Hi guys! Since I saw a number of LG G3 users on XTREMEMusic's thread posting that the latest version doesn't work, I just wanted to tell you guys some good news. I also tried installing the latest version of XTREMEMusic by @androidexpert35 and can't get it to work. For it to work, just install the 6.2 version and don't forget the v4a fix. Using it right now in my lg g3 d855 16gb, on 30b rom and it works great.
That's it! Really just wanted to share the news. :good:

First, try reinstalling your rom again to avoid any errors. Although in my case, I didn't. That's just to be sure. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24337548750880947 Flash this first, this is the 6.2 mod and then flash this, https://mega.nz/#!iBokgTYZ!kYcGYdPmMO58HqfT5dcJmoZClrCEFIOXn9NW0F6o7VA This is the fix for viper4android. If you don't know what that is, try using google. Well, what the fix does is allow you to install viper4android drivers. That's it. Just flash everything in twrp.

Tried it once, stuck at starting apps. Never tried it again. I've read about removing something from the zip but I'm not sure. Also, most of the latest comments in xtrememusic's thread is about the mod not working in different devices so I just settled with 6.2 version. Better than nothing.
Well, that didn't work out too well. Flashed XTREMEMusic 6.2 and the Viper4Android fix from this thread. XTREMEMusic app crashes on startup. Viper4Android crashes when installing drivers. Then I came here to post about it, and my phone completely crashed. First a black screen, then after pulling the battery and restarting, it went into a boot loop.
I have tried several times to get Viper4Android to work on the G3, with no success. I really miss my HTC One M8. If I had the cash, I'd pick up a new Nexus device and never look back.

The app installs, driver installs, reboot, etc. It just never kicks in and driver status doesn't say it's processing.

I did have to go back through the process of downloading drivers. And I think there's an option to choose music equalizer: under settings>Sound>Music effects, check Viper

i am no audiophile
couldn't find any difference though, then again i use the same earphones that came with the phone. Many say its bad.
i don't have any level to compare against, its all sounds same to me. i listen to music for time pass, i don't listen music for ''Music''.
and i had to restore from backup today. phone screen went black.. i was playing around with doze and flashing all these apps[Dolby ATMOS/Xposed/amplify]. so now i do not have any more enhanced music app.
Running the brazilean twrp "stock" (but its modified) from here, i simply installed the apk and let it do it's thing. This one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/app-material-viper4android-2-3-4-0u-t3190352
it keeps me prompting to install every time I reboot my phone, and I have already renamed the file you guys said.

Interesting this is the first I've heard of this mod, looks great I will try it out for sure.
I had the same problem.
You have to first install the v4a for systemlessroot v3 (final), and after that, install the latest v4a apk and
simply install that one and install the driver. by doing so it will stick, also after a reboot
The second post is what I use as well. You don't even have to worry about installing the driver since it's ready to go after flashing.

Set selinux to permissive (download the apk after googling), open file explorer, go to system/vendor/etc and rename the folder audio_effects.conf to audio_effects.conf.bak and save. exit es explorer and reboot, go to viper and check drivers, it should now say neon enabled. worked for me!

I'm running the Sony Beats V4A one. Dolby/Atmos aren't needed when you have ViPER. It's just another app/equalizer, but both work good together. Dolby(I believe it was) has this nice feature called ' Volume Leveler ' or something. It made everything loud at the lowest level.

And this.
I prefer running using Magisk v6 with the viper4 addon but Numbers is excellent as well, just waiting for WETA to support Magisk a little more cleanly before I head back to it. But if you don't use Android Pay or similar or for some other reason care about Magisk then WETA will get you up and running REALLY quickly with a great Nougat build. And it works fine with Magisk to a great extent, just a couple minor picayunes that I'm hoping will go away with time.:good:
Arise is basically Viper with Dolby Atmos. Tbh Viper is too much for me, as long as Dolby is working on stock N that has enough of an effect ,'m good to go But if you look back in the Arise thread, maybe back a week or so, i made a post saying that I finally got Viper/Dolby including SPEAKER See Speaker was something I was struggling to get to work on stock N with things like Spotify, play music, YouTube, even notifications, and some other things... basically every sound that comes out of the speakers except phone calls, unless it was via Bluetooth. Bluetooth was working overall, headphones were working overall and I even somehow found out locally stored music was working with speaker, but not those other things I had previously mentioned, was so weird. And of course it made it even more confusing bec some N users were saying it was fully working and others were in my situation.
That was until I found a post by user @SixFourSix he said to add/edit this certain file in system/etc . I went ahead and did that and after weeks of struggling, I had finally figured it out thanks to his tip. Everything was working with Viper and Atmos, those things I mentioned, except for one thing, phone calls, with Bluetooth I'm pretty sure it has an effect, but anything else with calls, for some reason, no. Don't know why. And I hadn't seen anyone comment on why. Maybe Arise isn't supposed to do that.
Yeah so go back to my posts in the Arise thread if you'd like, you'll see exactly what I mean.
Good luck

No. If you want it built into the WETA ROM, then just install it. If you want to try an older version of V4A, then I'd recommend 2.5.0.5. With V4A, you also have to take a few steps to ensure you're permissive (at least in my case) and you do a few other things.
