*PLEASE NOTE: This is based on my own experience and outcomes may vary if you install CM13*
I installed Cyanogenmod 13 on my H815 LG G4 on the 22nd December and at first I was impressed. I loved the battery life and the performance wasn't compromised. I bought the LG G4 due to the amazing camera and it was a shame that the stock camera couldn't be ported over to CM13. OpenCamera (LG G4 specific) was flashed onto my phone as well and even though I was losing a lot of functionality, the quality was almost the same. I also like how you can update the phone through the built in updater; the only downside being that if you do this, you need to flash the OpenCamera (G4) again but fortunately, if you do upgrade, no data is lost .
I played the following games on the phone to test to see if there is any noticeable improvement in experience:
Clash Of Clans
Piano Tiles 2
AA
Minecraft
and there were no issues at all. All of the games seemed very smooth and it provided a very enjoyable experience.
However after a few days, I realised that I wasn't getting any texts or calls; I have tried replacing the SIM card with a different one but that didn't work. I also tried re-installing Stock Android and CM13 but still no luck. I also tried resetting the APNs but that didn't work either. After playing around with my phone, I realised that calls and texts would work on normal android but not on CM13. Right now it seems that only third party applications work so if you are facing a similar problem I recommend Textra.
Ultimately, I think that CM13 is a great custom ROM but this phone/text bug needs to be resolved for this to be my daily driver. I have reverted back to stock android with the LG UI and even though, the UI kills the system, this will remain my daily driver until a snapshot comes out.
If you have any questions or regards feel free to message me and ask. If you have any complaints or criticisms of my review please be nice:laugh:
Most devices with CM13 are experiencing various bugs, more so right now due to the fact CM13 development can still be considered in it's infancy.
If you must, go ahead and run it, every day bugs are getting squashed.
Two questions, have you tried running Xposed on it?
And do you have any problems with it detecting your external SD card? (If you have one)

Question 1:
I've tried using FlashFire to install Xposed but it kept saying enumerating partitions. I'm kind of afraid to flash it using TWRP so I stayed away from it. I wouldn't recommend it until a proper release comes out though.
Question 2:
I don't have any problems detecting my SD card but if you do it could possibly be resolved by reinstalling cm13 or possibly even getting a different SD card (I'm using a Kingston micro sd SDHC 16gb).
I'm running cm 13 with the latest nightly and xposed. Not many issues I've found, now that the Bluetooth wakelock and exfat issues have been fixed.

How about device encryption? Does it work with CM 13? Most important feature for me on any phone, before I can consider flashing any rom this must work flawless. Did you try to encrypt your device while running CM 13!
P.S.I thank Google for finally make device encryption mandatory on Marshmallow Devices!

I haven't tried it but I think it should work. I wouldn't recommend if you are a tinkerer because it makes it harder to install things like xPosed and Busybox.
Tell me about it. Rooting and installing Xposed on my Stock LG G4 was quite messy. But it works. WITH Device encryption. As no encryption is a no go for me I would like to know if anyone actually tried it?!
as far asi'm concerned,my own opinion ,i really think that cyanogemod is a regression with hight devices like ours ...
i was fan in the past with JB and KK with low and middles phones .....but not with LP/MM stocks firmwares ,flashing a cm ,i'm feeling totally depressed now..
And i don't support to loose the camera&video qualities (i have feebacks to peoples who have said that this one is HORRIBLE on cm13 ! )...i don't like to loose stock components too....
i hate cm politic with his one year of development (merged,changed,cancel....many parts of rom all the time) with recurent and/or periodic buggs....
But for a best cm rxperience,i think that it's much more better to flash LP cm12.1 because "stable" and complete in theory after this year
"For me" ,the best thing is : a stock firmware rooted + some apps freezed + eventuals xposed + kernel custom for betters battery-life/performance/good parameters(with K aduitor)
But i respect android devs,i always have eternal recognition. !
How are things going with CM13 on the G4 now? I'm getting one this week, and would really like to install CM13. Don't wanna do it if there is missing functionality though, as it will be my daily driver.
Make sure you get a h811 or h815 model or youll be ****ed for any CM root is good on any device but only currently are those models unlocked and running custom firm.

Shot! Yeah, h815P is the one sold in my country (South Africa). Is there a difference between h815 and h815P?
Also, does the stock camera work or will I need to use the Google one?

