Sorry if this is posted in the wrong location, but my Swype no longer auto spaces correctly. Rather than adding a space every word, it has started to add a space every 2 words. I now have to hit the space bar after every word I type. I have reinstalled Swype and it still has not fixed the problem. I have done a search on XDA and the net and still cant find a solution. Any thoughts from you guys?
I have the same problem. It's what made me stop using it. The only way mine would fix (and I know this sounds weird) is to delete all my messages. I moved on and now I'm using Resco Keyboard. Much better than the stock kb.
Yeah I ended up doing a hard reset because I was having so many problems with the phone. Now everything is back to normal. I might check out Resco Keyboard.
Why don't you switch to the latest version of Swype? It's great!

There is a small issue with Auto Spacing not working with HTC Messaging and Twitter. That can easily be fixed here.
Believe me, there is no on-screen keyboard that holds it's own in a contest with Swype. This thing is what got me off Hardware Keyboards.

the dll didnt work on my tp2 to fix the errors
That's because it's not for the Touch Pro 2...you are in the HD2 forums...
i've searched for an answer to this question but most keyboard problems i've come across deal with the entire keyboard freezing or lagging and usually changing settings like pop ups and autocomplete resolve the issue.
my problem deals with individual keys freezing. when this happens, the rest of the keyboard functions as normal. usually closing and reopeneing the keyboard or pressing other keys will fix it but that's really annoying to have to do. the delete key and space key freeze the most but i've experienced it with just about every key. i've tried every different keyboard in the market and tried changing keyboard settings but the problem persists. i don't know where else to turn so i decided i would ask on here.
i posted this in a dev thread earlier because i originally thought it was a rom issue, but the issue has repeated on several different roms and other people have confirmed that they're experiencing the same problem. i'm not sure how widespread it is, but it's definitely something that i think needs to be addressed.
i'll appreciate any response so thanks for any help in advance
If it is across all the keyboards you try, maybe it is something with your screen? I had similar issues with my phone, where if I would have two fingers touching the keyboard on different keys, it would flip out, and sometimes lag. I am currently using the HTC_IME keyboard and I no longer have issues. Btw my phone is an optimus v. Hope I helped. Cheers.

I have the same exact problem. And you're right on, my delete key will stop responding a lot of time. Especially when I long press it to delete words quickly.
I have used like 5 different keyboards with the same problem. This happens to every ROM EXCEPT Royal Ginger 2.1
And I have no idea why RG2.1 is the only cure...

thanks for the quick response. and yeah i'm beginning to think it might be screen issue. if i unroot it and return it to stock and it still happens would t-mobile or htc replace it?
also, is the HTC_IME just the stock HTC keyboard?

thanks man, i might have to try out RG2.1. i used MIUI 1.7.15 for about two weeks without any problems and thought i found the fix but it eventually started doing it again.

They might replace it, but I wouldn't count on it. They'd probably factory reset it to see if that works. HTC_IME is a modded keyboard found here on XDA, it is highly themeable, but I use it for its precision and its multitouch functionality.

While there are modded versions of HTC_IME out there (such as jonasl's), HTC_IME is also the name of the stock keyboard that comes with all Sense/mySense ROMs.

Hello. Well have this last update for our devices official from samsung. And I thought on helping samsung perfecting it. So in order to so that I think we should make this thread where we all together say wich are the bugs we found. I find already 2 bugs on the email app wich leads to a lot of wakeup calls, makes the phone use alot cpu and force closes when we touch on priority mail. There are other bugs wich people found here so I think we should list them.
Rules are simple, if you find a bug, report here and say how to replicate it. We together see it, and list here to report to samsung. Also suggestions to make things better. (of bugs or things you think that could be better)
Since they give us a ROM. At least a perfect well done one. What do you think? They need happy costumers. Or well go elsewhere.
Ps: if you can leave logcat, I'll leave on the email all log cats attached to each bug
List of bugs:
The Email app crashes when the general options, and priority email sections are accessed.
Buggy Microsoft Exchange integration. It seems to use an excessive amount of resources causing battery drain. This problem only seems to exist within the default Email app.
Smart stay not working properly.
Samsung keyboard's gesture typing is unable to properly detect and type the whole word.
Swype Keyboard won't automatically insert a space (I don't think this is a bug due to the text field being an address bar)
Sometimes, lock screen is unresponsive.
In the app drawer, when the apps are sorted alphabetically, then as downloaded apps it crashes Touchwiz Home.
In Car Mode, TalkBack is not functioning and is very unresponsive.
Google Maps and Samsung Push Services uses an excessive amount of battery when it is not used.
Throughout the OS, there are issues with stuttering and lack of responsiveness.
Wi-Fi connection often freezes after deep sleep of around 10 - 15 minutes ("Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" is set to "Always"). Wi-Fi notification icon shows that it's connected, but no data can be sent or received. (Only solution found so far is to manually disconnect and reconnect.)
In the camera, there is a reddish blemish on the center when the camera is used in low-light situations(I believe this is a hardware issue.)
Project Butter seems to be improperly implemented.
Unable to use the handwriting function on the Samsung Keyboard because it force closes.
Nasty color banding
After reboot , changes made in launcher menu will go back to how it was in begining (for example Folders created, disapear, or just the apps inside it, will be offside)

