It's common. It's the noise that the lens make when camera is not in use. Here are few links with detailed explaination

It is not the camera autofocus
I did the test, but unfortunately it is not the camera.Something is lose at the right corner I guess.

Anyone else feel like there camera has degraded in quality since its been on?
I tried it instantly when i opened it out of the box and was amazed.
Now it almost looks as if the image isn't as sharp as it could be , nowhere near as sharp as some images I've seen on here anyway.
All my settings are the same
But beyond that. is anyone also having like a slow front facing camera? Mine is really laggy like from the lock screen last night my friend used it to test my phone and it looked terrible being so lag. trying to show how good it was against there iPhone which they are all so sucked into
No, theres no half-life for the camera

LOL good one!
Either your camera had a smudge on lens or you never took off the protective coating plastic on the camera lens.

Lol, I put money on the latter.
Whenever I notice my pics aren't as clear as a should be it's usually due to smudges on the lens
Regardless i personally dont think my camera is always as sharp as it could be almost like a pastel effect is on the screen.

Photos taken in manual mode under bright condition are nearly perfect, truly a better camera from my old Note 2.
Camera is phenomenal for me

Ive just noticed there is another protective layer on the camera but not sure if tis meant to be there it is very hard to get off
It's hard to see but the camera has a plastic covering it that you need to manually take off. Sorry if you already did.

And down the rabbit hole we go....
Hi all, I know it might sound stupid, but is there a plastic film on the edge plus camera lens?
I'm used to find it on every new phone I get (it was present event on my last note 4 and galaxy s6), but looking at the camera lens of my new Galaxy s6 Edge Plus...it doesn't seems to be any plastic film. I was only able to spot and remover a tiny plastic film on the flash sensor. That's it. Am I right?
Thanks in advance
Mine was same as yours. I looked with magnification and found nothing on camera.

Same here. I had one on the flash but nothing on the lense.

There was one on the flash/HRM, not on Camera though!
Anyone have their camera slightly off center? First Samsung handset and not sure if the camera underneath the lens should be centered? Mine is slightly below center, a non-issue but still curious.

I have read about this somewhere. I think it moves and everyone's are that way. Nothing to worry about.

It's due to OIS. If you hold the phone in selfi position with rear camera and keep trying different focuses and shake, you'll see your camera hole moving accordingly..

Just on flash.
I noticed today there is a noise coming out from my phone when i shake it- in the upper part. Like there is something loose. It can be easily heard, not only by the ear. Anybody else has the same?
A lot of times its the camera module moving around. The OIS lets it have some freedom of movement.
I hear it too, are you sure that is the camera module

Definitely the camera... Most phones make the noise some Samsung phones are louder than others.... S5 real loud S6 & S7 not to bad......
Shake. Phone and listen
Then open camera and shake and listen..
. Sound should go away because the camera is focusing
Galaxy S7 edge
It's camera lens

So I just covered the second lens on my A1 and tried to zoom... It worked flawlessly even with the supposed "Zoom" lens covered. So if it indeed zooms digitally, why is there a second lens? Is it just a placebo lens? Is it not used at all or just for portait mode? Really puzzled...

It uses the telefoto lens when the lighting is very good mate otherwise it just zooms in with the normal lens

If you want to switch to the telephoto lenses go to manual mode and tap on lenses.
Does the search option on forum do anything?
This community is the worst community I have ever seen. Creating exactly the same threads over and over... No development...
So I've been using gcam for a while and never have resorted to oos cam other than for video recording. So today I used oos cam again and tried to zoom in and suddenly I had this weird sensation in my hands. On putting the phone closer to my ears I could hear a buzzing sound. This sound only comes into play when telephoto lens is used and whenever the main lens is used it doesn't have any buzzing. I wanted to know if anybody else have the same issue and like the buzzing of the earpiece that eventually went away will this go away too?
Any suggestions are welcome. I'm attaching pictures taken in the main lens and comparing it with the telephoto lens which clearly suffer from a lack of sharpness so I think this has something to do with focusing of the telescopic lens.