You are not listening what the others are saying: unless you buy h815 or h815, there is no Cm13 possibility. H815P does no qualify to unlock bootloader and install CM13. So questions about the stock camera on CM13 are irrelevant at this point. But to answer your question, no, stock camera is not working on CM13.

I am listening to what others are saying, and was asking if h815P is the same as h815, and, for example, is just labelled differently because it's sold in a different region. Other ROM-related questions are entirely relevant, as the ROM, if it doesn't work at this point, may at a later stage.

Hey Guys,
Here is an extracted boot.img, recovery.img, and sboot.bin from the I467UCAMF1 firmware... they have since updated to I467UCAMF2 OTA via AT&T, but it might be worth still looking into making a root/recovery for the MF1 version or possibly seeing if it will also work on MF2 or if it is possible to downgrade via ODIN.

Hi DanMc85,
Have you already root your i467? I'm about to buy one today but would like to know if we will see some new ROMS from XDA, etc. Could you confirm to me that your i467 is LTE like Canadians one?
Thanks,
JmCourir.

Nobody made a custom recovery or ROM for this device. Rest in Pieces Note 8.0.
Bricked it, Reflashed JB, Bricked it, Reflashed JB, Updated to kitkat, Tried to reflash JB, failed.
:crying: RIP :crying:
I know this is an old thread, but I just can't let go of this tablet! I need a tablet that is not too big or too small so that I can take notes with it. A 10" tablet gets heavy in your hand after a while. Further, very few tablets come with a built-in stylus. If I have to carry an extra stylus, I would either forget or lose it. In fact, I read a 2017 report that Note 8.0 is considered one of the best tablets for note taking! Enough promotion for this aging (4-year-old) device. Now the reality...
Until anyone comes up with a bootloader exploit, the SGH-I467 (AT&T version)'s obituary is essentially written. Yes, you can root it with KingoRoot. Since it's one-click, it cannot get simpler. However, if you can't bypass the bootloader, you are stuck with 4.4.2.
However, the Canadian version (SGH-I467M) has an unlocked bootloader. If anyone would just port a kernel for this tablet, it would give this one many more years of life. Even with the GT-N5120 Lineage OS 14.1 ROM and Boeffla kernel, I can get LTE connection and Nougat out of the box. Light sensor and MIC are still broken, which is expected since this is N5120's kernel. N5120 has two MICs and proximity sensor while I467M has only one MIC and no proximity sensor. I assume N5120's kernel on an I467M would be looking for the wrong MIC and there is some correlations between the proximity and light sensors. Bluetooth is also broken. I don't have explanation for it. I can't explain either why Boeffla kernel would enable the LTE connection since the European radio bands are different than the North American ones. I'm happy it's fixed though! The native kernel from the 14.1 Lineage OS can never establish the radio link though it does see the SIM and IMEI. (The 13.0 LOS cannot detect the IMEI and SIM at all and Boeffla in this case cannot fix it either.)
I am not a developer, but if anyone is willing to port a kernel for SGH-I467M to work with LOS 14.1, I'd be happy to be your beta tester. Thank you

SGH-I467 (NOT I467M, the Canadian version) has a locked bootloader. Once it is upgraded to KitKat, you cannot go back to JB! When I used to hack SGH-I467, I downloaded the -AMF1 firmware (the only one in circulation), thinking if anything went wrong, I could always re-flash with this official firmware. Boy, I learned my lesson when I bricked it. Since mine already had Kitkat, this official JB firmware in circulation is useless. I almost sold it for parts until I came across someone on eBay offering the KitKat firmware!

It's funny Samsung released the kernel source code for a tablet with a locked bootloader. What can you do with it? I think they are doing it for the sake of fulfilling their open source obligation.
On the other hand, if SGH-I467 and SGH-I467M share very similar kernel, I can imagine someone can port it for SGH-I467M. I am actively looking for a kernel for the Canadian version, I467M, to extend the life of my Note 8.0
I have both I467 and GT-N5110, and are both on the latest 4.4.2 introduced last year about this time.
I am not a dev, but since owning the two devices, i have modded my tablets to be nearly identical. The GT-N5110 has Boeffla kernel and the I467 is stock.
Both run circles around any developed ROM, as for 10 hours of use on battery and no issues, plus mods from S5, Tab 4 and wee mods never released in any developed firmwares to complete a full featured gallery, and allow color blind, interactive control and grey scale mode.
It took messing with 5 different roms and combining missing systrm files for adding hidden features in stock framework and touch wiz.
Only needed a wee mod to remove the few stage fright mp4 issues to button up left over security issues.

