You have to extract the NON-HLOS.bin file and flash it manually. That'll fix your WiFi.

Just realized this may be in the wrong section.
This is not a custom Rom.

are you sure it's 'flashable zip' or your 'system nandroid backup folder compressed as zip'?

?
Don't think you can flash a nandroid compressed as a zip...
This is a flashable zip.
Do you have virgin mobile?
Would love to have feedback...I will begin to remove bloat and add root as well.

It's a bit of work..
Basically you need to extract system.ext4.win from backup and create a system.new.dat and create a zipped package
what is virgin mobile?
i know only moto mobile
Has anyone flashed this?
I'm curious if it's working OK for people.
I am still new to this aspect...its worked fine for me so far but just want to be sure it actually works for others.
Thanks

Im going to try it tomarow after work . i will report back [emoji1]
It definitely works. I did have to call virgin and get them to walk me through how to restore my service which was as simple as updating my profile. Other than that though, all went well. Thanks a lot.
This worked great for me. Was having many issues with my phone, so much that I wanted to send for a replacement. Fortunately this rom sorted them out. Thanks @hossman

Many thanks! I rooted, then used Titanium Backup to remove some bloatware and to integrate updates into ROM... but for some reason most of the apps that supposedly integrated into ROM were simply deleted, including launcher, keyboard, and play store.
This got me back to stock which I rooted, and now am working again.
can't seem to get it to work. boots up and everything but i get to the wifi setup page and click my network and it goes onto to "checking connection" page then says "couldn't connect to the internet" i've tried skipping and it says the same, no luck. any ideas?
Works great on my VM variant of the xt1548. Great way to return to stock experience after testing or tiring of custom builds. Using a Data Done Right VM variant with the free unlimited data "loophole". This ROM maintains connectivity to the loophole with just a couple build.prop edits. Great work.

Boot.img for XT1642 ROOT

Hello, I followed the root guide (Believe me I have tried every boot.img mentioned) and I cannot get my wifi to work.
I think this is because most of the models are XT1643 or XT1640?
Is there any way someone can help me get my wifi back!?
Thanks in advance (I'm posting here because I don't have the 10 posts yet)
Hello I have the same problem. did you find the way of how to solve it?
regards

I have also an XT1642 successful but never encountered wifi issues. Which root guide did you follow? And why did you flash boot.img when you want root? You only need to unlock bootloader and then flashed TWRP and supersu or a rooted rom

Accidentally flashed wrong firmware!!

Hi everyone, I am confused as to what to do with my moto g4 plus. Actually motorola had released an update which lowered my notification and ringtone volume. Sometimes it wasn't even audible, so I decided to restore the stock rom. I downloaded xt-1643 firmware since that is my model number. After flashing that firmware I suddenly couldn't access recovery mode. My phone did boot up but it was stuck on the searching Wi-Fi screen and I couldn't even skip it. What should I do? Pls someone give me a potential solution asap. Thank you!!

I don't know which one to download. My model number is xt-1643 but when I downloaded and flashed that this thing happened. And the link of filefactory doesn't start the download at all. Can you please suggest me something else?

Can you please provide me the link for xt-1643 please? I am somehow not being able to get the correct link and whenever I get one it is either blocked or for another firmware. I need the stock rom for my indian variant. It would be really helpful. Thanks

I used a vpn and connected to filefactory successfully. But stock roms for moto g4 plus aren't there. There is only for moto g3 and the older ones.
Flash the ROM from this link. Its the latest one for 1643. Directions are given in the thread.

Can't flash stock ROM. XT1768

I downloaded a stock ROM in a attempt to get my camera working again and when I try to flash it in Twrp it says "invalid zip file format". I got the ROM from https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto E4/Stock/

That is because those are not twrp flashable roms. They need to be flashed with fastboot. I suggest doing a little reading and make sure you know what your doing before you brick your phone.
Unzip the file and install it with rsdlite

There are plenty of guides like this around that you can use. It only took me about 30 seconds to find it. Put in a little effort and try to figure things out for yourself and your more likely to get help around here if you still have problems. Google and the search feature in every forum here are your friends.

The last 8 posts or so have your answer.

Moto E4 XT1764 need stock boot.img

I just need the file, the variant is not in firmware center so if you have one of these phones I will really appreciate if you can make a backup of it and send it to me
