Make/Answer TAPI data call

Has anyone ever successfully make/answer a TAPI data call? I can have the voice call working but not the data one.
Can someone point me some example?
thanks.
look into source code at www.cryptophone.de
the idea is to kill cprog.exe application so that it does not pops up at incoming call. Than you can answer the data call as usual using TAPI.
When I was making a data call, the receiving XDA did not popup the cprog at all. And my program at receiving side didn't show any message either. (But it works fine with voice call and the cprog showed up to intercept the call). Does this problem indicate that the data call doesn't work at all?
If I can get rid of the cprog, do you think the data call will get through?
thanks,
- David
this seems to be a problem of your operator. Maybe it does not support incoming data calls.
Hey all , my issue is about making DATA CALLS !!!!
I have managed to get the modem in my XDA2 to respond to my AT COMMANDS however i dont think that a data call is possible the old way. So i want to investigate TAPI , i have managed to write up a function which calls a number by the function TapiRequestMakeCall but i am not too sure how to use the other functions .... wanna HELP ?>??
Is it actually possible to make data calls by using TAPI ???
Yes it is.
Did you look at an answer I gave you a while back ?

Can GPRS get connected while talking on phone?

My transfers suddenly went up to 1 GB/month. It was below 200 MB normally.
I compared my GPRS data transfer list with the speaking details and it turned out that some times GPRS got connected while I was talking on the phone.
Is this possible?
I really don't want to pay for a billing mismatch of my carrier... and it's a loooot of money, I tell ya!
"If I am connected to the Internet (e.g. via GPRS ), can I still receive calls?
If you are Sending or Receiving Data via GPRS at the moment the voice call arrives, you will not receive the voice call. Otherwise your phone will ring and you will have the choice to Answer or Ignore the voice call. If you answer the voice call the GPRS data session will be suspended. In the future, some GSM networks may deploy functionality which allows incoming voice notifications to be received during the sending or receiving of the GPRS data. Answering the voice call will suspend the transfer of data."

Is this true, is this half-true, it depends, or please somebody explain it to me!
Thanks in advance
You get either data connection or voice. If the Wizard had a 3G radio, then you could have both as long as 3G was available where you were.
Yeppeee! That's what I supposed to hear!
Now I can deny to pay those false bills.
Thank you very much!
I'm not sure if your provider will accept my comment as expert testimony!
That's just for me to be sure about my truth
They said I must ask HTC an authentication of that my phone is unable to do that. Then they revoke their bills.
Thanks again!

I have N1 .. I live overseas ... only use wifi - I want to make/receive calls with GV

I emailed Google prior to me purchasing the Nexus One ... explaining I will never use SIM Card ... and they
replied saying to me it will work with no SIM Card without any problems .. so I purchased it.... and still I can
not figure out how to make any international calls. I just want to use the Nexus One in Hotels with Wifi for
my calling needs. I have always used skype on my Iphone for the same service, however I now have the
Nexus One.... Now my issue is ... I cannot make any calls on the Nexus One without a SIM Card ... and this
makes me mad ... I just want to chat and call using the Wifi device ...
Several people told me to install SIPDroid, Fring (which I could never get it to make a call) and even today
i was advised by Nexus One Customer Support to install a Google program from Gizmo5 called GUAVA..
which would not install on the Nexus One ...and when I call Google for help .... no help is offered .. not even
on any official website ..... just for users around the world... with ALL different issues that don't related to
my own ... Very Frustrating since I like using GV for my International calling but it seems (for the moment) I
can only use GV with my computer and a headset ... why do I need the Nexus One then if I can't make a call
without a SIM?
Anyways.... (frustrations set-aside now) .... Can anyone give me OFFICIAL information about HOW I CAN
USE MY NEXUS ONE TO MAKE / RECEIVE TELEPHONE CALLS WITHOUT ANY INSTALLED SIM CARD JUST
USING A WI-FI CONNECTION?
I await to hear back from Google , Google Voice or Nexus One expert person
Thanks
Take this for what it is worth, but someone mentioned some program Nimbuzz having pretty decent Skype integration for making voice calls. This is ENTIRELY hearsay, and i have absolutely never used nimbuzz or this feature. It could be worth looking into though until you find a more permanent solution via google voice.
Good luck.

VOIP SIP Client Recommendation

Hello,
I just got my Dash 3G and I have an online account for a softphone through Voipraider.com for my international phone calls. I was looking through the instructions and it does have SIP settings so I can input on my phone.
Can anyone please recommend what's a good voice quality, stable SIP client, tht I can enter my credentials in and use it over the data plan (3G) or the WIFI network??
Thanks for reading my request!
I use Talkonaut http://www.talkonaut.com its pretty basic but I have never had any trouble using it.
I downloaded the software but I can not hear any sound from the phone nor from the speaker phone. The call goes through, my destination phone rings and I can hear sound coming from cell phone to the destination phone. The problem I am having is receiving any sound back to my Dash 3G... Any setting I need to mess with to make it work?

VoIP with automated speaker switch - working solution

This is my first thread. So Mods, please feel free to bump if necessary. Apologies in advance. May be relevant to other WM devices as well.
Still a noob, and am hoping this post can help others at same experience level. Tried solutions such as Fring, Internal WM VoIP, AutoAudioRoute, etc but could not get a working solution. Don't know how to flash a new ROM yet, so not an option. Thank you to developers and posters here whose work and experience have helped greatly.
In short, what worked for me was a combination of Teksoft's AudioRoute, AgePhone Mobile (softphone) and Google Voice (sorry, only US).
My quest: To turn my old HTC Titan into a VoIP over WiFi with automated speaker switch. Free is best, but willing to spend a little if I have to.
My phone: A former Sprint Mogul 6800, no longer active, so no plan whatsoever. WM 6.1, Stock Sprint ROM 3.56, Radio 3.42.
Was using Teksoft AudioRoute, but had to manipulate manually for each call, because for outgoing calls if speaker switch occurred before other party answered their phone - no outgoing audio.
Tried AgePhone Mobile softphone. They have a settings option that can execute AudioRoute speaker switch by command line. Execute on (call) Connect "-earpeice" Execute on Disconnect "-backspeaker"
However on outgoing calls, switch occurred too early, killing outgoing audio.
Was looking into a Google Voice number, when I read that the way it works, outgoing calls ring back to the phone number that you're forwarding calls to. Tested with AgePhone Mobile and success! Outgoing Google Voice call rings AgePhone, which switches to internal speaker when I pick up, then completes the call to the other party.
So for my phone at least SIP Provider w DID number + AgePhone Mobile ($35) + Teksoft AudioRoute + Google Voice + Google Voice Dialer = fully working, automated, speaker appropriate VoIP WiFi phone.
So, a relatively cheap solution but not free and only works for US users, but I hope this info might help out someone else.
Add Ons:
Free Google Voice dialpad: iDial (and iContacts)
I chose OneDialer instead ($7) because of integrated Google Voice SMS client - Free SMS!
