro, but it says they were to big, so I had to install the Pico Version
Edit: Sound Recorder, Live Display and Mail is not working yet
---------- Post added at 01:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:33 AM ----------
Also Touch force is not available yet
Anybody else experiencing a long boot screen. Seeing the cm robot logo and os never loads
Works great for me. Went from the unofficial to this and I can't really complain.
Source quality on twitch has issues but thats about it
does anyone have issues with the screen rotation? seems to be fixed at portrait no matter what settings.
^Rotation works fine for me on the first nightly.
Screen search isn't working for me. Some quick googling says it might just be an early 14.1 bug. Can someone confirm? Make sure it's on in the Now settings then longpress the home button, anything pop up?
Otherwise it's working quite well for the first nightly.
Edit: Screen Search has to be enabled in Settings > Buttons. Works now.
No problems so far, except for the odd random "CM bug report has stopped". Using TWRP 3.0.2.0, I wiped all 5 partitions before flashing, then all partitions except "System" after flashing (first boot might have taken a while).
I only flashed Delta Gapps (Base 7.1.1, Pixel Launcher, Search, TTS, and Connectivity Services). OK Google works, orientation works, Home button long-press Search Assistant works... I'm still not too familiar with Nougat, and wasn't aware of the settings to assign functions to the Home button (thank you for the info).
Bugged
when i try to flash it i get an error.
Error: unknown command[log].
dunno what to do, tried redownloading and stuff, gonna try the knew build today.

I think all Nougat ROMs show that error twice during flashing, but it doesn't seem to cause any problems, CM still boots and works fine.
i flashed the CM 14.1 nightly on my N7 2013 today.
it works as far as i can see, but i cannot get the gapps to install.
i tried aroma, full, mini, micro, nano and pico. (Platform: ARM, Android 7.1)
they all give me the insufficient space error.
i tried to install from "sdcard"-memory and by sideload.
It is the 16 gb version of the tablet.
How do i get the gapps onto my tablet ?
it is practically useless without it.

WOW even Pico? I just clean flashed the latest build (but this time with Google Now Launcher). I have the 32GB model. I haven't used OpenGapps, I'm only using Delta Gapps, I choose only the apps I want to flash/replace, so I don't have redundant apps. So far no issues with the last 2 builds (still shows the 2 red errors during CM flashing, but that's not really a problem).

If you have problems and need to go back to stock, you can get the factory images straight from Google:
ONLY FLASH THE LATEST IMAGE, DO NOT DOWNGRADE!

"razor" for Nexus 7 [2013] (Wi-Fi)
Extract it and flash it with fastboot in bootloader mode (flash-all.bat).
Could not get it to work. Went back to stock for now.

No clue, but there should be enough space for CM and Gapps. Were you using the latest TWRP 3.0.2-0? Did you wipe all partitions before flashing?

i used the cyanogen recovery that they offer on the download page right next to the image i used.
i also wiped everything, multiple times.
maybe next time i will try the other recovery.
for now i prefer a working tablet. maybe i will also wait for the stable release before i try again.
Dirty flash Nov 15 nightly (using TWRP) and everything is still fine. Mine is 32 GB (mentioning this since some reported insufficient space error).

I tried with the Cyanogenmod recovery+pico gapps, fails. Without gapps it flashes fine, but cyanogenmod doesn't boot. With TWRP+pico gapps everything works fine.
Installed cm-14.1-20161115-NIGHTLY-flo.zip and open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20161111.zip, everything works fine. Only problem, i had to trigger google backup transport from command line to get my wifi passwords back.