sometimes i cnt install apps from sd card when open source is clicked restarted and working fine till now..

This is not a bug. Use better battery stats to see what problem you have. I was able to get 6 hours of scree, time with standard battery

After Upgrade to 4.1.2 my battery cany chrage more then 67%

I've had several custom roms for my Omnia and all worked very well. And yesterday I just installed dynamics v2.0 and I really love it, great work!
But I found some things that were different and I think it could be the software, or a hardware problem. So here I am
asking if you guys have the same problems as me.
The first one that really annoys me is calling to someone. When I call to someone the screen goes instantly black ( without me activating the sensor ). I can't click anything and it takes around 10 minutes before I can use my phone again. The black screen doesn't go away, and the sensor is giving a little redish light.
The second one is the home button. Before this rom I could turn my screen on with the home button. But now I have to use the lock button, same problem over there? But the home button works when the screen is already on.
Hope someone could give me clear answers about this.

I running the same ROM and I'm having neither of those problems.
I've noticed that you can't use the home button to wake up when something is covering the sensor. I'm guessing you're having problems because something is wrong with your proximity sensor. Try cleaning it with, if needed with some alcohol.
Camera Extras fix

I'm a new member too. I have troubles with camera extras which i can't deinstall / upgrade because is not on my program list. I tried fix that is mentioned on first page of Dynamics v2.0 thread. The mentioned fix didn't fix my problem, I still can't deinstall / upgrade camera extras.

Finally I managed to fix my problem with Nokia camera extras.
1. Look for XAP version and install it.
2. Uninstall camera extras
3. Grab a new version from nokia market.
Thats it. That fix my problem and Camera extras are again in my program list.

I had a same problem on my stock rom, but you should dig some options in the diagnosis app, just search it on the google.
my proximity sensor settings were fu**up, and just setting the normal values solved the problem

if I listen InTune Radio after while speaker start buzzing only removing battery help anyone same problem?
and BTW is the chance to change emoicons in SMS to coloured?

geocaching from groundspeak doesn't start - it say's connection error try another time but it won't work
It's sad for me because I really like this ROM, but the only reason I use my phone is for geocaching!

Have you try to hard reset the device after Flash? I have this ROM by a week and i don't noticed your bugs..

Since I'm a noob to customizing my Omnia 7 (and to this forum), I have done something quite stupid.
But sometimes my fingers are quicker than my thoughts.
Tragic story: After successfully installing the Dynamics 2.0 ROM with all its wonderful features I more or less accidentally uninstalled the fabulous clock hub.
Chapeau to the developers, by the way!!
But even after one long hour of searching through these pages, I can't seem to find the one hint, that would bring me relief.
So I'll have to ask quite frankly: is there a way to subsequently install the clock hub again?
I'd be more than grateful for any answer!!

Hey everyone,
started using this rom today:
Marketplace works fine, everything is fine. BUT the searchkey does not work and it takes some seconds starting an app from the homescreen.
I reflashed the OS image and rebooted the device and tried 10 times to set a action for the searchkey, but didnt work.
It doesnt even vibrate touching it.
Its like, it wasnt here.

in WinTT (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587332) there is a possibility to "Reinstall PreInstalled Apps". Install bazaar, then install WinTT via bazaar and press this button. Your clockhub should return.

first of all, on my phone there is no vibration on homebutton...

go to settings, then look for "GPS-extras" or something like that, right below "reports" and the 3rd setting from the end...
open GPSextras and try activating both toggles. If this doesn't help, is cellular data turned on (for A-GPS)? If this still doesn't help, did you format storage after flashing?

this sounds like you either got a very buggy version of that app or forgot to format your phones storage after flash. to format storage (hard reset) press power, camera and volume app on startup and keep them pressed untill a yellow triangle appears. press home button twice to confirm.
NOTE: YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA ON THE PHONE; MEANING PHOTOS; MUSIC; CONTACTS; APPS ETC.