Hi All
excuse my ignorance but is it possible to flash n910T stock firmware
on n910w8 as both are snapdragon LTE varients?
So in other words I want to go from ANJ3 stock firmware to ANJ7 stock firmware..
My Note 4 is rooted with cwm recovery and I understand that i'll loose the root and
cwm recovery if I flash the stock firmware and I am totally fine with that.
Please let me know, Much appreciated!

Anyone?
I'd hold off for now until development shows a bit more and people understand it a bit better. On the Note 3 for example you could flash any of the SNAPDRAGON N9005 ROMS on any of the devices, only difference was you had to install the kernel for your device.
EXAMPLE : Flash an N900T ROM onto your W8 would be OK but you'd have to flash the W8 kernel to get it to boot and work (wifi/signal etc).
EDIT: Just re-read, Stock isn't possible via ODIN as it changes the system and boot partitions are different, however with Custom ROMS my explanation is OK

Thanks for your detailed reply bud,
I guess i'll have to wait like you suggested. Only reason I wanted to switch firmware is because I find note 4 very laggy with the Canadian (n910w8) firmware. I know it's not my device because I've played with 3-4 different note4s and they are all the same. I've also gotten rid of most of the bloatware. Had a T-mobile note 3 prior to this and that was blazing fast with stock rom (bloatware disabled not removed). Not sure what the deal is with Note4s, i truly hope a future firmware update will fix the lag.

Yeah but when? I am infuriated and frustrated with my Note 4. I experience lag and complete sh*t wifi performance. I feel like I've been ripped off for buying this crap that isn't even throughly tested before shipping.
Samsung announces 9.56 Billion Dollars $9,560,000,000 profit in 2013 and yet they can't make a f***king stable phone to ship. Absolutely pathetic. At least Apple patches and pushes iOS fixes literally within a week. I don't expect to see an update to the SM-N910W8 for weeks if not months from now. On the Note 3 they were few and far between.
What a waste of money (and no I can't return it store policy used over 30 minutes of talk / 50 MB of data yeah yeah canadian carriers are rape and they get away with it so don't go down that road).

Glad you confirmed that all the devices in the store are also affected. Its rarely a hardware issue despite what people say "Return it and the new one didn't have it" more or less those people just aren't perceptive enough and believe what they want.
I was wondering, I would love to switch to Sprint or tmobile but I don't get 4g coverage were I live, is there a way to make a tmobile or Sprint note 4 get 4g lte from Verizon's towers, would it be possable to flash a different radio would that work. Thanks

If you are still running the official stock before lollipop it is a definite improvement, however LG should be releasing the actual official release here sooner (starts trying not to laugh) or later.
Oh who am I kidding, we aren't seeing the official update until fall here in the states for the V500.
LG's non phone updates are difficult to forecast to say the least. They seem to be primarily focusing on their phones (G2, G3 and now the G4) the tablet business appears to be an afterthought.
The QPair stuff seems to finally be working for me after testing this weekend. In previous situations it could not handle disconnections and reconnections very well. Now that both devices are running lollipop and the latest version of QPair things seem to be working better... In addition my problem with SDCard's perpetually unmounting on stock 4.4.2 appears to have gone away with lollipop. My problem after a long amount of research, only occurred when the pad sleeps in a certain way. I do not have to root and disable a certain sleep mode anymore with the new release (so far with one week of testing the Korean v500 release).

Can u be more precise about the issue? I didn't understand what you're trying to say.
I'm gonna update with the Korean version as I can no longer wait for the update, but time is preventing me
There is a thread about it.... Basically the sdcard starts unmounting uncontrollably. It is now (as of this evening) confirmed to still be present in the Korean release. Which means as before I will avoid the LG built kernel... If you want you can monitor your tablet with the app called sdcard monitor by Ahmed Moharram in the play store. If you get bad removals without rebooting your tablet you have the problem.
The thread that I was thinking of is linked below, and other threads/posts are referenced in my post in that thread... I find that running certain roms or kernels avoids the issue completely which really bothers me since it means that the devs know this tablet better than LG actually does... I know it isn't a hardware problem since the 4.2.2 original release of the software for this tablet does not exhibit the issue...
Thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/general/solved-sd-card-unmounting-issue-t3053909
I thought the notification names and related were changed to English default in this rom, but it isn't.