Thanks! Changes were made upon your request
Dirty flash 20161117.nightly.
I used TheStrix recovery 3.0M4 for the entire procedure.
Apps that have to write alot to cache like google maps, google earth, are MUCH faster with F2FS.
Make a nandroid backup if you want to revert to your current rom (common sense, no?)
Short video showing all add-ons - https://youtu.be/p9Zyb3C4gQ4
1) First Step
a. install cm13 firmware or install marshmallow miui rom (when installing miui rom with miflash you must allow the rom to boot once to create a proper partition table then reboot to recovery and wipe)
b. wipe all except sd and internal storage
c. install rr or rr-fk rom
d. install gapps if desired (arm64 6.0)
e. reboot to system (this particular reboot can take up to five minutes, be patient)
f. allow setup screen to appear
g. reboot to recovery after 30 secs on setup screen
2) Second Step
a. clear ONLY dalvik
b. install xposed uninstaller (using the xposed uninstaller before installing the framework is the install method recommended by the xposed developers)
c. install xposed framework
d. reboot to system (this particular reboot can take up to five minutes, be patient)
e. allow setup screen to appear
f. reboot to recovery after 30 secs on setup screen
3) Third Step
a. install supersu
b. reboot to system
c. allow setup screen to appear
d. reboot to recovery after 30 secs on setup screen
e. install goodix fix if you have goodix fp
f. install radon or agni kernel ( if using radon 3.7 make sure to check permissive selinux for goodix, the default is now enforcing )
g. reboot to system
h. complete setup
h. install xposed apk
i. done!
4) Optional for ViPER4Android FX
a. install this version of busybox from play store - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox
b. open busybox app and allow smart settings to complete (takes 2-3 minutes)
c. click "install" button
d. open viper4android fx apk (link below) and install then open. when viper is installing the driver it may seem like it is hanging. it's not, be patient the driver takes about a minute to install
e. reboot
f. done
5) Optional for F2FS data and cache
a. reboot to recovery
b. install stock boot.img to boot partition
c. install radon or agni kernel ( if using radon 3.7 make sure to check permissive selinux for goodix, the default is now enforcing )
d. convert data and cache to f2fs
--- don't try to skip a step and install goodix patch here, you will get infinite boot logo ---
e. install radon or agni kernel again ( if using radon 3.7 make sure to check permissive selinux for goodix, the default is now enforcing )
f. reboot to system (this particular reboot can take up to five minutes, be patient)
g. allow setup screen to appear
h. for non-goodix (fpc) you are done. remember to install xposed apk when you complete setup and complete the steps below for viper4android fx if you installed it earlier.
i. for goodix reboot to recovery and continue to next step
j. install goodix_fp_8.zip
k. install radon or agni kernel ( if using radon 3.7 make sure to check permissive selinux for goodix, the default is now enforcing )
l. reboot to system
m. complete setup again
n. install xposed apk
o. done
---- only if you installed viper4android fx earlier ---
p. install this version of busybox from play store - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox
q. open busybox app and allow smart settings to complete (takes 2-3 minutes)
r. click "install" button
s. install viper4android fx apk
t. done!
NOTE: I'm not responsible for you breaking your phone, blah blah blah....
Caveats for F2FS users:
You won't be able to take nandroid backups with zcx, you will have to use a customized recovery like TheStrix M4 recovery that supports mounting f2fs partitions.
Caveats for Xposed:
Since RR has many customization features built in, don't expect all the customization features from modules to work. For example, xstana replaces all icons except the battery icon.
Working:
Everything except backlight duration controller in RR settings. Minimal considering the benefits....
Termux: You must use tsu in place of su to have a proper superuser shell. Just open termux and enter "apt-get update && apt-get install tsu" . After tsu package is installed always use tsu in place of su. tsu is a su wrapper for termux to give you a proper interactive shell. I found this out after su was no longer working correctly in termux. This is true for all CM13 based roms as far as I can tell. I am a happy person now. :victory:

I would suggest flashing the latest global stable marshmallow miui fastboot rom via miflash. Make sure you replace emmc_appsboot.mbn with an unlocked version or else you will be with a locked bootloader and a bad attitude. Be careful with miflash as I have already soft and hard bricked my phone many times with it. If you aren't brave enough just wipe all partitions except internal storage and sdcard then flash cm13 firmware.

