hello I had my moto x play xt1562 rooted with this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/general/untested-how-to-root-moto-x-play-t3211941
I was using cm13 for maybe 3-4 months and then I decided to unroot it.
I followed this procedure: https://theunlockr.com/2015/09/22/how-to-unroot-the-motorola-moto-x-play/
but after rebooting my phone was stuck on bootloader unlocked page and every once in a while an android logo would come up with 'erasing' label.
I tried again but the same happened then I flashed twrp again and flashed cm13 as before.
but now it won't detect my sim-card any of it. both the sim are not working.
in unrooting procedure there were some modem/radio files flashing. i believe that has something to do with the issue in my phone.
can anyone please help me solve this. my phone is as good as a brick without simcards.
did you try flashing 1562 stock radio?

hey one more question.
how can I flash this rom.
I mean with the same procedure explained on 'theunlockr.com' ??
Yes, just unzip the file and make sure you've got the same number of sparsechunk files - if there's any difference make sure you flash all of them.

Hi all,
I receive a lot of private messages about root for Nougat from this website:
http://www.androidinfotech.com/2017/06/root-sony-xperia-xa-ultra-nougat.html
DON'T CLIC ON IT, IT'S A CLICBAIT!
I never released anything for Nougat so please don't ask me why it doesn't work, it's only a scam to win money from ads.
If you can't find my work on Xda you will not find it anywhere.
Is there now for root this phone with nougat?

Hi, technically root is possible, I have it but not released to the public. Why? Because nobody supported my work and as you can see my root guide have only 29 thanks. You will have to wait for a release from an other user or maybe if my guide reaches 100 thanks (don't count on it).
Damn...
I had TA dumped the day I got it and I am ready to root it.
Well, I have to return it because there no root on 7

DRM fix with TA dump doesn't work on Nougat, bootloop at Sony logo (tested on XA Ultra)
The only good news it that SafetyNet is OK with Magisk Manager app v5.0.4 and zip v13.1 on Nougat.

I'm not nervous but politeness is a minimum when someone spend some time for you, it's not normal to ask for any thank. I talk about my root guide (and root files). I was silly to think this, now I learned a good lesson: work for yourself and you will not have to wait for any thank.

Me ? I never said to go back to 6.0. Maybe it's your fault because you forgot to exclude TA parts of the firmware or you didn't used the fsc script or you used an old version of Flashtool? I downgraded/flashed my devices many times and never got any problems.

Agreed. I rolled back to 6.0 2 times without problems. Btw. I have a spare Z1 and I accidentally flashed those .ta files but they did no harm. I think they are useless even when flashed.

I successfully flashed to 6.0 (.160), but after I flashed your kernel from dev section and it has bootloop problem (from either rootpack or individual). Should I flash to earlier version? My choice is
Customized LAM (.182, 7.0)
Customized US (.182, 7.0)
Customized Peru (.160, 6.0)
Service Exchange Unit (.111, 6.0)
Please continue your work, and I always give thanks once I found it's working.
----- update -----
I sucessfully flashed to Service Exchange Unit (.111, 6.0) and everything worked as it's supposed to be, and rooted with SuperSU (but I will move to Magisk in the future)

You quoted wrong person. If you flash an older kernel over a new firmware, you get bootloop. I had that too.
I really wish I could do such coding to compile both boot and recovery because XA Ultra is really awesome, but you have to catch up with version.

Your post is in the correct forum (Yep - G4 Play; don't understand @strongst's response). Unfortunately, don't have a fix as I would not have followed that procedure. Not saying it was 'wrong' just would have gone a different path. Which variant do you have (eg: X1607)?

You should check if your bootloader can be unlocked, visit the website of Motorola or research in Google. If you bought your phone in Amazon I don´t recomend you to unlock it because you will damage it as I did with mine.

At present there are no known root exploits for Moto's stock ROM if bootloader isn't eligible for unlocking.

Then your bootloader remains unlocked. Root with the tool of your choice; most favor Magisk. Also pay attention to format of data partition (ext4 or f2fs) and encryption status. Both are considerations when rooting systemlessly.

No - because if you're asking then you likely don't have the skills/experience to get yourself out of trouble if something goes wrong. And it likely will with this device. Suggest you consult rooting threads in the G4P help section along with those for the Moto E4 which is similar and came with Nougat 7.1.1. I have one of those; not the easiest pup to root. Boot looped twice before I got things sorted. Been doing this a long time, did my homework and still ran into issues.
Unrooted Nougat isn't horrible. Enjoy your *working* device while figuring out if/how to root it. Waiting for a guide specific to this device might be your best bet.

Has anybody that's rooted gotten Viper4android working?
I'm using the T-Mobile edition and applied for my unlock bin yesterday but plan on rooting once I unlock the bootloader, I read that some people were having issues and I wanted to see if somebody was able to successfully install it and possibly the steps they used in order to install it. I'm tired if carrying around 3 phones everyday (personal, work, rooted ZTE Zmax that's seen better days)