Terrific! That did it.
Although I didn't have to install bazaar.
I just directly went to WinTT, gave it root access permissions, selected "Reinstall PreInstalled Apps" and - BAZINGA! - the clock hub magically reappeared, like you assumed.

Dynamics v2.0 wp7.8 compass error
Hi, I found a problem with the compass. compass for some time to stop working. Still points to the north or south. Devices must be turned off and on. I tried to reset and flash. It did not work. It makes you too?

when using handwriting to text on the samsung keyboard of Galaxy note 3, the writing just remains and does not convert to text after click other buttons there the keyboard crashes. regular input and all other aspects of the keyboard work, even direct pen input works. i have cleared cache and data of the samsung keyboard, even factory reset my phone but the problem remains. i really freaking out!!! does anyone have a solution or is having similar problems

I'm having the same problem. Called the samsung helpdesk, they can't resovle it yet.

Same here. It works for the first 2 days. But now it just doesn't and later it crashes.
You may try to change date&time settings to yesterday .. It works with my device ..
glad to know i'm not the only one facing this problem... meanwhile, any good keyboard with handwriting recognition to use as alternative?
also, to add some details, when i switch to Chinese language, the input does scroll to right when i am writing towards the end of screen, then when u scroll back, , or in english input try wrinte some words then press the backspace button, u will notice a character cursor stuck at the far left of the screen. Try move that cursor and your keyboard will crash again

additional update: changing the date, use the handwriting, and change the date back to today and it seems working fine again. thanks indeed for the discovery, if TS can just update the first post with this solution it would be great

I was very glad to get my Note 3 last Friday (one of the first in the Netherlands). But this morning, during a short demonstration for my collegues on "how great the Note 3 and Android is", I had the same problem as you. This is my first Samsung and Android device, how long does patching take?
For the S4 the first update came within a month.

The fix helps but very temporarily. Also, when you have more than one input language selected, the first hand written word is recognised ok, but the rest is changed into rubbish. I'll skip using hand written text input for now, until it has been solved. Swyping is faster anyway.

Has anyone tried the alternate note input method which gets activated by hovering the s pen over the input area and then selecting the small black pencil icon ?
This seems to still work.

Yes, that still works. But I mainly use the S Pen for what's app and email. I hope they fix it soon!

AActually The thing that amazes me the most is that what made you to think of this work around in the first place? what made you think of changing the dateto fix handwriting not working?

Facing the same problem with my N900K model too. it worked fine for two days and now it can't recognize anymore. contacted samsung support. lets see what they can do.

I cant imagine all the trouble i've been through..
i sent my gn3 to samsung technical guys earlier and they concluded that i have a broken board (motherboard i guess?) , and gave me a new gn3 as replacement but still had same issue.. oh my... i mean, those guys thanks so much!

Exactly i was too freaked out. I rush to the dealer and was planning to go to the Samsung authorized service center.
I thought i was the only one facing the issue.
I dont know how to clear the cache and all .Can you please guide me
It worked for two days and then it just stopped working.

also, to add some details, when i switch to Chinese language, the input does scroll to right when i am writing towards the end of screen, then when u scroll back, , or in english input try wrinte some words then press the backspace button, u will notice a character cursor stuck at the far left of the screen. Try move that cursor and your keyboard will crash again

additional update: changing the date, use the handwriting, and change the date back to today and it seems working fine again. thanks indeed for the discovery, if TS can just update the first post with this solution it would be great

Can you please guide how to change the width of the text written by Spen....its very sharp and i want somewat bigger...i hope u got my problem
Here's my take.. My phone is N9005 bought from the Philippines last Sept. 28.
This problem occurred but is isolated to handwriting-to-text, not particular to the handwriting recognition in general because it still works on all the applications from the NOTE 3 only the handwriting-to-text is not working and always crash when you move the cursor from the leftmost side to anywhere in the keyboard pad (where you 'write' the words that will be converted to text).
Changing the Date to Sept. 27, Sept. 28 or Sept 29 works.. the handwriting-to-text works 100% (even after restarting my device) but when you change the date to Sept. 30 THEN restart your device it will not work.
So basically manually changing your date in your device back to Sept. 27-29 THEN change back the date to Sept. 30 (or whatever date is today) will WORK, but it will STOP working when you RESTART or POWEROFF your device. I tried OCT. 1 as well and its not working.
Just use this workaround if you are using this feature.. I don't use this feature but it bugs me when my gadget has a flaw or is defective..
I guess we need an official patch / fix for this problem.
