Yup. See SS.
Anyone having significant battery drain? It has been great except for that.
Edit: Factory reset seems to have fixed the drain.

See the following thread here - https://m.reddit.com/r/lgg4/comments/3xags1/solution_to_use_mac_lg_bridge_update_mm_for_lg_g4/. Basically, the update isn't showing in the current version of LG Bridge for PC but is for OS X. However, you have to rename the update file before it will update successfully under OS X.

@willy792003: Go for it and then install Genisys Rom. Working Xposed included - just saying. Working fine.
Updated to this ROM on Starhub LG G4 H815 singapore with LGUP. Was very unresponsive and laggy. Was not able to receive any calls.
Took backup and did a factory reset. Now its fine. So i guess clean install is the way to go
Although i feel touch responsiveness is somewhat worse in MM when compared to LP ROM.
You done the update with LG Bridge? Still no update seen for Singtel set.
Anyone knows how to change the CSC on the G4 like we can do so on the Samsung phones through the service menu? Can't seems to find the option in the G4 service menu.
FWIW - I did a dirty upgrade and have had no issues, battery life is roughly the same as pre-upgrade and all is stable.
I got the update today for V20b via OTA.

So Rogers is blocking internet for those who don't update to their crappy software, they check this most probably by asking our devices what version number they are using.
So why don't we just give them the version number they want? Isn't it easy to just modify a file somewhere and change the version number to match that of their latest rom ?
I'm not rom builder so I really don't know if what I'm suggestion is easy to achieve, but it sounds quite simple.
Can we do this?
That is essentially what cursordroid did in his rom
No cursordroid based his rom on the Rogers rom, what I'm suggesting is you take any 32a rom and change the version info to match that of the Rogers rom.

My suggestion is to just update your device! My Rogers HTC Magic (32A) was rooted prior to the installation of the new update. I ran into one problem while updating but if wasnt anything that was hard to fix. Basically what happens is that your SPL and Radio get wiped completely and then they are updated with the new Rogers HTC Magic SPL and Radio. There is no way for them to know what you are running because the update takes place in fastboot.
completely not necessary to update.
make a call to rogers, tell them you updated, but the 3g won't come back on, they'll tell you to take out the battery as they reset it for you.

The 3G being enabled again..
Not sure if just getting the reset done will let you keep your data enabled as current belief is that they will continue scanning and blocking for the next while.
If you are already running a ROM with the 911 fix and want to keep it the following "seems" to work... I did this yesterday morning at still have data 24 hours later...
It is based on bcrook's work... I have seen reports that just changing out build.prop wholesale causes issues with the market so this is a smaller set of changes.
adb shell reboot recovery
***Wait for Magic to boot into recovery***
adb shell mount -a
adb shell
cd system
ls
***look for your build file, will be build.prop or build.sapphire.prop most likely***
CTRL-D ***to quit the shell***
adb pull /system/build.prop ***or whatever it was called***
***make a backup copy and edit the file***
adb push build.prop /system/build.prop
adb shell reboot
The actual changes you need to make to the file are:
ro.build.description=3.05.631.7 CL#118917 release-keys
ro.build.changelist=118917
ro.product.ua=
ro.build.fingerprint=rogers/htc_magic/sapphire/sapphire:1.5/CUPCAKE/118917:user/release-keys
ro.build.display.id=DRC92 3.05.631.7
Once you reboot your Magic, you should see the changes in Settings->About Phone under "Build Number".
Call into Rogers and get then to reset your network and you should be good.

