Appreciate any help please
Try using ADB sideload:
1.You have to first get the new android sdk.
2. Then launch a command prompt where the adb sideload program is located. I believe it's \SDK\platform-tools.
3. Place the rom (Zip file) in that same folder as step 2.
4. Boot into TWRP recovery.
5. Select ADB Sideload from Advanced > ADB Sideload.
6. In the command prompt launched from step 2, type in command "adb sideload filename.zip". The "filename.zip" will be changed to the name of your rom, which is located in the same folder as the adb sideload program. You can have a different path, but this makes things easier.
7. The rom should now be transferring to your phone.
I don't remember if I had to install a special adb sideload driver to get this to work. If the above method doesn't work for you, try installing that adb sideload driver and then launching the program via command prompt.

Hello everyone.
I just replaced my old Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (i8190) by a new ZTE Blade V220 (nifty hardware at nifty price, EURO 140, WOOT).
I chose it because I didn't want to make a great spent, only to find out that there is no development on this model and that it doesn't even appear on ZTE webpage, so I can't "root" it or change the recovery.
As per Mseskir, this phone is the same than "Avea Intouch 4", a phone sold by a turkish brand.
Below are the hardware details:
- Qualcomm MSM8916 quad core 1'2 Ghz
- 800/900/1800/2100/2600 Mhz CAT 4
- 5" IPS screen (1280 x 720), looks nicer than the super AMOLED S3 mini screen
- 1 Gb RAM + 8 Gb storage (2 gb already spent for OS, even though it brings no bloatware at all)
- Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, WIFI, SD card slot
- 13 Mpx back camera with autofocus, and 5 mpx front camera (not top-notch quality, but good enough for me)
- 2100 mAh battery
- 139 x 71,5 x 9,5 mm (the back is too curvy for most hard covers ).
- Android KITKAT 4.4.4
ROOT steps:
A) I had to use the ZTE ADB drivers bundled with the phone (just mount USB in "driver mode" option
and run the bundled exe in your mobile storage).
The drivers will be installed in "C:\Program Files\ZTE_Handset_USB_Driver". Remember this directory.
B) Download "Root-SuperSU-v2.37.zip" from file from mseskir's yandex drive, within the "root"
folder. You can find the link in his post below. Upload without unzipping to your mobile internal memory.
You will need it later.
C) Download the "IT4_Recovery_Yukleme_Programı.exe" file from mseskir's yandex drive, within the "root"
folder. You can find the link in his post below.
D) Unzip "IT4_Recovery_Yukleme_Programı.exe" and get "recovery.img" (recover with TWRP) or
"recovery_stock.img" (if you prefer stock recovery) from the "tools" folder.
I will use "recovery.img" because I have been using TWRP since my old Xperia Neo V.
Copy the your "recovery.img" of choice to the folder where the USB ADB drivers was installed.
Copy the "fastboot.exe" file there too.
E) Enable "USB ADB debug" in android "Developer Options". Ensure that Windows detects and installs
the drivers properly.
F) Open command prompt and go to "C:\Program Files\ZTE_Handset_USB_Driver"
G) Type "adb devices", if everything goes well you will see your phone serial number listed
there. If you receive some error while starting the daemon, ensure that no other ADB app
is running in the background or try another ADB drivers.
You can check your phone serial number in the mobile itself: Phone Information --> Status
H) Type "adb reboot bootloader" in command prompt. The phone will reboot and will get stuck in boot image
with the notification led in red (scary, but don't worry, it's all fine).
I) Type "fastboot devices" in command prompt. You will see again the phone serial number in the window.
The phone screen will remain unchanged, like if it where frozen, but don't worry, everything is still fine.
J) Ensure that you have copied "recovery.img" in the same folder than adb.exe and fastboot.exe
( "C:\Program Files\ZTE_Handset_USB_Driver", as I mentioned earlier).
Then, type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". If you copied the "recovery.img" and the "fastboot.exe"
to the driver folder you will see the flash progress. It will take one or two seconds and give you an "ok" message.
K) Type "fastboot reboot" and the mobile will reboot. Let it boot till the end. Disconect USB cable and
shutdown the mobile completely.
L) Push and maintain "volume up". While you maintain "volume up", push "power" button a few seconds
to start the mobile. Keep maintaining "volume up" until TWRP boot screen appears.
M) Flash "Root-SuperSU-v2.37.zip" with TWRP. You should have already copied it to mobile storage if you followed my advice in point "B". Reboot to system and it's done.
I leave this here so if anyone searches for this phone like me, he will know how to succesfully root it.
Thanks to everyone in advance.