It was complicated as hell until i found strix m4 recovery then things became a WHOLE lot easier. anyways if you don't want to try the rom and just want to say stupid things for no reason, go somewhere else. it took me almost a week pinning down the most direct, fastest way of accomplishing what i wanted. rr with xposed, supersu, f2fs, goodix fp, and viper audio. it's good there's lots of people out there that actually do things with their time instead of talking nonsense on some random xda thread. Now that I figured out all the steps through trial and error because RR never wants to boot if you do one little thing wrong of course it's easy. It took me around 10 hours of total time to figure out the exact steps so RR wouldn't freeze on the boot logo. Do you want to try another method? Be my guest, have fun looking at the RR logo for the next 10 hours. Oh, and don't forget to spend an hour writing a guide about how you did it too.... thanks.
When flasing the RR-fk waht should i do with the Device tree? Can u give the link for me to learn? Search in google and confuse which i should read first... Thx before

***WARNING***
This is NOT an official guide and I'm not affiliated with Offensive Security [ :crying: ].
This is just my personal guide.
I've been playing with this today and lot of my tries ended up with bricking my device.
Currently this method is working, but I am NOT responsible for any bricked devices.
If you never encountered/heard of bootloop/brick, please consider ignoring this tutorial.
DON'T FORGET TO MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!!!
Hi guys! This is my quick-guide on how to install a Kali NetHunter on Huawei Honor 8.
It's quite simple, just read every step carefully.
This is just a guide. All credits goes to: CyanogenMod , TWRP, Offensive Security
So let's start!
*REQUIREMENTS*
- Rooted device
- Custom recovery TWRP/CWM
- A bit of patience
- Brain
You will need to flash a new recovery image through your old one .
So it's exactly very easy. I've already tested a lot of things and everything is working just fine.
So follow this steps:
1. Download CM 13 for Honor 8 and put it on your SD card. Link here.
2. Download this TWRP image for CM 13 / Honor 8 and put it on your SD card. Link here.
3. Download OpenGApps (Select arm64, 6.0, mini) and put in on your SD card. Link here.
4. Download Kali NetHunter (generic-arm64) and put in on your SD card. Full version: HERE. Minimal version: HERE. Just select the version you prefer. I'm using FULL, but I also tried minimal and it's working fine.
So after you downloaded all the files and you have it on your SD card:
1. Power off your Honor 8
2. When it's already off, press&hold Power and Volume Up button, until your device vibrates and the display starts up.
3. You should now be in your recovery. Press Install and select the TWRP recovery image, which you have downloaded on you SD card. Slide the panel to flash.
4. After you successfully flashed the image, head into main TWRP menu and select Reboot -> Recovery.
5. After you reboot into your recovery, choose cancel, if device ask for password key. If TWRP asks you if you want to allow write access to the system partition. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ALLOW THIS. Check the box that says to never ask this question again.
6. Do a basic WIPE
7 . Flash the CM 13 then flash GApps
8. !IMPORTANT! Now reboot to your system and complete the basic "First-start" settings. Do NOT flash Kali NetHunter, if you haven't completed the first-time boot settings.
9. When you set up your phone and you are already on your Home Screen, power off your phone and boot to recovery again.
10. Now flash the Kali NetHunter, which you have downloaded on your SD card.
11. After the installation is complete, you can reboot to your system.
12. Press the power button on the Huawei Unlocked Bootloader warning screen. It will take a bit longer to boot than normal. It's completely fine. Just let it be for like 30 secs.
13. Now the Kali Bootanimation will start. Your phone will probably turn off during the bootanimation on your first boot. DON'T PANIC. It's fine. It will automatically restart and boot to your new system.
14. Now open up the NetHunter app. It will ask you for some permissions. It's important to ALLOW all the permissions.
15. After you allowed it all permissions, you can now close the NetHunter app and enjoy your Kali NetHunter
Sorry for my bad English
If you brick your phone, wipe your data and flash everything except the TWRP image again.
It's not my fault if you damage your phone by doing this. Remember that you are doing this on your own risk.
Have fun with your NetHunter on Honor 8

You mean specific NetHunter build or CyanogenMod build?
I tried one older build of NetHunter and it worked fine as well, but I'm not sure about the CyanogenMod. I think there are only 4 builds of CM13 for Honor 8 and this one is the newest. But I think the older builds would work too.

