Hi, I've installed ePSXe and have tried to run some roms all load and work perfectly but the default Nvidia controller buttons only work when you hold them down for like 2secs, making most games impossible to play. For example, When I'm playing crash bandicoot, to get him to jump I can't just press A for him to jump, I have to hold it down for a bit then he will jump. Very frustrating!
What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I havetried to play games on my phone that use the hardware buttons and found the experience to be somewhat frustrating.
It seems that the hardware buttons are restricted in their responsiveness. By this I mean that two keys cannot be pressed at once. Also, if a second key is pressed too soon after the first key is released, the the phone thinks the first key is still pressed.
This makes playing games like pinball hopeless.
Is this a hardware limitation of the phone, or could a software 'tweak' help?
Cheers
just now I bought bluetooth keyboard for PC and I want to try it on this PDA if it is better as standard HW keyboard on PDA. e.g. doom is terrible to play with keyboard on tytn...

A software option to improve things was looked at a long time ago but the hardware does not support what you are looking for on the built in keys.

Cheers fellas. Such a shame really as a large number of pda games will be unplayable because of this.

Now this might be a little different as I have a Hermes 100 (8525) in the US but I can get two button presses using my keyboard instead of the d-pad.
It took a minute to figure out, as morphgear does not support landscape mode, but I open it halfway up so that the magnet is not tripped to rotate the screen. But if you do this remember that UDLR are still oriented to the portrait mode, even though you changed the screen orientation to west to view in landscape....This was like a rubics cube for me, it took me over an hour to figure out what was going on.
So left becomes up, right becomes down, down becomes left, and up becomes right... weird huh?
But I do play all sorts of NES and SNES, Sega, GG, GameBoy, etc. on morphgear and can run holding down right and fire a gun at the same time with another keyboard button...
Of course I've got an Herm100 (8525).....
guys, help me with this. controller is already paired with my N7. but for some reason, the buttons will not work. ie. i tried playing tekken and only the d-pad works. NONE of the other buttons work. am i missing something?
My tegra note is updated to KitKat, whenever I plug in my 360 controller or ps3 or moga controller to map any game with the gamepadmapper: example ravensword gangstar Vegas, the stick and keys work ok for a few seconds and then get stuck don't work or keep getting pressed automaticlly . why is this happening on every game
does anyone have this issue with gamepad mapper?
Although games run pretty much great on my device on the PPSSPP emulator, the buttons are not working properly.
What I mean by that is when I press directly above, say, the X button, the button doesn't activate.
Same goes for all the buttons in the virtual touch controller.
I have to press a bit to the left of each button to register the touch, which makes playing irritating. (check the attachment to understand better)
I'm on Android 7.1.1, tested latest stable and test build of PPSSPP, both produced the same result.
I also went all the way back to 1.0 version but no dice.
Tested the touchscreen itself through Android developer mode-> Show pointer location and it was working as it should, so the phone is not to blame either.
Tried to change touch settings but couldn't manage to fix it.
What did work but it's not sufficient was the Retroarch application using PPSSPP core, the buttons worked just fine, but this is not a viable solution because the core in Retroarch is a really old version of PPSSPP.
So long story short help me, I tried anything I could think of and I'm stuck.
Have a nice day.
I fixed it.
If anyone wants to know how, a Redditor gave me the idea.
You just have to force the on screen navigation buttons and it will work nicely.

I've been looking for a couple hours all over the internet and can't find a solution. I've tried three different controllers, an Xbox One controller, a MOGA Pro Power controller, and an 8bitdo NES30 Pro, each suffers from the same problem. In almost every app, pushing the far right face button (B on Xbox) issues a "back" command, same as pushing the back button on the device itself. This will close out of any menus I'm trying to interact with, or in some cases close the entire game. To say the least, this is extremely annoying and game ruining. Does anyone know why this is happening? LEX720, Lineage 15.1.