Hi, your phone is same like my phone "avea intouch 4" this is my files link
https://yadi.sk/d/8GHocBtnfTp7A
Go to root folder, download the IT4_recovery_yukleme_programi.exe
Run it, turn usb debugging on in your phones devoloper options then connect your phone select twrp recovery yukleme in the programs menu, a message will pop up on your phone, select "ok" then it will reboot to bootloader and flash twrp recovery to device. After reboot open the twrp recovery and firstly backup your device to sdcard1 and copy it to your pc then install supersu package from my root folder. Thats all.
But first you must install drivers.
If anything goes wrong i will help you as i can.
If you cant use the program (its language is Turkish) i will make an english program tomorrow.

Thanks @mseskir, I have tried it without luck.
When using option 2, I receive "sonraki asamaya gecmiyorsa suruculeri tekrar yukleyiniz" which means
something like "Your driver does not pass to the next stage reload".
So I uninstalled the ADB drivers that came bundled within the phone storage, and installed the ones on your link,
but still the same even after reboot and complete clean.
Any suggestion?.

Ok. Can you try this;
open my exe file with 7zip and extract
open tools folder
click right mouse button with shift (from keyboard) pressed
select open command prompt here
in command prompt;
type adb device
on your phone screen a warning will pop up, select ok
then you will see your phones serial number in cmd window
then type;
adb reboot bootloader
your phone will reboot to bootloader,
type;
fastboot devices
if you cant see serial number; go to my yandex folder, in tools folder; AdbDriverInstaller.exe download it and run it. it will install the fastboot drivers
then type "fastboot devices" again, if you can see your serial number type;
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
then type "fastboot reboot"
if you dont want twrp recovery you can use cwm recovery, it is inside my root folder IT4_Root_Anlatımı.zip (extract it, there is cwm recovery)
if something goes wrong tell me..

