Hi have used LOT of LP 5.x.x builds
- but all lack of fully functional google camera (just photo + video)
Recently I went to miui based on KT 4.4.4
- gues what ? it has FULLY functional google camera "including sphere and panorama all kinds"
- after taking snap !!! in background its crunching the data and you cant take another sphere !!! YEAH great
- also updates from store WORK fine
Question
- wanted ask WHY is this not possible on 5.x ?
- do you know about any edition of LP 5.x that is able to run full google camera ?

Hi,
1. It's possible, maybe you are using the stock Camera instead of Google Camera. Go and check in Settings -> Apps and look the package name of the Camera; it should be com.google.android.GoogleCamera, not com.android.camera2 (stock Camera).
2. All ROMs should be able. However, not all features can be used (since it's vary on device by device, check Google Camera description). See my attachment. I use GearCM and working fine.
SOLVED >>>
devs on LP 5.x mostly use google camera 3MB
its called something like google.camera2 !!! photos+videos ... cant be uninstalled
simply install google camera from shop once again all working fine with me without additional aps

Yes, you're right.
But about Google Camera 3MB: Stock camera on AOSP-based LP 5.x are using the same API as Google Camera. It can be uninstalled and replaced with Google Camera using some GApps zips, however it needs a clean install requirement.
Hi guys,
I used to have CyanogenMod on my oneplus one. Now when I have OnePlus 2, I only find that there is CyanogenMod, but the laser autofocus and fingerprint sensor won't work... Actually I am thinking about CyanogenMod only because of ColorOS Camera app with plugins, because on my OP2 Oxygen 2.1.2 this app does not work, while on Cyanogen - it does. Maybe You know some alternatives to this...? Maybe there is some ColorOS based on android made for OnePlus 2 with laser focus and fingerprint sensor working on it..? Please let me know is there any other rom for OP2 that would work with laser/fingerprint sensors AND ColorOS Camera app.... I know I know, sounds like a mad man - Exchange good working OS to Cyanogen, where some features does not work only for an camera app...? Well... Yeah.
None up to now i guess, since Oneplus team havent release the full source code for their Oxygen ROM...
ColorOS is not that great anyway, tried it back in my OPO time, still prefer SD Cam or CM cam all over again...
You always can edit your picture later with VSCO & Snapseed, so i prefer "raw" - untouched image for my cam...
this might not applied for most of ladies user though who prefer "Shot n straightly upload"
Why the hell they hide source code? Personally, I do not like not open source codes, because it means that manufacturer can do whatever he likes with Your phone, track it, spy it, collect any kind of data and so... Well I don't know, maybe I am wrong about this, I do not have enough knowledge about this, so this is just a guessing. I am still thinking to join CyanogenMod, but the worst thing is that OnePlus are no longer friends with CyanogeMon, so, I gues there would be no (OTA, or else) updates on the software...?
Until OnePplus releases source code for Laser AutoFocus and Fingerprint sensor(Fingerprint sensor will work fine after Marshmallow upgrade on AOSP or CM or whatever ROM). We can hope for working Fingerprint but not the Laser Auto Focus.
Edit : will work after OnePlus releases marshmallow.

Wrong! It will work on custom roms after OnePlus releases his own Marshmallow version. If before that someone build a working Marshmallow rom, it won't work.
Hyrdrogen OS
Hydrogen and Oxygen is basically the same. The key thing for me is an OS with working fingerprint and laser focus + ColorOS Camera, is this possible on OnePlus 2? If Yes, with which ROM? If not, then on which ROM (except CM) ColorOS Camera would work? Thanks!

good ROM only thing that i didnt like. 3rd party apps dont get notifications. you have to check yourself. i like the outlook but quickly went back to Oxygen. The home button is VERY responsive on Hydrogen vs Oxygen and battery life seemed greater to me