Sup everyone,
I finally got around to updating my TMO DVP. It's been stuck on 7720 this whole time and want to bring it up to Tango.
My question is: what exactly are the steps to upgrading???
Here are the threads I'm trying to follow in order:

From what I understand it:
Install Windows Phone Support Tool
Install WP7 Backup 1.6
Install WP7 Update Cab Sender
Then???
I don't get it. I've installed WP Support tools which doesn't make sense. I have Win7-64bit. The downloads available are x86 or amd64. My computer is intel based, so which do I use? x86 doesn't install, makes sense. I installed amd64.
My next problem is, are there different versions of WP Support Tools? My Zune is up-to-date 4.8.2345.
After installing WP Support Tools:
WPSupportTools.exe is version 0.0.0.0, date modified 4/1/11
UpdateWP.exe is version 6.1.7600.16385 date modified 4/1/11
Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DeviceUpdate.dll is version 4.7.1404.3 date modified 4/1/11
When I run WP Support Tool, I get:
UpdateWP version 4.7.1404
Error: The installed version of the tool (4.7.1404) needs to be updated to match the Zune version (4.8.2345). Please install the tool version 4.8.2345.

It's been a while since I did this. But you did right, AMD64 is correct. And try the file I attached as that's the newest version to match your Zune software. Let us know if you run into anything :good:
(and no, I didn't create the file. I just have it archived from a working cab sender upgrade so credits go to the original poster)
Ok,.
So I installed WP Support Tools.
Copied the files you gave into the Zune directory.
Copied WP7 Backup 1.6 into the Zune directory.
Tried running a backup.
Attached is the error message I got.
I tried the cmd method and that gave the same error.
GoodDayToDie said:
I ran into this issue too.
First question: Is your Zune install in the default location? The support tool installer seems kind of... stupid. It always installs in \Program Files\Zune even if Zune isn't actually installed there. You can copy the files from that location to wherever Zune is installed, if not. Be careful of overwrites.
Next question (really the important one, but the question above can be the reason for the problem): Is there a file called wm7updatelib.dll, or similar, in the folder with your UpdateWP.exe? If so, is it the same version (exactly, down to the build number)? If not, you may need to re-install the support tool (I suggest uninstalling it first, using appwiz.cpl).

Looking at this post.
I have wm7update.dll (not wm7updatelib.dll). It is file version 1.0.0.1 /product version 7.0.0.0.
Can you post the right library file?
Thanks
-
Attached are a list of my files and versions in Zune folder. (Ignore the dual Microsoft and UpdateWP, I just added garbage text to the originals)
Backing up now.
Copied the files attached.
wm7update.dll
Interop.wm7updatelib.dll
Interop.ZuneWmdulib.dll

I've just update to 8773 myself as well. However, I want to ask you a question: whether we could re-write the firmware version also? My OS version is 7.10.8773.98, but firmware is 2250.1800.7720.219.
No idea. I noticed that too, but haven't seen anything about it just yet.

Yeah, maybe it's not necessary enough for us to consider that. However, I just noticed that while updating via Zune, this firmware version string is changed, but not with CAB sender. So, I just guess there might be a way to do it by ourselves too!
please note that the firmware package contains the bootloader drivers etc.etc.
Dell will probably not update those any more. The latest o.s. updates are provided by microsoft and they don't include any drivers whatsoever.
As long as the OS version is the most recent, you're good.

you need to root the device in order to access the system cache folder, then you can use ES file explorer to access that folder and copy the ota file to the internal sd card.

OK, „received” but what model: XT1032, XT1033?
For the lucky man who received ota and want to help other people to get it:
1. Go to settings - developers settings - usb debugging (turn it on)
2. Download adb from internet and connect your phone to PC.
3. Enter commands in command window:
adb logcat
If everything is right you'll see a lot of lines
If you see it then disconnect your phone. And connect it again. Enter:
Adb logcat > link.txt
Now you can press the button on your phone for downloading ota
Once you've pressed you can disconnect your phone from PC and share link.txt file from adb folder