I got TWRP (i'm used to it) working and root by working following your instructions, thank you very much.
But I have had to use my own adb files taken from zte drivers installer (bundled with the mobile)
as replacement from the ones bundled in your zip file, which always errored out for me when trying
to start the service.
The only scary moment was when I issued "adb reboot bootloader" and the mobile got stuck on ZTE boot image. I was waiting for a while for bootloader to appear, but it didn't happen, so I proceed with next step.
When I have some time tomorrow or weekend, I will update the first post for the proper steps to attain root.
helpful thanks
lollipop update
avea intouch4 original 5.0 update files
http://www.avea.com.tr/web/android5update/update.zip
How to update zte blade v220 Download update zip that link. And move sdcard then settings-Phone information-System updates and press OK
It shows recovery wait here.
Later Phone will start and 'll boot 5.0.2
I would advice to avoid updating the phone to V5.0.2 with the update file because of the following:
A) You will lose your existing root. You will have to root again Use http://www.kingroot.net/ for easy and clean root.
B) You will have trouble connecting to previously working WLAN networks (I'm suffering it right now, lots of people complaining about this, just click here "https://www.google.es/webhp?sourcei...8#q=android 5.0.2 wifi authentication problem" to see what I mean). Using "Wifi Fixer" app it sometimes works well, sometimes it disconnects itself, I need to check further.
C) Only English, German, French and Turkish languages are available in the update. Although I miss the Spanish language, I could live with english. Partly fixed with "Set Locale and Language" app from Google Play
D) I'm still trying to figure out how to flash TWRP to restore my 4.4.4 backup.
E) Fastboot support with 5.0.2 is crimpled so I can't use it to reflash TWRP. I can't seem to find a valid TWRP version to flash with "TWRP manager" either.
F) Don't know if it's a bug or not, but screen switches on and off when idle and locked without any reason that I can find. It bothers me a lot!.
G) Just discovered that this update also locks bootloader. That's the reason I can't flash recovery.img back.
Be warned.
I give up with this!
Well, after a few days trying different solutions to install a TWRP recovery to recover my stock backup, I have messed it up to the point that I'm now stuck in the following status:
The phone gets stuck in bootloop with Avea logo. It heats up a lot but doesn't boot no matter how long you wait.
Before messing it up, I managed to install Phil6 recovery version 6.57.9 (I still can access it with VOL+ and power button).
This Phil6 version I got seems to be compiled for "sprout" hardware, so it will always error up when trying to flash roms for msm8916 hardware.
Any other roms I try to flash that don't error up with sprout message will always fail with "error: 0". I have tested a few roms with two different SD cards, so it's not a badly downloaded rom.
Restoring my TWRP backup with Phil6 doesn't error out, but the phone still doesn't pass the avea logo.
I first went for a 6" Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, but the main camera quality was terrible and it heated up a lot, enough to unglue the screen protector.
So I returned it to the shop and picked a Huawei Ascend P8.
Much better hardware than V220, much better still camera, slightly worse video recording quality (IMHO), and twice as expensive as the V220, but it really flies compared to the V220, gentlemen.
Thanks everyone.
Thanks to @ozgurharan's rom, I have been able to bring back to life my ZTE Blade V220.
This is his rom's link, I got his permission to post it here: https://yadi.sk/d/uv3bhb0knX8nn
Too bad that I still can't restore my TWRP backup or the original KitKat rom with spanish language, but something is better than nothing.
Be warned that this rom has only English, French, Turkish and Deutsch languages.
Thanks a lot @ozgurharan

Use kingroot. It worked for me.
@mseskir, do you happen to still have the previous TWRP version for Avea Intouch 4 (I think it was 2.7.0.3 or around it)?.
I have flashed your current TWRP 2.8.6.1 to root the phone but this version can't mount SD card, so I can't flash zip files from SD card.
The File Explorer shows SD card as 0 Mb, but if I boot the phone SD card is recogniced and will work well.
Or if you have a newer version than 2.8.6.1 that doesn't fail to mount SD card will be fine too.
NOTE: Long story short with my previous struggles with Blade V220 and horrible Android 5.0.2 update. Doing some tests I did a very bad flash and f##ked the phone completely,
so I had to send it to ZTE tech support. The phone was still on warranty so they replaced the phone PCB with a new one that has Android 4.4.4.
Thanks in advance.

Is this is TWRP for Marshmallow? Because the recovery files.you have uploaded are dated 25th September 2015?
@mfbcool yes...this is for Marshmallow... But dont swipe allow modifications!!
Member gettin error after swiping...just do read only...
I root my device by this method yesterday
but today root not work in titanum backup
I check it by root checker and everything is ok
Even though this method works, I would not recommend moving SuperSU to system partition. I didn't moved it and still SU permissions are working fine. I say so because Chainfire in his new SuperSU adopted a 'Systemless Root' method that roots without modifying the system partition so that apps like Android Pay work properly. He achieved this by patching the Boot image and so root is installed in boot image and is enabled at every boot (that's why you may experience some boot loops after rooting). This makes taking OTA updates and unrooting the device easier as you can unroot by flashing the Stock Boot.img instead of flashing the whole system partition.
I believe moving SuperSU to system partition destroys the main purpose and idea Chainfire had while making SuperSU compatible with Marshmallow. We all know EMUI won't update on Rooted devices. So it would be a pain to reflash whole Stock System Partition before taking OTA.
Hi thanks, I'm root my mobile I'm in android 6.0 now how to get back to kikkat a stock rom from twrp
@G E N E R A L open supersu app and tick the mount name separation and restart phone... Titanium, kingroot all will recognize root
Hit thanks if it helps....
@TMDMOOSA if you wanna go back to KK, Flash stock recovery first!!
Then flash the back pkg B320, then B070
If you gets error, flash middle pkg of chc rom and then flash directly KK Rom usin stock recovery!!

