Miui with Safestrap?? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I came across a rom today here
I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be possible to flash it with safestrap?
It does say in the title that it is touchwiz based.
Any thought?

AOKP, AOSP?

I'm running the official aokp 4.2.1 rom on my nexus 10. I was wondering if I were to flash say the paranoid android 3.15 rom which is aosp, would I need to do something special when going from aokp to aosp rom's? Also, was wondering how to update TWRP 2.4.4.0 from an older version of TWRP? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Even though you could have put a little effort into searching for the answer but since you didn't, I'm here.

I don't want to sound like a jackass but Searching for your problem before making a thread would be great

I know how to flash lol. I just didn't know whether there were different steps that I have to follow for flashing AOKP roms and AOSP roms or whether i would have to flash differently when coming from/ going to one to the other lol. Hope I didn't come off as being an a-hole, just was wondering lol

[Q] KK update - am I missing something

Hi, maybe I have too simplistic an understanding of these things but I'm struggling to understand what seems to be a clamour to return to stock/unroot to allow the OTA to 4.4.2. I rooted and installed a custom KitKat ROM to remove the bloatware and to have a similar UI as my Nexus 7.
What would be the advantages of having of having stock 4.4.2 bloatware included ? My thoughts were to hang off until a custom stock KitKat ROM is developed and released, and flash that (if at all, DroidKangv1 is working very well for me on my D802)
Or am I way off the mark here and missing something obvious ?
Cheers,
np

The clamour is that its new. Its the latest and greatest with new things to discover. And new things are awesome. Ive gone back to stock and Im loving it so far, there's a lot of cool features that you miss out on by using aosp roms. There currently is a 4.4 stock rom in the developement section if your keen just be aware that there is no root for it yet.
I actually went back to stock 4.2.2 after experiencing issues using the camera and GPS at the same time on the custom ROM I was using.
If I wanted to flash a stock 4.4 kdz I presume it is the same procedure I used to return to stock but obviously with the correct 4.4 kdz file ?
Cheers.
Yeah correct its the same and its this rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2665985
Theres plenty of info in that thread.
I thought about doing it but the mixed results people got sort of turned me off. And the fact that recovery doesn't work on it.
Should be interesting though.

[Q] S-View and custom ROMs?

are there any efforts on custom ROMs which would support S-View covers and behavior?
Or is this a proprietary thing that is doomed to only ever be in the stock ROM?
I am wondering if trying custom ROMs will mean losing this feature?
Infoport
S-View covers on custom ROMs should work fine, they do on the Note 3 also. - so long as you are using Touchwiz based ROMs at least.

Stock marshmallow rom search

Hey! So I was wondering if there's a full functional marshamllow rom out there? preferably something super barebones. I have an AT&T LG G2 and I've been having trouble intalling CM so I was going to go for something else in hopes that it would work a little better.
Thanks!
First of all - this should be in Q&A section.
No, there is no stock marshmallow, and for 99.99% there won't be any. If you want MM then the only choice for you is CM-based ROM. There are plenty of them HERE.
