Another issue with wireless charging? - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Here is the deal. I have SM-G928F (OL5) and Samsung Fast Wireless Charger. Wireless charging won't start when phone is off and battery is fully drained.
In any other cases it charges fine when powered on or off. Anyone else experiencing same? I remember it working fine with some earlier firmware.

Need help! Wireless charging stopping overnight!

Hey guys, I have a galaxy s7 on Verizon that was working fine with no issues until about a week ago. I use a Samsung wireless fast charging pad by my bed for charging overnight. The last week I have an issue where I set the phone on the pad, the phone says wireless fast charging connected, the pad lights up blue and charging begins like normal. The issue is when I wake up in morning the pad is lit up green as if it reached 100% charge, but the phone isn't charging and the battery has been between 40-90% depending on where it was when I went to bed. Wireless fast charging is enabled in settings, I have rebooted the phone, not sure what is going on. I don't think anything changed, I can't remember an event where this started, just one morning it wasn't full any more and has been doing it every night now

Try turning off the wireless fast charging. Go into settings>battery and turn off "Wireless Fast Charging." You won't need this anyway due to the fact that you're charging overnight. Obviously you'll charge slower, but the charging will be more stable. I had the same problem a while back.

I have had this problem randomly using a regular "slow" wireless charger, too, so it isn't that. I also had it happen on my S6 a few times, too. I've had it on a Samsung wireless charger and a "Verizon" wireless charger as well.
I read on another site where someone said reset all app preferences/permissions, that seems to have fixed it, not sure why and it sucks approving everything again, but at least my phone is charged in the morning and I don't have to wake up and check it 30 times a night

Mine doesn't do it consistently and neither did my s6, just sometimes it isn't changed all the way to 100 when I wake up.

Wireless Charging issue after latest security update

Has there been anyone else experiencing an issue with the wireless charger since the last security update.
Now instead of charging the phone like it did before, it just holds it at the level it is at.
Anyone know why this is happening now, and how to fix so it charges?
Thanks.
You have gone to the menu item fast wireless charging?

Any Updates?
Hey, do the downgrade to PE1 with full wip, and put 100%, your working fast charging. Good luck. To me it helped.
I'm on PH7 and wireless charging works fine for me.
Wireless charging has never been an issue for me with any update. Might be purely coincidental, but you can also try a factory reset incase a setting or system file got skewed.
Have you checked the charger with another phone, or another charger with your Edge. It's possible the charger coincidentally failed at the same time.
My USB fast charging doesn't work. Wireless charging works faster than USB with different fast chargers. I have tried 6 of them and still not getting fast USB charging anymore. It is checked to fast charge also. All happened after the PJ3 update.,
Have you tried different cables, too? If the original charger and cable don't fast charge your phone, it's probably time for warranty service.

S5 Wireless Charger stopping at 70%

Hi all,
I just picked up a generic wireless charger and a Cheotech charging pad and having a weird problem. The phone refuses to charge past 70% on the wireless charger. It does charge to 100% plugged in.
I'm using the latest 6.01 stock Samsung rom. I want to think this is a software thing as it refuses to go past 70% on or off. I have tried clearing the cache but nothing. Any possible easy fixes?

wireless charging not working

I've seen the problem where a charger keeps saying charging has paused but this is not my issue.
I'm on my 2nd s8, the first one worked fine with my charger, the 2nd one worked fine from the start as well until one morning I woke up to a 40% charge. I thought maybe it was a fluke but the next morning it was the same. I let it charge again last night on the wireless charger and it was only at 20%.
Tonight I tried leaving it on the charger and the phone is just getting warm and isn't charging.
My charger is a Samsung charger, it's this one: Samsung Wireless Charging Pad with 2A Wall Charger w/ Warranty - Frustration Free Packaging, Black Sapphire https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BHEIIR4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_2F.azbF2T2S45
Anyone else having a problem like this or have any idea what is going on?
Edit: I think I found the problem. I had fast cable charging enabled. I don't know why this affects slow wireless charging but it does. This morning I woke up to a 100% charge after leaving the phone on the wireless charger last night with fast cable charging disabled.

Wireless charging issue

After updating to the latest software, my phone seems to have lost its Wireless charging capability. I put it on my high speed wireless charger and also my regular wireless charger and what happens is the screen says charging or fast charging but the actual battery percentage goes down has anyone else seen this problem? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