I have successfully built TWRP 3.0.0-0 for our device which fixes the weird swipe to allow modifications bug and is fully compatible with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-0-0-huawei-honor-4c-t3349495
Also, to re-flash Stock ROM, you don't need to flash Stock Recovery. Huawei phones have 2 inbuilt recoveries. The second recovery (which is the Stock) can be accessed by 3 buttons method (Power + Volume Up + Volume Down).
@mfbcool i saw that thread early... Great work man... I know huawei have 2 inbuilt recoveries but 2nd one is erecovery and thats of no use at all... I tried it too many times!! If twrp 3.0 can flash update.app files,,, it gonna rocks , wish u best of luck man!! You did it

I do not know whether or not this helps you in any way, since the original post has been made quite some time ago, but it may be worth a try...
This phone was sold in a few countries, and one of them I know about was Thailand. If you look up the corresponding official ZTE support page, you get this:

They might not be full ROMs, but should they really help, it would be recommended to directly host them somewhere else too, in case they are removed.
ZTE ROMs are a hard task to hunt down, if this does not help I strongly recommend to dig deeper down into their support page...
Dear Member,
i too faced problem in LYF LS-5021 looks same ZTE S7-T920. i found incomplete rom from internet, which failed in flash & came to dead. Later i found update.zip for LYF in that i found that is same as S7.
I edited rawprogram.xml to file given to download & flashed. After flash phone came alive & updated with update.zip.
Now phone came to normal.
May be it will help for u.... attached updater script of Lyf LS-5021.
Inside the zip's from the ZTE -homepage u gonna find the update.zip file .... which perfectly works for the S7.
So ... is the LYF LS-5021 exactly the same phone as the S7 ... any differences?
New ROMs available?
I would also like to know if there are any updates available for the Blade S7 (other than Lolipop 5.1). I managed to download the update.zip from the ztedevice . com website and followed the instruction and was able to update using the Blade S7 ROM but only Lolipop 5.1 is available. Can anyone confirm if LYF LS-5021 ROM can be used on the S7 and what ROM's are available?

The real question is if there is anything official above 5.1 available for the Lyf. Needrom seems to host official 6.0, but it would be nice to confirm that with Lyf support. IDK if they would answer, but you might as well should try your luck with the ZTE ROM compatibility (tough they most likely will not take any responsibility and not advise you to try flashing their ROM). Their support page is here:

Also Lyf LS-5021 may be the Lyf Earth?

It is the Lyf Earth 2 (or second gen earth). Just checked Needrom and cannot find any rom for Blade S7 . I will check Needrom for official Lyf 6.0. But thanks for the feedback.