Hi Guys,
Some people know me here but for the others, i look for new devices and try to find a way to root. I specified on devices, which are not had many devs, which works to find ways to get root and so i had around 5 Worldfirst roots from Asus to Acer and so on.
So, after 6 days of bricks, flashes, lot of time with the root scripts flooding around, i open the gate now!
The G4s had official 5.1.1 installed and probs to get root, since now.
This root is working on LG devices, which get "fail" on the send_command.exe or doesnt had SU installed after root session finished or doesnt boot after the root was done. So i think a lot of devices out there.
The problem with the new security is, that the diag port is not open. After many testings and time stoping i found the golden 9% after which the gate opens so that we could work with. :good:
on work
Lets try it out. I have also uploadet the kdz Firmware 10D if something goes wrong. Then sinple flash the kdz. No Data lost with the lg flash tool.
Lets start, driver, usb debugging...i think if someone want to root, he must know how to enable.
Deinstall LG Bridge and LG Air if installed!!!
1. Phone plug in with usb on usb port, usb debugging on, MTP
2. Unzip the rootworm.zip and click the rootworm script
3. G3 5.1.1 , LG H631 works without lg flash tool and is rootet now.
Some hard secured phones like the h735 had closed port. So with this devices we must use also LG FLash Tool 2014.
4. Open LG Flash Tool 2014
5. Choose kdz, smartphone (wm) and press normal flash (we dont flash, its only to open the port)
6. Now phone boot will direct try in Download Mode or reboot. On LG Flash tool run the line with the percents %
7. At around 5% the phone reach the Download Mode.
8. Now comes the trick, at 9% the port opens and then in green letters will stand COM X.
9. In this moment with the green COM X letters plug off the usb cable.
10.. Close LG Flash tool with Windows Task Manager. (The Flash progress bar and the flash tool direct).
11. Port is open and can connect again to pc and refresh the driver in device manager (yellow symbol)
12. shift right click in the zip an type SendCommand.exe \\.\COM(yourCOMport)
13. type 1 time ls, this will counter with fail. Then sh /data/local/tmp/rootworm.sh dummy 1 /data/local/tmp/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip /system/xbin/busybox
So, normaly thats it.
If i end my last University thesis, i will look for a twrp.
Have Fun!

I make the script ready. I post that 2 hours before, that people know that and not soft bricking her devices with root methods they not working. Thats the reason.
The more root options the better. Right now, we have to backup system, inject root, and flash a rooted_system.img back to phone. Seems like a lot of work.
However at least the option is there. I am looking forward to your findings.

Thank you very much. It was really a lot of work and debugging. Flashed many times to get the exact point were the port goes open without the flash procedure from flash tool.
Hope all goes well, was a lot of write work because lg used a lot of codes in the new phones and different Android versions.

root lgh735 with flashtool worked great.
LG Spirit H440n 5.0.1 latest version cannot be rooted with kingroot. Do you think I should give your method a try? Which kdz should I use? One of my own?
Edit: I think there has been some mistake and the command is "Send_Command.exe" and not "SendCommand.exe".
Alright. I did the LG FlashTool method with the COM 4 Green letters showing in phone and what I get is:

Has anyone tried this with a U.S. G4?
also the mega link requires a decryption key?
I'm also wondering what to do about the .kdz file as I haven't been able to find one online for the g4 beat... Any help is appreciated!!

Hi, i put a new script online with small changes. And also few point in the list. I was thinking that everybody do that but i read now that many people dont know the basics. Uninstall LG Air and LG Bridge. These tools take the com port. And for the fail devices i write the last point with the command. Some phones are su withous ls others not. So on the secure side, copy the line.
So, the best is you type now Push_File.exe \\.\COM6 busybox /system/xbin/busybox. Then the last command:
sh /data/local/tmp/rootworm.sh dummy 1 /data/local/tmp/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip /system/xbin/busybox
The other files must in data/local/tmp like always.