Ya. Exactly, I didn't know how to put it in words. :good:
Can You please share a links of SD Cam or CM cam that You use please?
is it not possible for dev to drive the code from OOS stock zip file?
We need to wait to Malva, but i think CyanoGen was near about laser focus
I would love for those things to work on custom ROMs but you can use this if you want more than 1 ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/development/dualboot-dualboot-patcher-oneplus-t3221499
Hello everybody,
I'm new to Zuk Z1 and I'm pretty happy with my latest Cyanogen OS 12.1 official build, waiting for Cyanogen OS 13 release, sooner or later.
I love modding too, and I'd like to try Mr.Coldbird CM13 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/orig-development/unofficial-cm13-t3277885), because it looks better than official CM13 builds and also a lot more customizable than COS.
If anyone have tried them both, can you please post your impressions and also the main differences between the two firmwares?
Thanks in advice!
Both cm 13 rom 's look the same and look even the same than COS 12.1. cm13 is still beta and it is impossible to switch a single sim card off for the moment. You can do that in COS 12.1. As for the customization the roms are the same too. Only the rom 's built by @OrdenKrieger like temasek or RessurectionRom are more customized. If you really can't wait for the official launch you should try the official cm13 first as it does update your phone to be able to run other cm13 rom "s too without the need to flash a unknown custom made blobs zip.
Enjoy your Zuk Z1 with working Fingerprint on Cyanogen Software.

Thanks for your answer!
I mentioned Mr.Coldbird's CM13 because I read that it has working fingerprint and usb-otg, while official CM13 has not.
I'll take a look at the other ones you mentioned.
What I'd like for my Zuk is:
- Working fingerprint and unlock with soft touch (not press).
- Ambient Display (I came from a 2013 Moto X :sigh.
- "Ok Google" with screen off (see above :sigh.
- Something to ease one-hand usage (got very small hands).
- Better camera app than COS one.
- Better fingerprint integration (can only use it for phone unlock).
So i've been wanting cm 13 for xperia z2 ever since they released the stock marhsmallow update for xperia z2
To be honest im not happy with the stock MM rom. It's not as smooth as AOSP rom, but its actually like downgrading when you're moving from CM12.1 to stock marshmallow
So this is what i did. I realized there was an AOSP MM rom for xperia z2 and it's pretty stable now.
I installed it, but it was equal to a stock rom. No root and no features of cyanogenmod.
So i searched for a way to root the rom. You can find the file to root it in the links below. and then i installed xposed framework so get cyanogenmod features to the AOSP rom. and in the end i had a rom that works just like CM13 for xperia z2
Installation Method:
1. Follow the instructions to install AOSP MM for xperia z2. Link --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/aosp-6-0-marshmallow-sony-xperia-z2-t3235951
2. The rom has a twrp recovery so you can flash the rooting zip file from this link ---> https://download.chainfire.eu/743/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip
3. Install xposed framework - follow the instructions on this thread. Link ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
4. Install gravity box module to get latest features of cyanogenmod on your AOSP rom
Thats it guys. Now you have a rooted AOSP MM rom on your xperia z2 with cyanogenmod features.
If anyone needs step by step installation procedure please comment below and i will put it up.
You're welcome guys

Sorry I'm just a junior member so yea. I don't know what RIL means. But yea camera works fine. It's just that a bit too slow on taking pics.
But the AOSP team said they'll be fixing it soon on the days to come.

Ril means radio interface layer, it's basically for calling and stuff.
The Android Open Source Project provides a Radio Interface Layer (RIL) between Android telephony services (android.telephony) and the radio hardware. It consists of a stack of two components: a RIL Daemon and a Vendor RIL.

Oh yes. The telephony thing was recently updated. It works well. There's no problem in calling. The only problems that I noticed was NFC and the camera lags a bit. But everything else works fine
Sent from my Xperia Z2 (AOSP) using XDA-Developers mobile app
Camera and nfc is still unstable/broken in MM-based ROMs afaik. I've read that the "dark pictures" issue on the camera has been solved, but I've heard nothing about the other camera problems on MM: overheating, extreme lag, thermal throttling and heavy battery drain while camera is active.
And nothing new about the non-working NFC.
CyanogenMod theme engine available?

Good work. One question about terminology. Doesn't AOSP basically mean it's google's official version so how can Marsh Mallow stock not be AOSP?
