Hello! My phone is dying and I decided to buy new one. Actually it is used SPRINT phone and seller said there is no SIM Card. But ESN is clean.
My question is: can I activate that phone in Sprint network. And what about SIM card? Can I use SIM card from my old phone?
Thank you!
Well sprint is cdma.so it will go off msid and mdn.you dont need a sim phone for cdma.so at that point leave it with the phone.

A Sprint SIM will be required for Sprint 4G LTE. Pick one up at a Sprint store. If you are registering with a Sprint MVNO, Try Best Buy or Ting.com or eBay for the SIM. Not all Sprint SIMs the same. Make sure you get the right model SIM for the Note 4.

I have been with sprint for a long time and never had to mess with sim cards. I am now with att and I have a question about sim cards and activations. I have an android phone right now with att that I am going to replace with the note 2. Can I just pull the sim card from the current phone and put it in the new one? Or do I have to take it into the att store? Also does this cause an activation fee?
Moved to Networking section.
You can just switch the SIM. If it's an already activated SIM (meaning it had service in the prior phone) there should not be an activation fee.

Thanks for the info. That is what I was thinking but I wasn't sure.
Yes, one of the great things about gsm/sim cards. Easy swappable. If your current phone uses standard mini sim, you will need to cut it down to work in the note2/other newer phones that use micro sim cards.
Currently using the original note. So I don't know what kind of sim it has.

You Will need to go to the store. Note 1 has A regular sized sim and the Note 2 takes a Micro Sim you will need a smaller sim but sims are free.

Your can use a SIM cutter. No need to go-to a store. Just be careful and follow the instructions. I've used it twice on various phones.

Just insert that to any unlocked phone you want,
Our policy at at&t is if its a gsm it's possible,
No fees for device transfer since we have a SIM number as a basis of the account not the IMEI or ESN

I have changed phones before and just changed the sim from one phone to the next. I also went to att when another phone took am smaller sim and the att rep got a smaller sim and updated it and handed it to me and said have a nice day. I love att's customer service.
Does anyone know if I will be able to use the VZW G2 internationally on a GSM network by swapping out the SIM Card? Let's say I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks...would I be able to buy a SIM card locally, pop it in to my G2, and just pay as I go while I'm down there? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but in my experience the older VZW CDMA phones couldn't do this

the Verizon sim slot as far as I know is for a 4g LTE sim, the GSM HPSA+ frequencies I dont think are active, and even if they are it's likely sim locked.
Get my S4 sprint Sph-L720 today.. Some how it show UNKNOWN ICCID. I'm try to activate it on Freedompop or Ringplus which we require a ICCID. I check the MEID is good but Unknown ICCID. I have tried the sim detail app download from playstore without any ICCID #
For those who using SPH-L720 on Sprint network.. Don't you require sim card from sprint? I have been using G2 with sprint network no sim card. please be advice. thanks
Yeah we have sim cards.

Thanks for info...
For those who using Sprint's sim card.. is it Sprint sim card can be re-usable?? I'm going to activate this S4 with Ringplus or Freedompop and they required Sprint sim card. Sprint store won't give out or sell sim card without a active line with them. Where can I get a reasonable price of Sprint sim card? Ebay selling the used sim card for $20, but don't know if it re-usable since it already activated, I assumed.
Hi guys, I just bought used sprint 306sh and trying to use it with Ringplus, but the phone came without sim card. As I know Sprint has hundreds different sim cards for different phones, just try to buy the correct one and avoid losing money, can anybody tell me that which model of sim card is using on your 306sh?
Thanks a lot.
been on Sprint and Tello with this sim
Hey, i've had the Aquos on Sprint and now Tello with
the same sim card, a GLW406R, but it seems the price
any MVNO offers on its sims to work with their service
may be lower than you can buy it for ....?
I went thru activation, this sim worked on both, no problems.
(USA)
Have official sprint sim
Uses a "nano" sized sim if thats what you mean. I still have the actual card so if you need a serial number or something let me know.
Bought a Note 4. Says the phone was for GSM. I was going to use it for T-Mobile. When I got it, the back cover said Verizon on it. I thought it might be a replacement back. Tired my SIM to no avail.
I tried to sell the phone to a Verizon user and they said they couldn't connect it with their SIM either, even after Verizon support.
Does anyone know what steps I can take here so I can fix/sell this phone so I can buy a T-Mobile model? Thanks.