Now find TWRP recovery from xda somewhere for the zte blade s7
The thread
https://www.google.com/amp/s/forum....eneral/zte-s7-blade-recovery-cm-t3567806/amp/
Direct download link
https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/0B4Ya5mT9NhjqUUZyVTFDT18xQlU
-Download the above file on the phone
- after the download, there will be a file called recovery.img
- open flashify and slide to backup/restore
-backup the current recovery
-after backup slide back to Flash and pick Recovery Image
-pick choose a file and find the recovery.img that we downloaded earlier
And flash
-After flashing is done press flash more and it will leave you on the flash menu...
-press the three dot on the top right or left side (mine is right side)
-choose reboot recovery...
And now twrp will show up...
On first boot to twrp it will ask for allowing to modify the system...
Just swipe the blue circle
And now choose backup
For me, I check all the box to backup everything but the nesesary one is just boot and system...
And wallaahh backup done...
For my recommendation ,backup the file to a memory card and put it in a safe place just for safety.. Because you wont know maybe you'll accidentally deleted the file while formatting...
And that's it... Well done...
Anyone can help?
I need custom rom for zte blade s7
Is there any flashable msm8939.mbn/hex and msimage_8939.mbn for this phone? or any other unbrick method for ZTE Blade S7? I'm searching the net inside out and cant find a thing. Somebody please point in the right direction
I would really appreciate it to the max
We hit a dead end with this phone
I have a way but u need brains to do the following...
-To flash a custom recovery to the phone via sp flash tool or adb
The reason is because I have a backup rom of my zte t920 but it needs a custom recovery to reflash

I dont think sp flash tool can help on this... Becuase it needs the actual firmware scatter loading file... Which in this case... I dont have... :crying: still finding a way to create the scatter file myself.. No luck..
So.. Adb should be the hero here... But only if u hv usb debuging enabled before
Using a pc or laptop install adb to your pc/laptop from anywhere in xda...
The fastest and easiest is on this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
And download the twrp recovery image. From this thread
#the recovey is named recovery.img#
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/tutorial-how-to-install-twrp-zte-blade-t2953998
*1* Download and install the adb on ur pc and put the custom recovery in any folder #inside an empty folder with the recovery is the best choice#
*2* After installing the adb.. Go inside the folder that contains the recovery.img...
*3* #without highlighting any file# put ur mouse pointer at any empty space in the folder , HOLD SHIFT AND RIGHT CLICK ON YOUR MOUSE. And there will be an extra option that says Open Command Prompt here or Open Power Shell here
*4* Try to boot up ur device as far as it can go in this case the zte logo and and on the pc inside the command prompt from *3* and type in adb devices and press enter.. If it shows a reading. Example, F2xhk7 device ur in luck... Go to *5*
.. But if it shows red notes.. . Try changing usb ports and usb cable #in my case before... The computer usb 3.0 port does not read my device.. *the usb port coloured blue*.. so I use other ports and it worked# :fingers-crossed:
If it still does not connect.. Then ur out of luck... The only way is through sp flash tool... Try asking one of the developers to help...
*5* congratulations if u made it here.. now back on business...
-Type in adb reboot fastboot and the device will restart to fastboot
-Now type in fastboot flash recovery recovery.img note *the recovery.img must be the duplicate as the name of the recovery* * I repeat the command is. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img the word recovery is meant to be there *
- after the flash ,reboot the device into recovery by typing.
fastboot reboot recovery or either combimation of power and volume up button
If the recovery shows twrp.. Ur in luck then..
Jo_bell, you sir, are the man!:good: ....i will await your Google drive link. Would generating a scatter file require an actual working ZTE blade S7 to do? Or cant it be generated using a tool of some sort?

I don't see this will help though. The phone wont boot up, so I cant put the phone in recovery mode or download mode.
So I cant flash TWRP or even do SD card upgrade with it. If there's anything in that firmware from the link you left above that
can help boot up the phone again, please by all means point it out.
I really appreciate it thanks

