My friend has a Fire HD 10 5th gen running OS 5.1.1 and she needs to get a VPN on it so she can still use her Amazon prime account when she is abroad.
Can this be achieved ? Do I need to downgrade to 5.0.1? Is this even possible?

I have a N7 32G 3G 4.2.1 rooted , unlocked bootloader, rom, kernel and launcher STOCK
i wanted the option to create hotspot wifi
As you know this opttion is not naptive
And so i installaed this [MOD][4.2.1/4.2][JOP40D/JOP40C] Tethering/Wifi Hotspot for the Nexus 7 3G that can be downloaded here:

After the installation i am able to create hotspot wifi, set its password, connect to N7's hotspot wifi several other devices (phone, smartphone, PC, etcetera) but ... i cannot surf internet with they :crying:
It is not a matter of kind of profile of my SIM provider (Telecom Italia Mobile = TIM) because i tried to perform the same thing using as hotspot producer an Ipad and ... NO PROBLEM : the same devices connected to IPAD's hotspost wifi can surf internet !!
Have you any idea in order to fix my issue ??

SPECIAL NOTE for all my Italian fellows!
After you unlock/root/custom recovery your nexus 7 and then flash the tethering .zip as suggested by other users in this thread, you would recover your tethering functionality. IF it happens to you to subscribe a Internet 3G carrier like "TIM" (Telecon Italia Mobile), it would also happens that all the devices that you try to connect via wifi tethering to your nexus 7 would do that BUT you without the possibility to navigate properly.
Apparently the problem is specific to the nexus 7 (no problem with apple devices for example) and consist in the "blocked" APN provided by TIM. This app seems to resolve the problem (surely worked for me and other users around italy).

I just got a new motherboard that is on PI3 with a October 31 2016 security date. I looking to do something that will allow me to use the mobile hotspot feature. I have seen that people have downgraded to PE1 or flashed the 930U rom. The only thing i would use root for is to access the hotspot maybe some other things later on. So my question is for user experience what is the best route to go now?

Hi all, somebody know how do a firmware backup from a fire stick?
I have 2 fire sticks
one bought in amazon USA, and another bought in Amazon MX, so the Amazon MX has a different firmware and I can use my amazon prime account on it, while in the amazon USA I can't because the software is not the same.
I want to know if there is a way to copy the firmware from MX to USA.

I'm really on the fench on what to buy here . I want a Shield but I need root access I already own a 4k tv and would like to get the 2019 version however I heard when you enable root hench "Bootloader unlock " It disables AI upscaling . Which is a feature I really want to use. So I'm considering buying the 2015 version . I need suggestion and recommendations thanks XDA .

I have a iffalcon 55k71 model tv, from last 2 weeks i am facing a issue with the tv. The time and date of the tv is automatically going to 2022 when i restart the tv. Because of this my wifi is not getting connected. Is there any solution ?. One more thing from where i can download latest firmware of this model ? Friends plz help me to solve this issue.
