First, I would acknowledge the great work HCDR has done !
With that done, I would like to resolve some of my doubts.
I just flashed CM7 and then 4.1 kernel of HCDR.Jacob.
SetCPU allows me to set max CPU speed of 768.. I keep it at 691 with on-demand scaling, but it automatically reverts back to 591 over a period of time.
Can anyone tell me why this happens ?!
Also, any insight on how this modes work would be appreciated.
If I want to manually want to force my phone to operate at a certain speed, how do I do that ?
Thanks,
P
If u are using CM7 why are using SetCPU?
CM7 has it's own OC settings features.. settings>> cyanogenmod settings>>>performance>>>cpu settings
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA Premium App
Why are you flashing HCDR kernel? It's not necessary to do that anymore in CM7.

Thanks. I did not know that.
Is there anyway, I can revert back to original CM7 kernel. Coz I already flashed that kernel. Does it even make a difference ?!
One more thing, what CPU governor should be chosen ?!
I would want my phone to be auto-OCed when I play games but DCed when idle.
Would "on-demand" be a good choice ?! Or "smartass" is better ?

In CM7 RC2 this option is not available. This is why i using setCPU app too.
What are people using for the lowest setting in SetCPU? I just rooted and installed the OC kernel and am using SetCPU. Is there a different program I should be using?
How do u guys undervolt? I have cm 6.1.1 alpha 8.3.2.
I have setcpu 2.2.4, but i cant find any options to undervolt Is there any app to contol the undervolt? Im willing to pay for it
You need to find a rom with kernel that supports it
Hi there,
I want to restore to the stock voltages via setcpu but I don't want to flash the stock rom again. Could anyone help me out and post the stock voltages? Especially the Max value because I don't want to overclock...
thanks, onyxogen

Belongs in General, Q&A. This is Dev.
Is it possible to overclock this phone? The kernels available don't seem to have ability to overclock and/or undervolt. Is this not possible?

Squid and Optimus are already undervolted and slightly overclocked. Also HERE is undervolted stock CM13 kernel.
