Nexus 6P Random Reboots. - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
I've had quite a few issues with my Nexus, finally figured out what was causing the issuee, but i have now been greeted with a new problem...
I recently installed a new ROM and kernal (pure nexus ROM with the gods kernal) it's all running as it should be, but the issue i now how is reboots, my phone randomly reboots and shuts down, not sure what is causing the issue. There's no error upon rebooting though. Just freezes and reboots randomly when it wants too...
Hoping someone could help me with this issue, would be much appreciated!
Thanks

maybe post in the rom thread, see if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

Nexus.
Heya,

[Q] Random reboot issue

I have a fairly new Aria (about 3 months old). It has been rooted with Liberated ROM 3 & 4, and now the CM6 Froyo. Every since I rooted the phone it just randomly reboots, and sometimes it will get into a reboot loop until I pull the battery for a few minutes. The phone seems to run warm to the touch, and when I'm in the sun it seems to accelerate the problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone have any recommendations? I just find it hard to believe it is an over heating issue!
Thanks to everyone that donates their time HELPing out others!
I dont think its overheating .. i read this in the at & T and also htc website forum that its a hardware issue and customer service guys are offering replacements for such devices if you are under warranty .. I had one of my client devices which did the same .

after i rooted it started rebooting about once a day randomly

[Q] GT7510 32gb keeps switching off

Hi
Has anyone experienced that the tablet switches off constantly with out any any specific reason?
I could easily surf or read an email without switching off.. but then i would watch a movie and it switch off instantly or the other way around and its not even shutting down.. it just goes from powered on, to completely switched off.. It does not get hot and it does charge perfectly and the battery level does not drop/discharge radically.. it has never been dropped or manhandled. and it started doing last week
I'm on stock 3.2 PDA:KMP CSC:KMP (XAB), not rooted..
Any ideas, suggestions?
Thanks in advance

I used to own a Galaxy Tab plus 7.0, which experienced this known problem of random reboot and/or sleep of death. You could google that to find out more.
I've since returned it for a refund. Then I picked up this used P7500 a month ago. It has not experienced not even one reboot. Sure, apps do crash from time to time, but the OS never completely froze.
How long have you owned your unit? If relatively new, I would returned it. If for a while, and only recently you experienced the problem, then I would do a factory wipe, or at least re-trace your steps and uninstall the last few apps. Also, ask yourself whether the problem is already related to certain apps. If so, get rid of those apps.
hi
Did a complete wipe.. so now its close as possible to factory default..
Could it be a battery calibration error? it works plugged in to either pc or wall socket.. works 10min after but then switches of randomly
Thanks for all the help/suggestions so far really appreciate it!
I know some mentioned the option of returning it.. But its bought in the US and im located in Denmark!

Galaxy Tab 10.1 Screen flickering.

Hey guys,
Not sure if anyone had thing kinda problem before. I have tried searching but to be honest, I don't even know what I'm searching for so here goes...
I got this problem with the screen when turning on the Galaxy tab as seen in the linked video.
If I turn it off and turn it back on, it works without issues but once I lock it and try to use it again, the screen goes wild again.
I think it started happening a week or so ago when i updated to the Official ICS ROM, and ever since then, I tried different ROMs but the issue stays with any ROM I flash from now.
Is this Modem or kernel related? I have not touched any of those yet.

Any help is Appreciated and thanks in advance.
I had a similar problem 2 months after buying mine. to send and they had diagnosed it as a bad video controller. The parts were on back order and after 5 weeks they just sent me a new one.
When it started it would happen every couple of days somtimes randomly and sometimes after coming back from lock but by about 3 weeks after 1st seeing the problem it was happening every time I had it on for more than 1/2 hour. If you are still under warranty I would call support right away.
Good luck

[Q] Anyone Else Experiancing Frequent Lock Ups?

Hi
I'm on my 2nd N4 after the first one developed a case fault. I had no problems with that one when using Minco or PA.
However this one seems to have a habbit of becoming completely unresponsive at least once every couple of days. The only way to bring it back on is to hold the power button in for a few seconds and then reboot it.
I will be putting it back to stock tonight and giving it more of a chance. But I thought i'd ask and see if anyone else has experienced this type of issue or knows if it's a sign of a more serious problem such as the red light of death.
Thanks

I did actually experience this when I'm on stock 4.2.1 out of the box state, rooted and custom recovery.
transfered to PA for a couple of days and reflashed stock images from google site. after going back from PA to Stock I haven't experienced the lock up/screen unresponsive yet. hopefully it flashing back from PA to stock fixed this.
I've been using my phone for a month with rooted stock rom, custom kernel, unlocked bootloader, custom recovery, busybox and there's no single lag or lockups. Maybe you got a bad phone. I hope it can be fixed though.
I have a rooted stock ROM, unlocked bootloader, I don't have busybox permanently installed because I use apps that require a 'unrooted' phone but I have Stephen Stericson busybox installer at the ready.
I've not had a single lockup since I bought this phone.

[Q] Recent App menu bug

OK so I been flashing ROMs for nexus 4 for the past week. All of them that I tried have that flickering buggy recent app flash even though I know I cleared them out. The very last app keeps flashing itself back on and disappearing. I have put in bug reports and I still have yet to hear why this is happening. I know a lot of users are experiencing this too. My question is can somebody, anybody give me a explanation as to why this is happening. I'm a very smart person so please do not try to baby talk me down. Somebody
has to know. I'd appreciate any answers.