I have already rooted my Sharp p1 so here steps for getting root(Magisk root only):
It is needed to unlock bootloader first:
1. Go to the Settings -> About phone, scroll down and tap on the Build number several times until you get message that you are a developer.
2. After that go to the Settings -> Developer options. Enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
3. Download adb drivers: k-tai.sharp.co.jp/support/developers/driver/index.html
4. Install them, don't forget to disable driver signature verification on your computer.
5. Download ADB zip archive and extract it in C:\adb.
dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
6. Open the Command Prompt as Administrator. Go to the adb folder with command: cd C:\adb
3. Enter your phone into fastboot mode: turn phone off, than press volume down and power button and connect USB in the same time.
4. Than enter this commands in command prompt:
fastboot oem unlock-go
fastboot erase userdata
After that it's possible to flash patched boot.img:
1. Download patched boot(for build number 00TW_1_190): yadi.sk/d/L7blgSOi3Rxpab
2. Place patched_boot.img file into C:\adb folder
3. Flash it with comand in fastboot:
fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
4. Download and install magisk manager on your phone
5. Install zip archive of magisk from manager
This is all. Good luck!
PS: All the user data will be erased after this. Also phone have to be updated to the last firmware. If someone don't want to update the phone (some people got broken wifi and bluetooth after update), he or she must use boot.img from their firmware and patch it in Magisk manager. Correct boot.img can be extracted from update file of their firmware: 4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=882709&st=2740#entry70267350
Being root, do you know if it's possible to install another firmware image on the Aquos P1, like the one of the SHV34 (which is Android 8)? I believe both phones have the exact same hardware...
The trouble is, the SHV34 Android 8 update is OTA and there's no firmware file available for download.

No, I don't know. There are update files of Android 7 and 8 for shv34 on 4pda.ru forum, but it isn't full update. Only system, boot and vendor images are full, all other are patches. I think we need help of Android developer to create firmware from shv34 update, if it possible.
Few months ago one developer started making Lineage OS 14 for our phone, but developing stuck because there wasn't someone to test all new stuff and make logcats, like test new kernel. Also guys from 4pda started donating for the phone to send it to developer, but didn't donate full price by this time.

As I know, it is not possible to access fastboot on shv34, so the only way is to do something like this https://blog.tewi.love/?p=135
The same is for sh-04h and 506sh. Only sharp p1 has fastboot
I have softbank sharp aquos 506sh.
My build mumber is s1008, nougjat 7.0.
I want to update to oreo.
After net search, i installed japan vpn.
But when i try to update, it gives error that " this service is unavailable because can not read sim card".
I tried both ways inserting sim card. And removing it, but still get the same response.
Kindly guide when how i can update it.
Sim works fine in mobile.
I have trief factory resetting 2 3 times from inside settimg menu, as it do not boot in recovery,

I also have 506SH, and im stuck on Marshmallow. Same USIM Error, the VPN trick dont work with this model!! and it dont have fast boot or recovery as far as i know. Is it possible you can dump a clean backup of ur OS 7. I just want to update my OS, not looking for root etc!!
dear if you can tell me the procedure, iwould definitely do it.
if even make a dump, how you would flash it without fastboot, root, recovery,
i am seraching from last week, but could not find any clues

I have found this method online "Using FlashFire App (Root users)" But it require a rooted set! and I believe to apply this dump the target set must be rooted too! I think 506SH has no root either!!
https://www.the***********.com/backup-android-device-guide/
I dont know why no1 ever backup the download OTA of the firmware and posted it anywhere!!
I will try this logcat method! and will report back!! i dont think it will work! I think there is some sort of SIM issue! because I notice in my phone! the baseband has no version! just 00 00 00!!

baseband 00 00 00 is beacuse you are still on marshmallow 6.0 , which was out of factory version, i am on noughat 7.0, my baseband is 1.00 00 00, and if i ever get oreo, it will be 200 00 00, every company has its nown symbols and styles
logcat method can work if ota update essage apperas, but unfortunately, we dont have that option still.
lets search on local olx for 506sh users, maybe some one has upgraded oreo or some methods . maybe whole sellers in karachi bringing sharp phones, have some clues,
When I reset My phone and setup first time! I get the Automatic update pop up!! I will try to logcat at this stage to see if it shows any URL!! in Karachi phone shop have no clue, they even dont know this phone has a 120Hz screen! the shop I bought my phone from was telling me if I found a working root method! he can give me the contract to root these sets!

that automatic update message which appears is just due to reset.
thing which i understand is that update process is not accepting wifi, and goes for sim data.
because in SOFTBANK website, they stated, either wifi or sim data required