You can run the following command from the pc while connected to the phone to get the version of radio you are using. This should be more consistant for 6045Y users to identify unique radio's.
Code:
adb shell getprop | grep ro.tct.non.ver
Some examples of relevance:
1) Original out of the box 6045i radio (from my own device delivered in USA after the first few security updates were applied): K7SRA0A0BG00 [Internally dated July 22, 2015]
2) Last 5.0.2 version for 6045i before marshmallow was released (again from my own device doing a mobile Q restore right before it switched to marshmallow: K7SRN0N0BG00 [Internally dated Dec 18, 2015]
3) Original 6.0.1 version for 6045i (again from my own device): K7VAUEB0BG00. [Internally dated June 3, 2016] If your radio version says K7VAUEB0BG00 and you are not a 6045i then you certainly have the wrong radio version. Canadian/Mexican users with 6045i's may also have issues with this radio as it's set for the lte bands of T-mobile and AT&T. Marshmallow's build number in About phone begins with "7VA" and I'm reasonably certain that 5.0.2 was "7SR" so that will help you identify what version radio you are running (5.02 or 6.0.1).
I'll be adding the radio versions to the filenames in the folder. I'll also be updating the 6045i 5.0.2 modem zip to have the LATEST 5.0.2 modem as opposed to the earlier one. [DONE!]
Feel free to post your Model, Country, Cellular Provider, and Radio Version in this thread if it's not already mentioned. I'll try to compile them into a list. To simplify matters if you provide the info please do so in the following format:
Model: 6045x Radio: K7XXXXXXBG00 Country: xxx Provider: xxxxxxxxxx
I'm especially curious to see what vanilla 5.0.2 cricket users are running. Duplicate Radio versions will be removed. OLDER radio's will be moved to the new "Old Radio's" folder.
From the folder:
Model: 6045B Radio: K7SR9090BG00 Internally Dated: Sep 1, 2015

"ro.tct.non.ver" does not exist on my Idol 3? I have 6045i Telus version, currently rom is CM12.1. First off the command above does not work in Win 10, just says grep is not installed. If I run "adb shell getprop" from the command line to list everything, the string your looking for is not listed? There's lots of "ro" stuff listed, but nothing "ro.tct". I can also run getprop from a adb shell, same results obviously. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

From an adb shell on the phone you should be able to run "getprop | grep non.ver" and see your radio version. It doesn't magically go away...failing that you can paste your whole getprop.
Example:
[email protected]:/ $ getprop | grep non.ver
[ro.tct.non.ver]: [K7SRA0A0BG00]
Alcatel does all sorts of weird things with the different models.
@famewolf
The example above "getprop | grep non.ver" returns nothing. I've looked at every single value listed in getprop, and there's nothing about the radio. There's no values that start with a "K" or a "7" like the radio numbers you've listed above.

Please provide the full results of "getprop" as requested of the other user. I'm not saying your wrong. I'm just saying if it's NOT there I need to see the full getprop to see if they named it something else. As always the final solution is to provide the modem and I can extract the version info.
I've added version to the filenames of all the radio's in the radio folder. https://mega.nz/#F!u0UBAICD!DzKYnswfK5J6dw5WQNgEDg
@famewolf
What other user, I'm the only one who's responded.....
And how do I do that, with screen shots of the output? Or can that info be saved to a file somehow?

Sorry..switched from phone to pc and thought it was two different folks asking.
run from phone "getprop > /sdcard/getprop.txt"
then you can cut/paste it or zip it and attach to a post.

I was trying that and kept getting "read only errors", wasn't redirecting to sdcard.
Here's the file...
View attachment getprop.txt
The problem is cyanogenmod more than anything else. They've pulled the command so you can't get the version.
I'll be posting my radio info and modem backup extracted from stock mobile q recovery tomorrow, Tues at the latest.
6045O Cricket version, fl, usa.
I need to make and store full backups before mobile q cricket moves to mm anyway!

Compare it to the one already in the folder (the name has the version)..no need to repost same or earlier version. (it's alphabetical so A0A0 is younger than N0N0)
Roger that!