Dirty install over what? Not over a KitKat ROM.
thanks for the quick response
First, what you do to your phone is your responsibility, etc., etc.
I am not a developer. The work is mostly not mine. A group of folks have been playing with this for a couple weeks over in the General section, and thanks to a great deal of help from others, it is ready to put out there. Hopefully, a developer can polish it and work out the few kinks there are. I will continue to explore and experiment. but this feels like a daily driver at this stage!
1. Gather the files needed as listed in the instructions.
2. I was on the BPA1 modem.
3. I wiped the phone completely. Everything but the micro sd.
4. Install Nameless Rom available at Er. Aditya's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-nameless-mm-lightfastdeodexed-t3363547
5. Install Louforgiveno's Verizon data fix (attached).
6. Install AEL kernel available here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762636001208
7. Reboot. It will take 15 minutes or so to finish the boot and may reboot during the process. Be patient. Once the phone boots completely, and you go through setup, it will take a few minutes to establish connection to the network, but it has been solid for me once it does. This occurs each time you boot.
8. Reboot into recovery and flash Chainfire's SU available here (the kernek will wipe it): https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
Alternative kernel posted by Kcnycity: H-Vitamin kernel found here http://sharewidget.org/forum_xda-developers/note-4/snapdragon-dev/kernel-h-vitamin-t3364213. I found that I lost brightness control with this kernel on my dev edition, but not my retail. Which raises another point raised by douger1957. I think we had assumed that the dev phones and retail are the same, but the experience has varied across a number of users, so it is a trial and error process for each phone to find the best combination for your device.
ALTERNATIVE ROM: Try Dr. Ketan S7 rom here (for 910G) : http://www.drketanrom.com/n910g.html
Use the H-Vitamn kernel. Looks flawless so far. Network access is faster. And theme engine!
I had forgotten how much fun this can be!
Thanks go to:
Louforgiveno, without whom this would not be happening
Er. Adiytya and his team, who allowed me to use his port
KeTuRr74, who pointed us in the right direction for the data fix
FYI, at least two other roms from the Snapdragon forum will work with this process.
Known issues with this version:
1. Verizon Message Plus works but does not complete the subscription process. (Update: After about 14 hours, Message + has synced).
2. Slow to connect to network
Did you have to install the bootloader/ modem like it's stated in the OP on the ROM page or just the ROM itself followed by the data fix, kernel, and submit update?

No.

It should be noted that there seems to be differences in how the ROMs from the Snapdragon forum behave, depending on whether your phone is a Developer Edition or a converted Retail Edition. It's suspected that there are different bootloaders at play.
Also, try to make sure that you give thanks to louforgiveno and keturr74. Both have been a big help in bridging the gap between Verizon phones and the other Snapdragon variants.
Did you try installing mm s7 port ?

The BPA1 modem has been very successful on this port. I have clocked over 78 mps in a strong location. I have both the Dev edition and an unlocked retail and it has worked on both

Dr Ketan's? I'm going to install that this weekend.
I messed with this a bit last weekend with Keturr's ROM. louforgiveno's data fix came in too late in the weekend and I had to recover to Jasmine. Everything I got to try with Keturr's ROM worked, other than data.
For what it's worth... for those who feel married to TouchWiz because of S Note, it's now available in the Play Store.
I couldn't get data or signal to stay at all. And when I went to add my Google account, it would completely shut the phone off. Had to restore back to a previous twrp restore to fix anything. And that was on a clean install.

I tried the method in the OP but with the kernel the phone rebooted itself 3 times navigating the playstore and the nameless control panel so i wiped it and flashed H-Vitamin kernel and its been working flawlessly.
I got it working but does this not having theming? Are there any with theming and screen mirroring support?
I thought MM was coming to 910V but it wasn't what I expected XD
Title is kinda misleading

Marshmallow is coming to the N910V. But when? If you want Marshmallow now and not on Verizon's schedule, this is how you do it. I didn't see anything misleading. This is posted in the Development thread and not in General, where you'd expect to see an announcement about official Marshmallow.
The OP and others did quite a bit of work to bring TouchWiz Marshmallow options to our phones. To them, I extend my thanks.

