So I recently got this phone and I'm running it on Verizon. I wanted to start using Moto Voice but it seems that when I go to use it it has been shut off... I can't figure this out I'm stock and haven't messed with rooting or unlocking... Yet anyone know what's up with Moto Voice shutting down on its own? I have to launch the Moto app and tick the option to back on but eventually will turn off on me

I noticed that the Note 3 suffers from the same Talkback bug that older builds of the GS4 had. After connecting my Pebble and enabling accessibility settings, it disables a bunch of TouchWiz features (which you can turn back on) and turns on voice feedback (in browser, you get "page loading" and "page loaded" when browsing).
I was able to defeat this by rooting and then using Titanium backup to freeze Talkback and Samsung TTS services. Everything else is working normally.
The Galaxy Mega 6.3 didn't have this issue. I wish Samsung would find this bug and squash it once and for all.

My galaxy gear did this to me also. There is a few options to turn it off as I did mine. Sadly I don't remember what they were. I'll look around and see what I can come up with for those of us that don't want to root
Edit: accessibility settings is where you can turn it off scroll down to talk back and turn it off. For mine I had to double tap the on/off button for it to actually turn off. I also had to turn off the fb quick view for it to completely go away. Hope that helps

Probably best this goes here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466099
I just realized, after about 4 months, that I haven't been getting voicemails. Upon searching I found my voicemail app turned off but the "turn on" button is greyed out and I can not turn it back on. Any idea how to get this back on? Here is a screenshot. Thanks in advance.

i did the same thing with the visual vm service cause it wasnt working and i tried freezing and unfreezing.. but it wouldn't unfreeze. i had to download an app called APP QUARANTINE.. which was the only one that reenabled it (with root).. dunno why but it worked. the option to "turn on" wasn't available for some reason.

Wrong post. ignore.
Any time I use moto voice and it has to pass the query on to Google Now Google Now always pops up with I didn't recognize that.
It was working the first day I had the phone, but stopped working day 2 and has stayed that way. I have tried rebooting the phone.
Although Moto Voice was working fine for me, I turned it off. "OK Google" does the exact same thing and Moto Voice only creates additional overhead. Saves a little battery to cut out a middleman .

Are you sure you have Google now setup. If so clear app cache of both moto assist and Google now, reboot. If not uninstall and reinstall. Otherwise post #2 sums up what I would do if problem persists.
I have seen the same behaviour. A reboot fixes it. Not optimal IMHO.

So I just took the update and when I go to unlock my phone half the time I have to now use my swipe pattern to unlock and not just my fingerprint. I get a message saying that my pattern is required for additional security. It only happens about half the time.
Friggin annoying and I'm hoping that there is a fix or setting I'm missing. It wasn't like this before the update.
Suggestion??

Works fine for me. I have a different complaint. The network extender I was forced to purchase to recieve calls in my home no longer connects with my phone. It was supposed to help.
I think I figured out the issue. I have a double tap to sleep setup via Nova launcher. When o put the phone to sleep that way my fingerprint doesn't work.
Well that sucks!!!

yup these "security updates" completely ruined double tap to wake, and now our s7 is just like every other carrier in that it doesn't work anymore. awesome!

Hello, what happens is that having activated this option there are times when I unlock the phone and the bar stands alone for a few moments and then hides again, I do not like that and wanted to know if there is a solution for it. Thank you.
it's normal in stock, i don't know if it's getting fixed in 8.1
I would not say it's normal, I use my device in one button mode all the time and never had this issue.
