Hi,
I'm having problems with my internet over wifi. Router can only be found when Bluetooth is turned of!? With Bluetooth on there are only 1-2 routers around found - instead of 10 when Bluetooth is off. This is realy a mess, cause I need Bluetooth for my Sony Smarwatch.
Here (in Germany), some people seem to have the same problem. Does someone know how to fix it? (by the way: everything went fine for a lobg time and all other devices doesn't have any problems with my router).

On which band does your router work? Instead of "Auto", try setting your WiFi band to "2.4GHz" and see if you're able to discover your router.
I have tried that, but it didn't work. In the meantime there are more and more german people having this problem and they all didn't change anything. Could it be that an (german) app-update kill the wifi/bluetooth drivers?

Works flawless here.

You can try to switch to the 5GHz band, maybe it will fix the interference.
I have a Xiaomi Mi Band Fitness Monitor witch is connected through mobile.
When I walk out of bluetooth distance the band looses connection with the mobile.
My problem is that when walking in distance to the mobile the connection is not established, this problem appears only on my note 4, on the xperia z5 compact this issue does not happen.
I am running stock non root 6.0.1 kernel version 3.10.40-101002200
Does anyone know of a way to make the mobile reconnect with the smartband when I come in range to the mobile again ?
Hello.
I have this strange problem. When I have Bluetooth on and try to set up a WiFi hotspot, my mate 9 pro is dropping the connected device. Then the device is connected again, and the connection drops again.. Not stable at all!
But! When I disable Bluetooth, everything is fine! The WiFi hotspot is stable and working like it should.. Anyone have the same problem? Maybe know how to fix it? I think after the update to b229 my Bluetooth has been a bit buggy also..
Idk since when I'm having this issue but it's quite prominent and disturbing, when I'm connected to the Bluetooth speaker and my WiFi at the same time, the WiFi randomly disconnects and connects automatically and in some case the device doesn't even detect my WiFi network for quite a while. I need to confirm whether I am only one having this issue or it is present in others' handsets as well, thank you.
Which system version are you on? Are you rooted? Did you do any modifications to the system?
I'm on the 8.1.10 and it never happened to me
I'm not having that issue, and I use wifi to listen to tune-in radio while using my BT headphones at the gym. Been doing this for months.

I'm on the same version too but I do have that issue maybe it's limited to my phone only. Thanks for the replies tho.
Hey, forget about the disconnecting part but can you confirm if the WiFi drastically slows down when connected to Bluetooth or even that issue is limited to my unit?

Looks like there's problem with your device, never encountered that problem on my device
Mine have the same problem too. I'm with stock march update. I have to use Bluetooth because I have a Mi Band 2

@matcho13579 doesn't seem to have the issue so I guess something is wrong with our devices. I'm still confused weather or not to take the device to the service center.

Looks like it's the case. I'm using MiBand 2 as well, so Bluetooth is always on and I'm not facing such an issue (I'm running Stock March update with MetaPhoenix kernel)
My wife's Mi A1 has the same problem too, so I think it isn't a hardware issue...

I'm taking my device to the service center regardless, it's been such a pain in the a$$.
I think it's not hardware issue, I have this also only when I play music via bluetooth, othervise my watch is always connected via bluetooth and it's normal.

I think the problem is that there is a problem and it should not be there in the first place also read my original post, I have that sort of issues too.
Hello, I have the same problem... I tried a lot of custom rom with android 8.1, same thing... I tried to modify bluetooth parameters. The bug stay...
I think its a "common" issue since wifi and bt use the same 2.4 ghz band, im not 100% sure about this tbh, but i think this is what happens

Yes, it is!! I tried a 5 ghz wifi this morning and have the same speed with bt off and on. So the problem is the interaction wifi/bt on 2.4 ghz.
I also tested a Redmi Note 4 Global in a 2.4 ghz wifi, with and without bt activated and have no issues on the speed.
Voice quality is terrible when using a bluetooth headset with a voip app on 2.4GHz wifi.
I have also had instances where bluetooth device gets disconnected when wifi is turned off.
My 4 year old phone does not have this problem.
There is definitely an issue with this phone. Hopefully a software bug.

Either it's a hardware issue or the problem is caused by WiFi interfering the Bluetooth signal as they both work on the 2.4Ghz band except if you're on 5Ghz WiFi. If anyone on 5Ghz WiFi has the issue too then this might be a hardware issue. I've sold my phone and got a OP3T and it slightly suffers from the same issue too so I guess it's not an hardware issue after all.
i have exactly same issue on android 8.0
Hi, I was able to solve this problem leaving all the modem / router configurations intact and acting only on the phone without needing root or anything else: it was enough to reset the network configurations of my Android device.
Follow the steps below:
1) Settings
2) System
3) Advanced
4) Reset options
5) Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth
6) Reset Settings
Once completed, reconnect to Wi-Fi (enter the password as if it were the first connection) and try a speed test to confirm the resolution.
Procedure tested on Mi A1 with Android 9 Patch July 2019.
When connected to band or sharing something via Bluetooth causing significant speed issues on Wifi speed, this problem doesn't occurs when bluetooth on state, it occurs when bluetooth working with something like bluetooth earphone, wearable bands, sharing something via bluetooth, Wifi speed limit goes to highest 600-700KB/s, on Android PIE
Same problem here, bro. Tried to reset network settings but still got the same problem.
I have this same "problem" for a while, but i think its more because wifi and bluetooth use the same frequency so they kinda block each other, if you try it on a 5 ghz wifi you will not have anyproblem. Also bad quality devices like cheap bluetooth headhones cause this problem even more. The "fix" i have for now its, im using a mi band 3 for notifications, so i use tasker to turn bluetooth off when screen on(because i dont want bluetooth lagging things when im using it), and just turn it on when screen off so i get the notifications on the mi band. Its not ideal and it sucks, but is the best thing i could find to kinda fix this(other than using 5 ghz wifi of course)