Interesting I was getting a ton of reboots launching apps too I might have to try this.
Does anyone know what other MM roms work? I was looking for one with the theme engine.
So can we flash the kernel on any aosp based rom like cm13? I'm almost positive we can but want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I was using Nameless V3, all in all a pretty fast light rom but decided to flash Dr Ketan's MM s7 edge port and I enjoy it much more with the tweaks and mods available within it also has the theme engine

Also as a side note after you flash the H-Vitamin kernel it will overwrite root access simply reboot into recovery after you go through the first boot up setup and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46 and you will have root back.

A little backgroud:Like most of the users of Redmi Note 3,I have been at wits end to get volte working on the recent versions of global developer rom.Post 6.9.22 I wasn't able to use volte and since the feature was essential to me,I would revert back to 6.9.22 global developer rom.
Soultion:Here is an easy way that would help you guys to get volte up and running on the recent versions of MIUI.I backed up my 6.9.22 rom using TWRP ZCX,since I had volte working on it.I installed the version 6.10.27(since it was on my laptop, tested on 6.11.3 as well..screenshot enclosed)using TWRP ZCX,then restored the modem and efs from 6.9.22 that I had backed up.Volte is up and running. No issues so far. Will update this if I face any issues.
Result so far:Volte is working flawlessly on 6.11.3.In fact it is better than in 6.9.22,where you had to delete the APN to get volte. Also no issue of data being on at the time of volte, like it was in some earlier builds.Posting a screenshot as well.
Anyway to install 6.11.3 using twrp ??
i havnt faced any volte issue, m always on latest beta.

I will recommend TWRP ZCX as I have tried it multiple times. Most recently I flashed 6.11.3 yesterday. On TWRP alka I got a soft brick. So I can't say if TWRP will work properly.

There is a minority of people on MIUI forums also who say what you are saying.I have even tried clean flashing on my device, but it doesn't work.As I said you are the lucky few.For the rest of us it has been 6.9.22 all the way.At least till yesterday.Hopefully the developers will find a permanent fix.I am not complaining as the fix I posted yesterday is working flawlessly.

anyways i barely use miui forum so no idea about it, and builds are perfectly fine because we all downlods frm same servers, issue may be device specific or may b large batch of devices are affected frm it, btw global beta releases for RN3 qualcom were suspended after 6.10.13 bcoz few major bugs have been reported on few of the devices, may be you r one of them.

I myself suspect the same.Maybe some differences in device hardware.Global dev 6.11.3 has been released yesterday for Redmi Note 3 after being suspended for a few weeks.I was on 6.9.22 and initially downloaded the ota zip and dirty flashed it.Lost volte. Then reverted to 6.9.22 and decided to do something.lol.Can you tell me which version you last used fast boot ROM of?Just curious.I just yesterday saw a mod telling a poster that volte is working fine on beta 6.9.22 and global stable 8.0.6(haven't tried that..tried 8.0.5 but volte wasn't working). They are well aware of the issue. That confirms that there is one.
PS:Also if you dirty flash to 6.11.3,please do post your experience here.Whether volte works normally.

as i can see in screenshot above, you are using 2 gb variant, and i use 3gb variant, we are on different soc so it quite obivous that we will have different experiences. i still wonder wat kind of problem you are talking about because i never suspected anything like that.. i flashed 6.8.x as a last fastboot rom, afterwards i do dirty flashes, i used boot image patcher previously but nw i do it with zcx twrp. and 6.9.22 was quite stable build for me.. i didnt noticed any bug in anything. i hv jst flashed 6.11.3, its booted up, and seems fine to me as well.
Edit: Everytime i flash beta builds, i need to flash super su, xposed, few mod zips as well... and i have toremove bloatwares and few xiaomi core apps too everytime.. after all these efforts the rom becomes so smooth and fast to play with.

I didn't know you have a 3Gb variant. One thing is clear to me now that there is a definite issue with certain devices and I own one of them.As is evident we have a slightly different hardware configuration. But thankfully not a big deal now as I have it working flawlessly and xiaomi can take its own sweet time.Enjoy the new update.
