We have terrible sprint coverage in our area and I'm hoping to increase coverage through updated radios.
I rooted with ZVG and should have all the ZVG radio/modem/baseband versions.
Currently my baseband says it's version: MPSS.DI.2.0.c2-00081-M8974AAAAANAZM-1
I saw a Sprint G2 Rom that claims to use the ZVH modem and that got me thinking.
Is there any way to update the radios to ZVH without returning to stock then accepting ZVH OTA?
I'm on zvi and my baseband is exactly the same as yours.
zvh can be rooted easily with oneclick root(zvi can't tho). why not just update and see?
Separately messing around with radios is a bad idea and it's very unlikely it will help anyway. Update profile and prl and cross your fingers hoping that sprint will upgrade their towers in your area.

I just switched service from Tmobile to ATT. I seem to be having difficulty bouncing between LTE and 3G on the ATT service and wonder if I can safely flash a radio file from the D800 to my D801? I'm currently running the latest 4.4.2 Mahdi rom with Tmobile patch and wonder if that radio file might be an issue?
Thanks
Just ordered my wife a G2, it is unlocked however it is the AT&T variant and we are on Tmo. I have read that someone took a Tmo rom and made it possible to flash this to the AT&T model along with the KK baseband so that we can use Tmos wifi calling. However I would like to know if I can simply just flash a Tmo stock image and flash the KK baseband if this will work or am I looking into this all wrong?
This is where I read about the Tmo on AT&T rom:
http://phoneprouser.com/lg-g2-rom-that-supports-wifi-calling-on-att/1007/
Can anyone tell me if the ROM mentioned in the link above is this the latest ROM for the G2? Thank you in advance.
Side Question, if I want to flash Cyanogenmod and still want to retain the wifi calling can I flash the Tmo rom along with the aforementioned KK baseband?

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE AND COMPLETE NO GO, FLASHING A FACTORY IMAGE FOR A DIFFERENT MODEL CAN HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE, IN FACT I'D PRETTY MUCH GUARANTEE IT!!! GO INTO THE ATT DEVELOPMENT THREAD AND FIND SAID T MOBILE ROM FOR YOUR DEVICE, FLASH THAT IF YOU WANT TO. As an answer to the side question there is no way to retain wifi calling on cyanogenmod, especially on a non tmo device. Finally as for the baseband find out what baseband the respective ROMs need (the tmobile one for ATT G2s or the CM build you choose to use).
I was wondering. I have the T-Mobile S7 Edge and when I get it unlocked could I flash almost any stock firmware that is based on the Qualcomm varent?
Like go from T-Mobile's Stock to AT&T's stock rom?
Correct.
After you flash your desired USA Qualcomm variant stock rom, be sure to flash your desired carrier's modem over the freshly flashed rom. This would ensure that all your LTE bands are not only firing correctly, but optimally because the incorrect modem parameters will cause battery drain.

You may flash unlimited more times as you please. So long as only Official Samsung firmwares are used, KNOX will never be triggered.
I have flashed countless times on my S7E and it hasn't broke yet lol. I am running TMO 7.0 Nougat firmware on my Verizon branded S7E (SM-G935V) right now.
In a few weeks, I'm planning to gift it to my friend for her birthday. Since she has AT&T, I will simply download and flash the latest AT&T 7.0 Nougat firmware via Odin. If she decides to change carrier to Verizon or TMobile later on, I would just have to help her reflash the corresponding firmware via Odin. No biggy whatsoever. :cyclops:
I'm considering purchasing a network unlocked LG V20 H910 and using it in Canada. I would like to obtain updates such as Oreo when they become available. My network in Canada is Rogers.
From my review of the sites, it seems like these might be my options
Root the H910 and flash H915 as in this post
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/root-h910-v10m-t3664500
Use the H910 as-is in Canada on the Rogers network, but also purchase an AT&T pre-paid sim card to occasionally connect and get updates.
If I choose option to flash to a H915, I could only find a few KDZ files available.
There are few older files for Videotron at the v10c, v10d, and v10e levels that do not have dirty cow patched.
Some newer files for Rogers and Bell at the v10p and v10q level. If I apply these, I understand that risk being stuck with a phone that cannot be rooted and possibly cannot fix the modem. There may also be signal issues.
What have others done with their H910 releases in Canada?
If I load the Videotron v10e file, would I limited to signing up to Videotron to get updates from their network, or could I updates from another carrier/network?
Are older Roger's KDZ files for the H915 available?
If you get an h910 know that some people have had network issues using it off of ATT. The us carrier phones are finicky and lots of people have reported issues such as no lte, spotty service and such. Flashing the h915 kdz isn't a permanent solution. The modem files will not work on an h910 and you will have no service. ATT wont update the device without their sim, so either you root using the h910 guide and grab update files that people dump or roms available, or you can do exactly as you described and use an active ATT sim to periodically update. You're phone is still an h910 in hardware, so rebranding will not allow it to receive updates from another carriers servers. My recommendation is to a buy a phone that was designed for the network it will be used on or a factory unlocked set (us996). Will keep the headaches to a minimum.
Hello. I have unlocked Verizon V20 VS995 and I am in Europe. In the urban areas phone works fine with all frequencies, also 4G B3 and B20 frequency, but when I go just outside town it looses network. Any sugestions?
CDMA LGV20 will suffer with those issues in Europe. So just switching to a native LTE/GSM device is the only way...
But I can't understand why the sognal is so weak when phone supports all the frequencies in my country. I even changed antennas (plastic bumpers) but still the same result.
Simple explanation - it is not a HW issue - the root cause is combination of your modem firmware and stock ROM you are using as the LTE/GSM band usage is set to be with lower priority and the modem constantly searches for the CDMA signal firstly...
So, is there anything to fix this? Maybe flash another rom or modem, if I find somehow to root stock Oreo.
If you are in VS995 really (and please check the sticker indication under your battery for that it should state VS995 only without Sat the end) you can roll back to Nougat via kdz flash and unlock the bootloader via DirtySanta, flash custom recovery and flash afterwards AOSP/LOS based roms.
I think I have VS995 because before ota upgrade to Oreo I have installed few KDZ's from the link without any problem. Can you tell me how can I check ARB version of Oreo?
All Verizon ROMS including Oreo are ARB00
Also you might try flashing Oreo Alpha Omega Hybrid ROM firstly and if not happy than try RR roms...
Tried Alpha Omega ans Lineage 15.1 and the situation is the same. Poor signal strenght.
