[CM13] Getting a Vibration switch and Ambient Display - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to bring back the vibration switch in Quick Settings (as it used to be on KitKat)? Most of the time I just put my phone on the desk, so I am constantly annoyed by how vibration works on Marshmallow.
Sometimes I want to completely silence the phone without turning Do Not Disturb On. Sometimes I want just sound notifications with no vibration. But it seems that I can't manage my vibration settings on the go, whether via Quick Settings or CM profiles. Is there any Xposed module for that? I tired True Silent Mode, but it did nothing for me – I guess it's not optimized for 6.0.
By the way, is there any way to get Ambient Display on CM13? The Xposed module does not work and I do not want to install a buggy app such as AcDisplay or Dynamic Notifications.

HTC One M8 + Marshmallow + Sense 7.0 + silent & do not disturb

Hi all,
I just upgraded my m8 to ARHD 53.1 and it’s my first try of Android 6.0. Works really great, but I get very confused from silence vs do not disturb and why it’s so convoluted.
I think there’s a large consensus that they just can’t seem to get that feature right. I’m not against change, but it seems that the simplest scenarios got messed up:
1) I have the sound mode and DND buttons in my quick settings.
2) I’m actually only interested in two modes and that’s it: a) normal - all notifications b) silence with exceptions (certain contacts that can wake me up and alarm. All silence other than that). I think that it shouldn’t be too much to ask for.
3) If I set DND to priority, it changes the mode to silent and everything’s cool, I get mode (b). I can get back to mode (a) by pressing the sound mode or DND button - works. I can also toggle DND again to get back to (a). BUT, if I press the sound mode button by mistake and go to silence that way, it turns on DND with ON instead of priority and it will never get back to priority unless I go into settings on change it back!! Why?? And why link those two features together in the first place.. I see no reason to not have the option for vibrate sound mode with DND on (for the exceptions).
I’m pretty sure that this is just the way it is, and there’s nothing that can be done in the settings, but if anyone knows of an xposed module that unlinks DND from sound mode or something like that, that will be awesome…
Thanks!

System Vibration

Hello.
I'm using a rooted Verizon s5 running lollipop. Is there a way to disable system vibration like jellybean had? Even if in app settings vibration is turned off, notifications still vibrate. It's quite annoying. Is it possible to enable the normal vibration mode, where system doesn't dictate what vibrates, in lollipop? Possibly some kind of xposed module or app?

Software Do Not Disturb

Hello,
Whilst replacing my screen, I broke the slider. Now the phone is stuck in DND mode. I've changed the DND settings so I can hear rings and notifications, but it still sucks.
Is there any way to get the phone to ignore the slider and use software based DND?
I've had a look through the settings and I don't think there is an easy way. I'm running OOS 3.5.5, but I'm not opposed to trying something else (eg: cyanogen or lineage) or installing xposed...
Thanks in advance!

Performace mode notification is driving me crazy!

Ever since Nougat update (unrooted) on my S7 Edge, I continuously get notified that performance option is on. I'm not an idiot. I know that performance is on. I turned it on. How can I get rid of that notification or any like it? I have disabled all "services" notifications but it doesn't seem to help. It's really making me nuts. Please tell me there is a way to quiet this without rooting? thx...
if its not system notification just disable them, on MM I remember you had an option to never ask again
It is a system notification and when you turn those notifications off it still pushes through. I've long pressed it and what comes up is services and turning all notifications off doesn't keep it quiet. It comes back seemingly randomly.
Has anyone found a solution to this? Its freaking annoying. Had the phone almost 2 years. I know high performance mode is on....

Enough Vibration

So I've seen posts about this a time or two but why can I not get the vibration off. Turns off just fine on most custom ROMs and on APB2, but on stock oreo especially it DOES. NOT. TURN. OFF. Here is what ive done:
1) Turned off the haptic feedback in settings
2) gone into notification preferences at turn it off
3) gone into Emergency settings and turned off
4) gone into phone and message app and turned off there
5) used the appops com.android.stopfreakingvibrating set VIBRATE ignore
6) used xposed module to adjust vibration
7) turned off vibration in EX Kernel Manager app
ive heard this is a known bug. If true the apathy from the google powers that be should be ashamed. Plus, whether its the Hz rate or the ceramic or something else, the PH-1 has the most obnoxious vibration of any phone i've ever held. Unless I go to the extent of changing ROMs I cant get it to go away. Forgive me for wanting a phone to , you know, work. Somewhere in all of my pissing and moaning this post is to ask the question how do i turn it off, like really turn it off? . I'm anxiously hoping someone has an answer .