It's not strange because I was on nougat with latest nougat TWRP when I tried the first time. But I rolled back to mm and completed the steps. However, the data partition was encrypted after rebooting to recovery with the new TWRP. I had to format data then reboot to recovery again. You should add this to the guide.

I have tested on twrp-3.0.2-0-frd.img&twrp-3.1.1-0-frd.img both are working without any issue

I successfully flashed nethunter on stock Nougat (FRD-L09C432B360).. DriveDroid which is the only thing I want didn't work with stock because it couldn't find USB mass storage. I tried to install it via nethunter instead but it didn't work there either. Might be because I forgot to open nethunter once for setup though..

I don't think fingerprint worked if I recall correctly. I installed NetHunter as any custom ROM if I remember correctly.
I have installed it on Stock rom by using Magisk (and root of course). Very simple, very powerful.
I was about to give up and go back to stock but lo and behold I got ahold of a link to a really nice GSI for our Honor 7x devices, and any other device with the Hi6250 chipset. It has worked flawlessly on my BND-L24 and doesn't give me weird uncertified device and internal storage errors like the treble GSI found in the treble ROM forums.

Alright, let's install.
1. Boot into TWRP
2. Go to wipe - advanced wipe
3. Wipe all but SD card
3. Then go back to wipe.
4. There is an option next to advanced wipe, forgot what it was. (I think it was "Format Data")
5. Tap that option and type "yes"
6. Reboot back into TWRP
7. Flash the ROM and flash Open GApps right after flashing the ROM (I used Pico Open GApps)
8. Do a factory reset, wipe Cache, Dalvik / ART cache, and Data in advanced wipe just to be sure.
9. Reboot

EDIT: I'm no longer on this ROM so if there are bugs and you want me to reproduce them, I can not help you. Sorry, I need a more stable ROM for our Honor 7x's than this one. Thanks for understanding.
It's not the best idea to wipe with TWRP. It's better to do it with stock recovery or manually with fastboot.
Hi !
Does it work on BND-L21C432 ? What are the steps to install the rom ? Does it have to be EMUI 8.0 ?

Yes I flashed the 16.4, not sure what happened. I can get into twrp, tried wiping and flashing the DotOs image again but all it does is boot into Huawei recovery. When I get home I will try downloading the stock firmware from the MT website and if I can get it to boot up Ill try flashing DotOs again.

Most likely there is something wrong with what you're using to flash the GApps, like the SD card, USB OTG, etc. Try switching it out.
But before doing all that, first flash the ROM, and then reboot again into TWRP and try flashing it if that makes a difference. Make sure you're flashing the ROM like the original post says.

