Hello Friends
I just rooted my new galaxy s5, the sm-g900h version with the corresponding root. But it software bricked my phone. Now I have the "phone-triangle-pc" screen. I had all my galaxy rooted before. So I am not a totally beginner. I tried also to redo this process but didn't work. What can I do now? Please help. Thanks a lot

It looks very much alike. I haven't done anything different from other times I rooted. But then again: How do I fix it?? There is no firmware available yet.

there are firmwares here:
http://live.samsung-updates.com
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-G900H
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SM-G900H&pcode=TPA#firmware
let me know if flashing a firmware fix it please.
I just rooted my international Exynos SM-G900H using the corresponding cf-root on the main page.
The device and odin was freezing midway through the process on V3.07... i then removed the battery and reinserted it and used Odin V1.85.. Worked like a charm !!
Wow that sucks.
Just got your S5 and now it's bricked.
I always recommend waiting for others to try first
Galaxy S series devices have never bricked for me... they can't IMHO
The phone to pc connection icon that we mistake for a brick is simple to fix.. just remove the battery... wait for 5 seconds, reinsert it and enter Download mode again ( Vol down + Home + Power )

To end this thread: I finally found the firmware without provider (Argentina) flashed it and started root again, and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the process my S5 was usb debugged but I rooted without chip. Now I introduced the chip and it worked (don't know why). Thanks to you all.

Help please
I have a Latin American 900H galaxy s5. Every time I try to use the CF-ROOT method, it locks on the cache when I use ODIN. However, I reboot into download and can reflash the original rom. Any ideas why it keeps stopping/freezing at that point?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

To root after you update, you need to do the following:
1. Boot the phone and let it load.
2. Go to Settings>Security> Unckeck Reactivation Lock
3. Boot back to Recovery and run AutoRoot and a custom Recovery.

@German Developer it booted properly, but it doesn't work okay. Super SU wants and binary update, that fails when asks to disable KNOX. Also the root checker apps say that the device root access is not properly installed.
I followed the steps correctly, Odin showed message "Passed".
Just to make sure, these is the information about the firmware, device, baseband and etc.

Should I isntall the firmware of the tutorial. And if yes, where can I find the files?

confused by your post
hi,
how does one add to the root file the img file? every time i have tried is says i need to be rooted… which i am not? can you advise the step by step to add the img file without root access to the root folder? maybe the file manager apk you used that we can also download and install and use?
The root folder just means the first part of your storage. I.e not in any folder.

I'll put up a link for the files needed . Recovery is for the j320f but it's working on mine no problem and I'm on j320fn. You have to flash recovery via odin and change language when you load it up because I think it's in Russian but not sure . I found all this on a website but can't remember where to now but anyway here you go for TWRP http://mega.nz/#!tBORFSBI
and for flash able root in recovery http://mega.nz/#!1ZFAWZDI
use Firefox to download from mega ok and if you have any trouble flash stock through odin, website for stock rom is sammobile

All good - The phone is now rooted and SuperSU installed (I haven't tried the Xposed installer yet, but will do tomorrow as off to bed now.
Many thanks for the advise & links... I'm sure there's a lot of people that it will help!
For anyone else wanting to try this, the basic info is broken down below:
Basically, download TWRP & SuperSU from these links & flash using Odin:
TWRP*http://www.mediafire.com/download/bl...-J320F.tar.tar
root file*http://www.mediafire.com/download/cp...0630161323.zip
The TWRP will be in Russian, but if you click on the right-hand side grey box then you can change to English.
First thing to do is run a Nandroid back-up and once completed copy the SuperSU file to the phone/Ext SD card and flash this (I flashed it twice, as the first attempt just made the phone constantty reboot after the logo.
Next you can flash thexPosed Lollipop 5.11 from here :* the framework for xposed lollipop 5.1.1*http://www.mediafire.com/download/hx...m-20151217.zip
