I don't why MCPE works completely well on the nexus player, but if I have to take the guess it must be that's running a compatible CPU & GPU that minecraft can run on...YET then MCPE works well on the nvidia shield tablets...which throws my first theory out the window.
So obviously its NOT the CPU or GPU making minecraft fail
So my next initial thought is the GL version & nvidia has GLes version 3 while MCPE runs version 2.
BUT, even though the manifest states version 2...it also sets it to false which means it only needs version 2+
The only thing reliable info I gain from all this is logging the app while it run before it crash my system
Here's the logcat of MCPE while trying to run on my nvidia shield tv
logcat:MCPE 0.13.0 B 5

some of the logcats that I made were slightly different, but with a modded version yet the one above was a genuine non modded 0.13.0.b.5 MCPE app on nvidia shield android tv
I tried modifying the app to make it a lean-back(android tv) but, it still fails no matter.
side note: I flash zulu modded nvidia shield android tv rom which makes it a full android...MCPE works well, but I wanted my the android tv ui back so I flashed it back & MCPE didn't work afterwards.
So, first thing I tried after updateing to 3.0 was to fire up Minecraft PE. It works now. Has to be sideloaded, and graphics arent the best, but..it works...And the controller works as well...happy times.
MCPE 0.14.+ works on NSATV running 6.0
I forgot about this thread....so after updating my shield tv to marshmallow ...I also got my hands on a copy of mcpe 0.14.+ alpha build a few months ago....
I also was able to modify the apk to launch directly from the default leanback launcher...so I will be posting a link on how to do just that below for mcpe & any other apps that you want to modify for android tv!
some apps will still need a mouse/keyboard though!

I noiced these three capabilities after wp8 interop unlock and it might be able to install xap by calling PacManClient.dll .
the only problem is that, I am not quite familiar with this dll. Although it might be similar with that in wp7, I didn't develop anything about wp7(I'm quite new here).
maybe we can add these caps and try LoadLibraryEx() to call the dll?
I'm sure it's possible. We just need to know the relevant APIs. It may be necessary to reverse engineer the XAP-installation service on the phone to see how it works. Anyhow, yes, this is something I've been wanting to get working as well.
Actually, installation of XAPs isn't a problem at all. I wanted to do that, but got a bit bored with rebuilding OS on my engineering AtivS, so I delayed this project.
Just sharing the function prototypes and usage info would probably be enough for somebody else to do it... doesn't have to be fancy!

I think there is a lot of functions that is similar to wp7 ..

Dear Experts,
I am novice in developing and in this forum. Please be kind if I am posting wrong here.
I am trying to build gtelwifiue for the Samsung Galaxy Tab E SM-T560 from source code following the LineageOS wiki. I received the following error message during the build process:

Hardware : Spreadtrum SC9853
You could check the following thread, seems to be the same hardware as discussed: S9 (Spreadtrum SC9853I) 4/64G Android 9 - Discussion thread
Where did you purchased the unit? Do you have a link?

Yeah, it has the same hardware as the one in the thread I linked you. There's a couple of roms and root, however, can you post the MCU version? And if you're going to test the roms in that thread, do a backup first.
As for the temperature problem, where are you looking that error? I'm not aware of any temperature sensor on this units.

So get the old app I used back when I tested roms the backup app
And the temperature sensor is from my car but its only displaying in C° they have it where it should show it in F° but just the letter changes not the temp

I'm sorry but I can't help you in that part, as I don't have the same car as yours. From what I read on online forums it really depends from the region where the car originally came from. From what I read, if it is the Canadian version, there's no way to change it to Fahrenheit, same if it's manufactured in the U.S., you wouldn't be able to change it from Fahrenheit to Celsius. I read that some dude purchased the a Canadian cluster for his American version, swapped it, and the sensors started displaying his temps con C, so it could worth the shot: https://www.tsxclub.com/threads/what-controls-the-climate-readout.50277/
Good luck.

The cluster is the factory and its set to F° but the radio doesn't have the 3rd plug which send the info to the cluster for temp.and the info for the clock so the radio is now the only way to see it and they didn't program it right from what I can tell cause with you tell it to display F° it just changes the C° to an F° but fails to do the math to convert the temp on it if I could post photos or videos I would show you

Did you consult with the seller is there was a canbus accessory for the radio compatible with the car? Have you checked in the factory settings if there is an option to configure the canbus to match your car's model?
And yes, go ahead and send pictures and videos, anything could be helpful.
I was playing with the canbus and nothing really changed it right i think its a program issue cause when you start it sometime it goes to 3346.8c° then drops to the temp in C° but has a °F