That's great! Definitely giving this one a try

What is this?
- sGSI of ZUI 10.0/ 5.0 from Lenovo Z5pro/Z5, based on Android 8.1.0, June 1,2018 security patch.
Since this was requested in some comments, I flashed it and found working for our device flawlessly, with some bugs.
Features?
-All features of ZUI 4 + Soft Charge, gestures, multi space ( dual apps ) etc. Split Screen is also available.
How to flash?
ZUI 10 :
1. Download the flashable zip from the links.
2. Boot to twrp, and wipe dalvik, cache, data, system and vendor.
3. Flash the zip.
4. Reboot.
ZUI 5:
Method 1 : (Recommended)
- 1. Download any treble based 8.1.x rom and ZUI5.0-sGSI.zip (link below).
[Please use MIUI 10 8.11.1 by Narshi Shukla as base ROM, as it seems it's Vendor is most compatible.]
2. Extract the zip in your storage. You will get three files ( two flashable zips and one folder "sGSI.....". [Folder name might differ, there will be only one folder, so no worries])
3. Boot into recovery and take a backup.
4. Clean flash treble based Oreo ROM that you downloaded.
5. From your twrp, use file manager to move " sGSI...." folder to backup folder of Twrp.
6. Mount system and vendor and wipe cache/delvik, data and system.
( Don't wipe firmware and Vendor )
7. Goto restore in your twrp and restore the system from "sGSI....." folder.
8. Flash the remaining two zips.
9. Flash magisk if needed.
10. Wipe cache/delvik and reboot. Done.
Method 2 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78389810&postcount=320
(You need treble based twrp, search if you don't already have).
After following all these steps, if your phone is stuck in Lenovo powered by android screen for long, then force reboot the phone and it will boot up to system.
What works?
-Here:
Call,SMS, VOLTE, Data, play store, Utouch, Fingerprint , Navigation, Double touch to wake, GCAM, Face Unlock, Hotspot, Banking apps, nearly everything.
What doesn't work?
- ROM specific. Bugs depend upon the treble ROM that you used as base. In some ROM, system sounds does not work. In MiUI 10, video recording might not work. Game Mode has some issues with global apps.
*FOR VIDEO RECORDING - see this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78219358&postcount=93 ****
*Update GPU drivers for VULKAN support. Link in the links section.***
Performance?
- Better than ZUI 4, smooth as butter, no stutter playing games like PUBG, notifications on time, decent SOT.
Can it be used as daily driver?
- Yes, if you can live with some Chinese texts in certain apps.
Any other thing?
- Because the ROM is ported from Z5 which has a notch, total area of the notification bar cannot be used. To see things like real time network speed and battery "percentage" you have to pull down the notification bar.
What should I do first after booting the device?
- Install play store from App center. Install magisk to remove bloat wares. Install any music app, since there is none. This will make the system optimal for us.
Also, Turn "True Full Screen Mode" ON in display settings for full screen in Apps.
Install Magisk and download and install "SafteyPatch V2" within Magisk to pass safetynet and hide banking apps in magisk hide to use them.
Open security app and give all important permissions to the apps you use, including system apps. Also include them in autorun/whitelist section.

******************************** FLASHING ISSUE ******************
While flashing this ROM, try to follow the guide above as strictly as possible. Use the ROM that is recommended.
If you are facing bootloop, download the vendor that is provided and restore it in twrp and then flash patch 1 and 2.
Also remember, during each and every step, your TWRP should have system and Vendor mounted. Check after every step.
Your phone might reboot once or twice during first boot, which is not an issue.
How to know if you flashed it correctly?
-If your phone boots into the system with "Lenovo bootanimation" , you flashed it correctly.
If your phone is stuck in "Lenovo - powered by android" splash image for more than 5 minutes, you got something wrong.

Notification bug is not there. Only sometimes, it seems that we get late notification.
You have to flash it over Oreo because the GSI is Oreo based. Flashing over pie should work as well, since treble ROM is required. Take a backup of your system so you can restore easily, if you face any issue.

Haven't tested, but should be flashable.
Edit : Custom kernel might brick the device. Will test and update.
Donot flash custom kernel, it causes self restart of device.
Note: Moxie kernels can be flashed, you should flash patch2 after flashing kernels. But, MIUI 10 comes with moxie R5.1 so no use flashing Moxie again.

I think only MIUI 10 rom works flawlessly for this GSI. I will update the main page details and ask to use MIUI 10 only.
You couldnot flash patch 2 because it requires vendor, and may be your vendor is now messed up.
So use MIUI 10 port, it works without any issue.
